Ok, so this is a MediaTek processor and PowerVR GPU. I can not see the relevance for the Ideos X6 & clone (Qualcomm CPU+GPU) development.

[Q] Best place to buy generic android phones?

I've been looking at knockoff android phones from a couple of different sites. Being a nerdist that I am I thought about getting one of these generic phones to use as a multimedia device. I thought about getting one of the quadcore phablets to use since some of them are pretty cheap but I don't plan on using cell service with it. I'm stuck on Verizon so this is purely a small(ish) wifi media device.
I've looked at Android-sale.com and pandawill.com and wanted to know if anybody else knew of any other good sites to order from. I've seen a lot of posts about the Goodphone i5 in the general threads and saw the Goophone i9 up on Android-sale that looked interesting.
Can anybody recommend me a good site/phablet to order from. Preferably want a site that uses paypal since I don't trust giving cc info out to one of these websites? Thanks for the help.

[Q] porting galaxy s4 rom to mt6589 devise

Dear Xda Developers,
I hold Mt6589 freelander phone. currently i have android 4.2.1 firmware. eventhough it has latest firmware it has less functionality than galaxy s2.
could some one help me to port galaxy s3 or s4 rom to my devise?
I would like to know that if porting rom will add any functions to my devise and if it would be beneficial.
also i am not a developer i could not make or prepare rom.
if you can prepare rom it would be great.

no. not possible. maybe you can get some of the samsung features with a lot of reverse engineering work, but thats a huge amount of work and nobody want´s to do that.

Jiayu G5 - Dual SIM Quad Core 1.2GHz, 4.5-inch HD IPS, 2GB RAM, 32 GB ROM

Hi! As you may have heard, Jiayu is joining the Chinese bandwagon and they will soon release their own iPhone 5-style mobile named Jiayu G5. It is rumored to have 4.5-inch HD (1280 x 720p) IPS screen (probably OGS and Gorilla Glass 2), quad core MT6589 1.2GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 13MP rear and 3MP front cameras, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. If these specs are indeed true, then Jiayu G5 would be the best iPhone 5-based Chinese phone today in my opinion, though it is slightly bigger. There is no exact date of release yet but many are anticipating its launch. What do you think of Jiayu G5?

I have this phone. Great phone with metal body (actualy stainless steel). Just correcting your write about OS version, this phone using Jelly Bean 4.2.1, and clock speed of CPU is 1.5GHz.

The newer version of the phone is named Jiayu G5S and it has upgraded specs like Octa-core MT6592 1.7GHz CPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. More specs here: http://www.chinaphonereview.com/jiayu-g5s

i do have the old version : 2013CP8320
I think i undestand why i can't unbrick this phone, The G5 do have an MT6589 and Smart Phone flash tool is asking my to load an MT6592 emmc scatter.
the problem is that i can't not use emmc for the MT6589.
i do have this error :
Chip type not match!
target chip is MT6592
load scatter chip type is MT6589.
Any idea to fix or change The target chip ?
