Speck Cases

I'm not sure about everyone's preference here to what cases they enjoy, but I have been emailing http://www.speckproducts.com/products/by_device about them making a case for the Nexus One. They have some really nice fitted cases for iPhones and Blackberrys and would love to get one on my N1.
Anyone else interested can submit a request as I did.

Hi,
I would say without a doubt Vaja are the best makers of phone cases in the world. They allow you to customise your choice of case & hand make to order.
The best famous case they make is the Iphone Ivolution cases.
I have opened a thread previously in accessories section requesting people to contact vaja via the Vaja home page to make a Ivolution case for the Nexus One.
If you search on the net "Iphone Ivolution" you will know what I am talking about.
At the moment I have settled with using a Sena Ultraslim Brown pouch.

I've owned vaja cases for my ex n95 8gb. I really like the look of the speck products. I wwas hoping more people would see them and ask if they would make one for the N1. I dont think they would unless there is a demand for it. But thank for your suggestions

I would love a Speck case. On my wife's iPhone, we use the hard shell case (silicone inside, hard shell outside) and my toddler BEATS it up. She throws it down the steps and practically everywhere else and the phone still looks brand new (been about a year with same case).

I have been looking for a case for my HTC Sensation 4G.
The main purpose is to save a phone in case of an accidental drop.

Looks like you already have done some research on this. But based on what you want....meaning in case of an accidental drop I think out of the ones you posted, the trident one is the one I think would be the best overall case. I personally use the seidio active case with kickstand with holster and it looks great and I feel safe in not having any exposed corners to chip or bump into.

Sorry I was incorrect in mentioning the trident case, it was the case mate that I was referring to as per video in that thread.

I'm using the Seido case right now. I love it. I've had it for about 2 months now. Glad I got this one. I like the fact that when you put it in the holster the screen faces in.

I use the Otterbox commuter series, but I think I'm going to switch to the Seidio Active. I don't like the fit of the Otterbox.

I posted a video review of these cases. It compares the Trident, Seidio, and CaseMate. It's in this forum somewhere.

I LOVE this case. The only thing that bugs me is that oils from hands stays on the case, and feels a little disgusting. The other bad thing is that the opening for the micro-USB port is a little smaller than it should be.
Other than that, it's an amazing case. Very protective, sleek, doesn't collect dust, and looks good!
I'm thinking about buying the Body Glove custom fit case, which is a hard-shell case covered in soft-touch coating. At Wal-Mart for $16. Just to try it out.

Didn't see much good reviews on the body glove case.
Free case is good, but more than that I'm willing to pay of a case that will protect my $500 phone

My brother uses a Casemate Tough Case. As a rough-and-tumble kind of guy, he didn't even want to get a case for his phone until I made him, lol. So far he's dropped his phone numerous times with the case on and, I quote him, "It just bounces!. It's a pretty bulky case but if you're looking for protection, I'd recommend it.

I own CM Tough and I'm very satisfied with it,although i don't use it all the time..Dropped the phone 2 times with it on pavement(clumsy me:/) and nothing happened,even the case didn't get any scratches.Also i find it very easy wearing it in pocket,even though it is kinda robust.Compared it to some other case(dont know the brand) and i like CMT more..My vote goes to it.

I'm very satisfied with CM Tough too. It may seem a bit bulky but it still feels pretty good in my hands. It offers excellent protection and looks good too IMHO.

Personally - I prefer this case! I realize it probably doesn't suit your needs, however it suits mine and I figured I'd share what I use.

Holy crap tyrol, Im all for great pics but those are some big ass pics lol. Either host them somewhere or upload a smaller pic bro. I had to scroll to the right to view the pics bigtime. Some of us view these forums on our phone/netbooks/tablets!

So i have a sensation on the way, so just trying to get everything ordered before the phone gets here.
I need a case. I have been looking through this accessories section, i cant seem to narrow it down to one...too many choices.
Please help me, this is some of the stuff i am looking for:
I dont want to spend more then $20
I dont want to add much bulk
dont want silicone as it collects tons of lint/dust
do want to be able to easily press the buttons.
Please help

For 10bux USD, this case is nicely built but IMO detracts the shape of the Sensation. But a good case.

But if you prefer under 20 dollar cases, you are looking for tpu type cases which you have ordered. And actually which I currently use now. Prior I was using the Seidio Active case w/ kickstand combo with holster. Great case combo for the price on ebay or amazon, which cheaper than Seidio of course.

They look pretty good and the seller has got very good feedback, what do you guys think? I mean, there isn't that much you could do wrong with gel cases (I mean in terms of manufacturing ...), right? So has anyone tried these out or any similar ones and wants to share his thoughts?

I bought one just like theese cases, but never delivered to me.

The 'soft crystal', or TPU, cases are great. I usually buy mine from amazon or ebay. Optimus V and S cases are the same. Make sure that you get one that has all the proper cut-outs (the ebay link above doesn't have the hole for the speaker next to the camera).

I have heard issues about some of these gel cases leaving residue on the phone and rubbing the paint off. Some of these issues have been brought up in other threads so just make sure you do your research before you select your case!

They look kinda cheap imo...

I'm sure they work well.

5 for $8? must be pretty cheap.

My boyfriend had a tpu case for his v. I loved it compared to my silicone case. It's alot sturdier than silicone, mine ripped easy. He had a problem with the phone overheating while the case was on though, but he worked outside and I think that was the main issue there. It's a great alternative to silicone and plastic cases which tear or break easily.

I have a robber one and works just fine... quite ugly tough

I have the same case and it's only OK...makes the phone thick and it's not very soft.
And dang, I paid 3.50$ for it

Also if you keep the phone in your pocket, while taking it out the case usually slips off and over time loses shape

Or you can use no case, just be careful (or don't, my lg felt like 10 times and it has only 2 scratches)

I just ran across this on Amazon and saw it had decent reviews. I'm still looking for something as protective as the unicorn beetle but with a better feel on the buttons (don't know what they changed from their old cases, but the rubber on this one makes them mushy).
Since the search function for specific forums seems gone, I figured I'd ask.

UPDATE: I picked this one up in Red after looking at a bunch of reviews for the same case on other phones here and elsewhere. Looks like it might be a good solution, I'll let everyone know how it turns out and if it fits into any of the holsters I have already.
Now someone buy the other one I posted and test it. LOL

That looks tempting, let me mull over it. I need to stop buying cases so I can use the money for other dumb things like a nice Damascus Bencmade 940

I considered this case too, but I can't stand cases with built in screen protectors...

They always come out, reviewers already confirmed it comes out easily.
