I made this app for quick Flash light on off for CM, OmniRom ... etc users
Credits to @davideddu96
I also modified CM Torch App: (Torch.apk) download it to toggle flashlight from status bar.
The Floating Flash Toggler is for taking photos and recording videos with flashlight on/off easily.
Thanks for your feedback and suggestions, I've rewritten most of the code but now the work is over.
Version 2.4 change log:
*. Added Arabic translation (by me).
*. Added Russian translation (by Vergilliy)
Version 2.3 change log: (Thanks to Vergilliy for his suggestions)
*. Auto hide the floating icon after leaving the camera.
*. Added an option to fix the floating icon.
*. Updated CREDITS.
Version 2.2 change log:
*. New settings category (Behavior) to control click, long click actions and when to show the floating icon.
*. Added an option to stop the ongoing notification.
Version 2.0 change log:
*. New name (Floating Flash Toggler).
*. New package name com.bassel.floatingflashtoggler(since I've rewritten it).
1. Reduced APK size.
2. Settings ui.
3. Start at boot option.
4. Auto start when a Camera starts.
5. Long click the icon to hide it.
6. Less battery consumption.
7. Fixed FCs related problems.
Just choose your Camera and enjoy.

if you can make or modify the cm torch app and change its setting so that it uses kernel instead of cmaerahal that would be awesome
in that way we can have toggle in status bar for flashlight
is it possible
I just used it .Works purrfectly @vickyg.coolest I respect your idea but this is simplier and more friendlier (user-friendly) .

Actually I didn't do anything "special". When I read about that file in sysfs I thought I could at least try...
However I will try your app
EDIT: you gave me an idea: I will try to make an app similar to yours, but not in Java, in Python...

No offence at all.
According to your post on TheWhisp's thread, you need to edit a file first to make it work but mine doesn't require any modifications.
And about CM Touch app, maybe I could modify it, just give me a link to it's source code.

Yes, it's possible, i will work with the pickup key, but not with the home button. I will make it for menu button. If it will working on my x8 i will add it for galaxy3 too. But there are a lot of new function what i can't make without the phone. E.g.: Center clock option in statusbar, ultra brightness function, a2sd option... I need a galaxy3 for these but i don't have. So if i can borrow this phone from my friend again, i will make it for you.

You can try this guide for the centre lock switch - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361715
It also has a guide for having the power switch at the bottom. That seems great!
BTW I don't use this phone anymore for personal use, so I am available for full testing!

elementaryUX
This is elementaryUX, a ROM that focuses on creating the best user experience for our phones, while mantaining a fancy look.
I always liked MIUI for its light UI, but MIUI's framework is too heavy for our computing power. So I took the best ICS ROM for our device and created my own ROM with light UI.
This ROM is based on Erikcas CM9.2 with the following additional features:
1.8
Full GPU rendering
[*]Fixed xposed installation permissions
[*]Removed network in-out arrow icons to save some CPU cycles on status-bar rendering
[*]New LowMemoryKiller configuration that drastically improves multitasking
1.7
New Adaptive Overclock feature
[*]Fully functional LowMemoryKiller from 3.4 kernel
[*]LZ4 compression for ZRam, kernel and ramdisk
[*]New xposed installation method (see "Tips" below)
[*]Greenify and MinMinGuard modules included
[*]Revised some UI elements
Hopefully fixed accelerometer (I don't own the device, I can't test this)
1.6
Fixed camera
[*]Fixed accelerometer
[*]Fixed multitouch
1.5
Keep maximum entropy with Haveged, frandom and erandom modules
[*]Fix Phone.apk FC when changing language
[*]Add Shuttle Music Player
[*]Update Touchpal X and MiFile Explorer
1.4
Implemented Dynamic cache pressure and writeback parameters
[*]Added a NoSweep version for whoever doesn't need Sweep2Wake, DoubleTap2Wake etc.
[*]Fixed in-call screen UI for the light themes
1.3
Consolidated Flat-style theming
[*]Improved multitasking
[*]Fixed speaker noise problem
1.2
Brightness slider inside the notification panel
[*]New light theme with desaturated green accents
[*]Revised Clair theme
[*]New system theme based on Gem Flat by xIC-MACIx
[*]Screen off Fade-out animation (turn off CRT animation if you want to see this)
[*]Global SwipeBack feature (swipe left from the right side of the action bar)
[*]Dynamic Overclock
[*]Customized Zeam launcher as default
[*]iOS7-styled statusbar
1.0
elementaryKernel Custom Version
[*]Fixed low in-call volume
[*]Fixed audio routing (thank Venkatesh for both of these fixes)
[*]Blackberry 10 lockscreen
[*]21-step media volume
[*]Dark and Light proprietary UI
[*]Fully LDPI resized
[*]Maximum PNG optimization of all the apps
[*]System clean-up
[*]iOS7 Ringtones/Notifications
[*]Touchpal X Keyboard with iOS7 theme (can be applied inside Touchpal settings)
[*]Insecure Superuser binary
[*]Xposed framework preinstalled
[*]CM11 bootanimation
[*]Custom framework animations
Click for screenshots
Click for downloads
What is Adaptive Overclock?
If the max frequency is higher then 600 MHz, the CPU will be allowed to use that frequency only in extreme cases, when it is actually needed. (e.g. gaming, surfing internet, heavy multitasking)
This feature works only with the Wheatley governor.
Do you think that USB Mass Storage doesn't work? Well you're wrong..
Go to Settings -> Storage, press Menu button, go to USB Computer Connection and tick Mass Storage.
Tips:
To use the Light UI go to Settings -> Themes and apply Elementary or Clair theme
[*]To install xposed framework:
Reboot
Open Terminal Emulator
Type su and press enter
Type xposed and press enter
Reboot
Open Xposed and configure your modules
[*]Use Greenify and its experimental features to maintain performance over time
[*]Use MinMinGuard Xposed module to get rid of ads
[*]If you use sd-ext, don't move Dalvik Cache or App Data to sd, it will slow down your phone (note: int2ext does this, better use 40a2sd script)
[*]A2SD flashable zip
[*]Don't use any Performance pack, mod, flashable zip whatsoever. What they mostly do is tweak the kernel values, which I already did before compiling the kernel

This looks nice, been messing with allot of the ROM's that have been added since my last visit over a year ago and it's great to see you guys are still supporting our Fit, thanks for all your time and effort guys.
I seem to having a few bugs with this ROM, camera is not working, the fonts seem a bit to small and blurred, setting to large looks better but then they are to large, screen sensitivity seems pretty bad as well, lots of inputs are not registered, also the gyro seems off, the orientation keeps changing to landscape when help in portrait, also the home screen launch bar icons look too small like they are using the wrong dpi.

Well the keyboard can be resized. Play with the settings and you'll see that it's the best keyboard for our low-ram device that still holds a very good prediction system. Even for Romanian.

You're right about the keyboard... Once you mess around with settings a bit it's very helpful.
I've tried installing third party camera apps but still doesn't help. I'm getting "camera is being used by another program". It's not a big issue anyway.

Ok, this is exactly what I expected. The xposed app_process returns an error because it can't find the XposedBridge, jar. That's how it's supposed to happen because that file appears only after the xposed apk is extracted inside the /data partition.
So at the second boot the app_process binary should find XposedBridge.jar and that's it.. xposed is installed automatically. Can you provide me a logcat of a second boot? Or whatever other boot instead of the first, where you didn't try to install the framework by pressing the Install/Update button.
BUG :Sensor Rotation locked, can't move ...
After every time I flash this rom (sweep version), the third reboot always gives me a bootloop.
I tested it without touching anything, just rebooting it thrice ends up in a bootloop. :/
I really liked this rom very much, no lag or glitches except for the aforementioned and rotation
Today, I ported Backlight Notification support to Pico.
Patch has been floating around for about 4 years, originally made by neldar and akent
What is Backlight Notification (BLN)?
It will make your softkeys blink when you recieve a notification (useful as a replacement for notification LED we don't have)
What you will need:
Users:
Flashable zip for CM11 RC1 (power button fix included, may work on other ROMs too)
You can use BLN Control app to toggle it BLN on/off.
Developers:
Kernel patch
Modified lights.c (device/htc/pico/liblight/lights.c)
You can use this in your kernel/ROM, but remember where you got it
Demo video (Youtube really knows to pick a preview frame...):
Enjoy
Finally!!! Thanks a lot man, and you prove your potential again

But xposed & gravity box not working in cm11 rc1
is it gonna work on sense 4 rom>>>????
RC1 zip - No, sense ROMs ramdisk differs much.
Ask ROM maintainer to recompile his kernel with this mod
Is it working on cm10?
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
CM11 RC1 - Yes.
Other 4.4.2 AOSP ROMs - maybe
All other ROMs - no.
You have to ask your ROM chef to add this feature.
Feature has been added in Cody Kernel.
Hey guys
This app is a result of me getting tired of some roms providing some features and some not.
So I created the PocketMode app in almost 6 hrs and it was my first android app.
This is the second iteration of the app and is completely revamped and greatly improved(I mean a lot....lot).
FEATURES:
1) Disables all enabled gestures and the fingerprint sensor while in pocket.
2) Full control of your phone's pocketmode service.
3) You won't see the fingerprint sensor getting unresponsive sometimes. Greatly improved the pocketmode part of the app.
4) You can toggle all the available gestures
5) Swap Home and Back Buttons
6) A little bit of theming
7) Starts automatically at boot, so you don't need to do anything except grant superuser rights.
8) HBM and sRGB modes included.
9) It works. 'nuf said !!
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Download the apk from the second post.
2) Install like normal app.
3) open it for first time and grant root access.
4) Then enjoy the great UI
NOTE:
1) It performs perfectly fine in presence of other conflicting apps, like the cyanogenmod/LOS shipped pocketmode app. But I would suggest if you find the performance better of this one, then either uninstall the other app or freeze it because of redundancies in the system.
2) Although I've tested this rigorously, still bugs may be found and you may report them here.
HUGE SHOUTOUT OUT TO YETI-DESIGNS for the 2 amazing icons on this app. @Yeti12

Thanks mate, works perfectly.
Only small cosmetic bug, the startup screen is to big, it does not show all the toggles. I can not scroll down. ( screenshot attached)
Thanks again for this fix.

Oops, sorry. Since I have a low DPI, all of it fits on my screen. Will look into it ASAP.
And you'll have to remove the mirror please.
Thanks.

You don't need to. The fingerprint sensor and pocket mode works flawlessly on OOS.
Great work man! Keep your nice work up !

Yeah the OOS pocketmode is perfect. But this does the job pretty well.
