It's missing the water sensor but it looks real to me.
Most likely they aren't. Without touching them it's hard to tell (the fake ones have a plastic frame around the battery, easy to feel). In any case, don't let the Samsung stickers fool you - these aren't worth the paper they're printed on.

After dealing with this before I did a little research and found out how to tell. The label on a fake battery would be shiny on the inside if you peel it off. A real battery the label is the same dull silver color all the way through. A real samsung battery should also have where it was made written on the cell after you pull the label off. And last..usually a fake battery will be a different mah than what it says on the label. Input*#*#4636#*#* into the dialer click on battery info to check that out.

I went to Battery Info running CM10.1 and there is no state which tells us the mah of the battery, just the voltage. Also, stock battery if that makes any difference.
What was your voltage?
Edit..that was a brainfart! For some reason thought it did read as mah. My bad!

Experience buying batteries for both Skyrocket and i777.
I've actually disassembled the original and non-original batteries to know the difference.
And everything that isn't the original battery isn't produced by Samsung, and mostly isn't worth the price.
Pretty sure it's fake... kinda going through my own thing here with batteries too, they appear to be the reason my JellyBean update is failing with the Battery Disconnect message and I have to go back to ICS to get it to work again. Mine looks very similar to yours... I do not have the original to compare to, other than pictures of the official spare on Samsung's website http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EB-L1D7IBABSTD
Thinking it has something to do with the circuitry in the battery, possibly with the NFC stuff...
Pics of my batteries attached...
I don't know for sure if it's fake or not. I know for certain it's not the Skyrocket battery as that one has a specific model # which is EB-L1D7IBA.
Read the model #. It says the model is EB585157VK. According to this it's a Galaxy Beam battery but this says it's for the S2, S2 LTE, S2 T-Mobile, Skyrocket.. go figure..
What could be an indication of it being counterfeit is that there's no info at all about this model # on Samsung's site.
Some facts:
Skyrocket battery model #: EB-L1D7IBA. Replacement model #: EB585157VK.
Original serial #:NA1C1296S/4-B. Replacement serial: AAaD702AS/5-B.
Original Wh: 6.85. Replacement Wh: 6.48.
This replacement battery is noticeably thinner when you hold it in your hand.
I have two batteries like this from ebay and they went for $8 so i'm happy eitherway

I just took the red wrapper off of it and it fit snuggly
In terms of weight, does it change much? I'm thinking about picking up this battery if it's a drop-in replacement.
I just purchased, thanks.
Well, it's certainly cheap so might as well give it a try. I highly doubt it's even close to 1800mAh but hopefully it'll be more than 1300mAh and won't die after 50 cycles.
i wouldnt trust it since it from china, they been known to switch out label
Can you let us know what the battery life is like, compared to your normal battery, please? I am interested, but have heard too many tales of batteries that promise more but in fact deliver less. It would be great if this gave even 25% more over the standard battery!
Here's some independent testing that shows a lot of manufacturers claims aren't always that true:

thanks for the preview pic, on how to modify the battery. I purchased a battery for $5.98 USD! Cant wait to test it out.
Just curious but did you have your internet on the entire time you were doing the test run? I normally turn off my internet and activate it when needed, when I do that battery life for me is about 20 something hours, with mild usage (gaming and phone calling).
any more updates?
I just bought one. I will update you guys when i get it.
I ordered one. Wth for 8 bucks
From my permarooted overclocked HTC G2 with cyanogen 7 nightly via XDA app
I bought one from mugen site and it is awesome althought it is a little bit pricey but i think it worth. I charge it over night. Unplug it at 7 am and carry with me untill 10pm. My wireless was on the whole time. I have 3 email setup as default. Running sense ui so i believe there is some process running at the back ground. I only make about 30 min to 1 hour call. At 10 pm, i still have 35% life.

Well, too expensive
Just received mine. Removing the tab means it'll go into the space but it still won't fit quite right as the battery is slightly too thick for my cover to go back on.
I'll see if I can rectify this =/

Yeah, I've taken the entire thing apart (piecemealed it together) now and while the cover will fit it still bulges out because the battery itself is a tad too thick.
It was a cheap experiment though so I'm not choked. The lesson here is that Incredible/Evo batteries don't fit our phones =(

I got a 3500 mah, for $17 shipped. arrived in two days.
the battery and back case is hard to tell hoe thick from the pictures, I'm guessing its 1/4" thicker than stock. no additional protection to the camera lens over stock, other than the shelf the extended case provides. it feels heavier, bit easier to hold than with the tiny stock battery case.
the mt4gs is nearing end of life for development, so ill use it until its damaged, then upgrade .
charged well, and then started it up yesterday morning around 6am. I'm now at 29%, with almost 31hours of use. yes, the graph is wrong, as I plugged it in to transfer 15-20 pictures to the Mac for however long that takes. that USB port is 1.1, so if you really want to figure how much juice it received, figure about 3 minutes plugged in....
the majority of time the phone had wifi and 3g/edge on, with poor reception.
this is virtuous v 1.3 and Gmail, contacts, calendar and g+ photos syncing running at 1.3ghz, "on demand" throttling.
again, currently I'm at 29% after 31hours.
A link of the battery, Back cover if any and a picture of the battery itself is a must if you want to share the info here with us.
Posting a screenshot of your phone's battery graph only and not even having the right values you stated won't be of any use for us.
So please if you want to share something please make it as detailed as possible in a way we could appreciate it

can't make the screenshot right, but my information corrected it. updated first post with screenshots and direct amazon link.
OK, I'm at 3%, after 35 hours , with no attempts at conserving at all. I've shot video, surfed, txt, all normal operations. with some simple conservation, I could squeeze 2 days easily. 3 would mean using airplane mode, or edge. this will be great for motocamping.
I would never be able to have a battery that thick for my phone, but cheers for the battery life

Not much more to say, other than that these YESOO batteries are clear fakes. They've put 2600 mAh labels on 2050 mAh cells (as can be seen on the underlying cell itself).
I believe YESOO is re-using cells previously meant for the S3. In fact, if you Google that cell model number that I found under the sticker (SW-495060AR), you'll find a link back to a thread here on XDA where that same cell was used about a year ago in Hyperion S3 batteries: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29855218&postcount=116
(I would emphasize that in that case, the S3 Hyperion cell was being sold as a 2100mAh cell, so it was entirely appropriate)

I got mine on eBay. The seller is clearly trying to jazz these up as if they're something on par with Anker, ZeroLemon, etc. They call themselves a "YESOO AUTHORIZED DEALER". I've alerted ebay, disputed the sale, left negative feedback, all that good stuff.
The posting of this "shame thread" on XDA is perhaps a better way to prevent people from getting taken in the future though. That negative feedback will be buried in a few days, but at least now if someone googles "YESOO S4 battery" before they click "buy" on eBay, they'll be alerted to the scam.
Thanks for the heads up! Am looking for a replacement battery myself and I will definitely avoid Yesoo.
Lmfao thats some real detective work. Those greedy probably had a bunch of batteries lying around and just wrapped a new label on them. They couldn't even black out the orginal label. Even though im not looking for batteries, you definitely get a thanks from me.

Anyway just to let people know, I have recently purchased one of these yesoo batteries for a very reasonable price and it is currently performing a lot better than my original one ever did. Granted my original was one of the bad batch and after about 8 months began to swel and dramatically lose charge. Anyway just thought I'd let you know I've had 24 hours of use. About 9 of which were standyby and the rest had 48-55% screen on time.
P.s. I still have 26% charge left 25 after posting this lol.
Number 1 rule when buying from China is always expect less lol.
Hi Guys! I was looking around on Amazon for a extended battery coz my stock battery is draining so fast. When the battery percentage is between 18% or 15% sometimes it turns off immediately (without the samsung poweroff log). So I found this battery in Amazon (sorry the pic is from ebay) and I'm thinking of buying it. What do you think? Is it worth to buy or not?

Heck... I did not think it was really possible! 1 thing I would want to really know, is what kind on "Protection" is out for something like this? Knowing, that "IF" the battery is larger, you need a new back side (Battery Cover)! OK, Now, needing a new Battery cover, also means that any sort of Case will not work at all !!!! So, what is really out there for protection of the S5?
I will be checking into this! Yes, already have been looking into a newer battery. SO, guess I might as well look into this sort of thing.
Only concern, is Protection of the phone, after a new, larger , battery cover!!
Sounds like your battery is pretty old. What is it that you actually do with your phone? I would suggest just purchasing a new battery instead.. I just bought 2 new batteries on Ebay for under $17. You can also get a wall charge to keep them charged, and change out at least once a month..

Yes it comes with a new back cover and a phone case which is bulky. The only downside I think is it has no waterproof protection.

I was gonna get a similar case. My S5 battery is literally from day one release lol its not bloated or anything since I use Device Control to down tune the CPU and GPU (Kinda like apple does with iphones) but I don't mind more bulk for better battery. Easier to hold in my opinion
Где купить?
I have a 6600 mAh battery made by Tothl Technology, model EXTS5 that I have used in an S5 for a couple of years. It has worked pretty well. Due to its thickness, it came with a replacement back cover, and it does bulk the phone up a bit.
I've a power bear battery/case 6800mah or 7200mah. I works more like à 5500mah battery but It works like a charm .
The 4 or 5 first charges are a bit long. but really do the job.

Jeje, is because this battery is stored to many stuff. I don´t have my dead S4, only the battery, so it´s abandoned...
From what I can gather there are NO genuine Samsung logo batteries available, they are ALL fakes. The counterfieters read webpages like this to ensure their fake is mistaken for original because that's where the market is.

Well look at the attached screenshots in this post.
Her OEM Samsung battery for S5 is dated 2019.03.28. That's not too old & perfectly usable.
I also have a third-party S5 battery but they are not as durable as the OEM & their max capacity declines faster after a few months of daily usage AFAIK.

You have to look at the company
If they cell premium grade a cells than your good to go
In fact I bought my battery for 20$ offering 500 cycles
And 12month warranty if the product hasn't reached your satisfaction
And btw that battery i bought for my s5 was manufactured in 2020 in January
It has the same rectangle protruding like the stock one
Here is my 3rd party battery 20$ from a good company with warranty incase the product didn't work how it was advertised
