I'm currently running avatar 7.0 and after flashing avatar rom, none of my apps on the home page have the title of the name under it. Also, is there any way to find more themes on the theme chooser app that came with the rom? It seems like there aren't many themes to available.
data
Also, how do i change my phone's data usage from 3g to 4g? The APN is the same as the old one, and when i turn on wifi then turn it off, it switches to 4g for a few seconds before switching back to 3g.

1/ mine is the same. Most people install an extra Launcher (Go, Nova ect), I don't feel the need to
2/ Search around for an app named "Themes Chooser Theme", or you can go to Google Play and search for CM10 theme, after you download it, it's gonna be in your Themes Chooser app

I downloaded a new theme and now i cant get the Notifications Panel back on top of my screen. I removed the theme and reset the phone but still cant get my Notifications Panel back.
Help!
Give us some details. What theme did you install, which ROM are you on, which Launcher are you using, how did you uninstall/reinstall things - we need more details to help.
Im on the Infused Rom 1.6.3
The theme was the Honey Comb 3.0 theme for ADW launcher
I installed the theme from the market and uninstalled it from the market
ADW launcher in the general behavior settings has options for swipe down and up actions. You can go there to change the settings to none to make sure you don't hide the notifications.
yeah i was thinking you downloaded a theme for the rom not the launcher which if for the wrong rom may cause that and a revert update.ziup if for the wrong rom might not fix it. but it being adw it is likely that you have something in settings set to hide the notification bar and no major issues
Ive been all through the setting about 50 times and cant get it to come back.. Im just gonna restore my working backup and not mess with ADW themes any more.
I just installed Infused 2.2.3 and its still not there.. Not good..
Sorry just trying to help. Have you tried a different launcher? In adw in screen preferences is hide statusbar checked. If so that hides the notification bar.
I removed all the launchers and all the themes i had on the phone.
Hi everyone,
I'm new to xda although have been reading along for quite some time but finally have a question that is bugging me enough that I want to ask.
I had been using the Cobalt CM9/AOKP Theme by dustinb on the Play Store for awhile and liked the tweaked icons it used for many common applications. Now, after starting to use the Nova launcher, I noticed that the theme still works for most of my phone but it does not change the icons anymore.
I saw that the Nova launcher actually has a setting that allows the icon set to be changed but nothing shows up for Cobalt there. Does anyone know if there is a way to force Nova to use the Cobalt icons or if there is a way to separate out the Cobalt icon set from the Cobalt theme and format it so that it can be selected in the Nova icon set setting dialog.
From everything I have read, there doesn't seem to be a way to easily change an individual application's icon like the .desktop file used in Linux.
I just found that the icons do change after reboot. Sorry for posting a question before trying everything. I didn't even think of rebooting since the rest of the theme worked right away and the icons used to change without reboot on CM9 and the standard Trebuchet launcher.
Thanks,
Boz

Hello all,
New Galaxy S2 user here. Coming from a line of exclusively HTC Sense phones and ROMs.
I'm wondering if it's possible (and easy) to change the icons for default apps in CM9 or TW based ROMs? Specifically the "Messaging" icon - I hate the "smiley" face. Makes me feel 12 years old again.
I've done a few searches, but I'm not looking to replace the entire icon set or the ROM or theme... just one icon.

The hard way is to download the apk, open it up, replace the images with the ones you want, repackage it, and reinstall it. The easy way is to use a launcher that allows you to change the icon. I know Apex and Nova do, not sure about any others.

Also check out "Desktop Visualizer" in the market .
But as already mentioned ....the different launchers are the best & easiest way.
Holo launcher is another one.
Good Luck.

Go Launcher as well. Go, Nova, and Apex have the ability to use icon sets made for each other.
Hmmm... going to an entirely different launcher seems like overkill, but I guess if it works...
There used to be apps on the Market that would allow you to create shortcuts with different icons (BetterCut comes to mind, but the dev pulled it from the Market entirely).
If you don't want a new launcher, try Desktop Visualizer (though I have yet to figure out how to get it to use an existing icon pack). There are a lot of options in it and it's a great program.
What if we use Nova Launcher but set a theme from the new TouchWiz themes... will it theme the phone dialer and other apps, or no?
I would say so. All other themes you you can get for Samsung phones through modding, romming, Wanam Xposed all work if you use Nova.
Touchwiz is only the launcher after all. The UI is spidered into lots of other stuff, so it should work.
i'm currently using nova launcher prime and yes it will change your dialer and the notification expand with all the quick settings, etc. its pretty cool using the purple theme, but i would wait until more neutural colored touchwiz themes are out, there's not many to choose from right now.
i want to add that nova launcher and the S6 is the best combination and i like how the S-Health walking widget can still be used. I remember on the S5 you couldn't use health widgets from samsung if you used a 3rd party launcher.

Only took the time to do this since you've given so much to the communty. i chose a very obvious custom theme to help everyone see what is affected after applying Nova Launcher.
Album
Notice the TouchWiz theme affects dialer, notifications/quick settings, settings menu, however it does NOT affect app drawer.
Icons, and font, also do not get affected as they are controlled by the 3rd party launcher (Nova).
I immediately reverted back to default TouchWiz theme after this..... LOL. Will be installing my favorite kovdev icon packs (https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=kovdev&hl=en)
kovdev icons+nova launcher+S6 hardware = dream experience for me personally. will most likely only look into twrp recovery and xposed and nothing more for this S6.

Woah that is so sweeet!!!! Not the actual theme, that is ugly as sin.... But once Samsung releases the themeing tool, I know people will make some [email protected]$$ themes!! I can't wait... thanks for the screenies brotha.
I was wondering if there's a way to change the icons of MIUI launcher. There are plenty of themes but I want to customize the icons on my own as I usually do with all my devices.
I usually just install Nova launcher and do everything, but since stupid MIUI breaks gesture navigation upon changing the home app I am searching for a way to change the icons of certain apps with my own Wich till now I do by making a custom apk and installing it.
Unfortunately MIui launcher does not seem to allow doing it that way.
I've tried with MIUI Theme manager apk from app store, but when I open it it's saying that I don't have any themes and I should check them in theme manager Wich is not true( I've downloaded some from themes app already)
Would appreciate any help if you guys know how I can do this.
