Sony Xperia Tipo!
Hi guys. Today is a bad day. I have a problem with phone. When i am botting up its stuck in logo of sony.
I read all threads and i dont know what to do. I cant flash in flashmode, error in processHeader and aborted. + cant go to cwm.
But 15 min ago i rott my phone, unlock bootloader, install cwm and install custom rom with gaaps. but i flash also boot.img i dont not why because in instructions.
flash mode works. green led. help plz

I flashed it successfully, but when i turned on the green led blink 2 times. and dont turn on the phone. what to do?
try to flash again? make sure you are using the stock to flash...

where did you get the rom? maybe they provided a fix?

install flashtool
then install drivers for fastboot and flashmode from c:\flashtool\driver
then click on flashtool.exe
then select the flashmode option
then it will ask for ftf file
copy ftf file to c:\flashtool\frimware
then select that ftf file in flashtool
at last switch off yoour phone
press vol down key and then insert data cable
flashing will start.....................

first time
- power off the phone:
- hold vol+ and plug usb to boot into fastboot (blu led)
- fastboot flash boot boot.img (from cm10 zip)
- fastboot reboot
- enter recovery, on boot led will be violet for 3'', during this period press vol+
- flash rom zip
- flash gapps zip
- wipe
- reboot

after fast reboot i disconect device to go to recovery in cwm, but i shouldnt do that and i should waited for violet led and continue that,so my xperia miro st23i is now dead, is there any help with flashtool or similar things to revoke my phone, or i should rma it ? thank you very much ((((
Try repair using Pc Companion.
If dont work use flashtool,
Download and flash a firmware .ftf for Xperia st23.

in device manager it says semc flash device, seus update says hone has modified software and cannot be updated, flashtool 0.9.8 see device and it says device connected in flash mode, but when i click on flash it says error preparing files, and i did download ST23i_4_0_4_xperia.ftf, that its official firmware,. help

vol up gives adb mode, vol down gives flash mode, tryed flashboot boot boot.img, then flash reboot, nothing, tryed flashtool 0.9.9m stuck on reading device information, flashtool 0.6.8.0, says unpluged the device press and hold back button, it's xperia miro, back button is on touchscreen, help
SUCCESSFULLY FLASHED with flashtool by tutorial from that french forum, thank you, BUT, when i turn on phone it wont start green led blink once and nothing, i dont have locked bootloader maybe is that a problem?

did you use flashtool for reviving your phone???is it your phone is miro????please help me...my phone is dead now and i cant resurrect it...please help me...

i performed the method 2 from flasher official kernel.....you did perform that to revive your miro right???the problem is...i'm stucked in "reading device information" thing....did you also experienced it???should i be worrying about it??or is it normal.......any help please????please......i'm begging you and i'm stuck in this problem for a couple of days....any help and reply will be a great thing to me......

I've been looking around the forum and couldn't find a solution for my problem
I bought a Xperia L for my child and based on my experienced with my Nexus 4 I wanted to install a custom Rom.
the phone is free sim. I 'm allowed to free bootloacker it.
After enabling USB debbugging ON and installing the drivers with flashtool (vers 9.13 on win 7 64bit) I managed to boot in flash mode and unlock the bootloader via flashtool (thanks to the key provided by Sony) .
the phone rebooted with the Sony logo and those coloured lights.AND USB debbuging OFF !!!!
I've tried to flash a original sony ftf (in put into the firmware C2105_15.0.A.2.17_CE or C2105_15.3.A.1.14_CE file in flashtool) but no luck. it tells me that is preparing the files and then reboot into "device" (usual reboot)
After removing the battery I've rebooted in fastboot and somehow managed to flash the custom Rom (.img) from Phantom (I can see his logo when I turn the phone on). but that's it.
I'm somehow suspecting the USB debbuging OFF creating me issues and the SD card being blank to not help either.
I've installed the PC companion lately but it does not recognized it either...
I'm quite a newby and my goals are 1st to have it working again then to root it in order to install a custom ROM.
Any help or suggestion is welcome
Try removing battery for 2-3 minutes and se if that can get it to boot or at least get to recovery.

I'm in recovery mode now.
I'll look in the forum for a modus opererando from that point but again any additional suggestion/help is welcome

I'm in the recovery mode v5.0.3.5 by TZ (guess is the phanton owner)
My SD card is formated and I've copied the phanton.zip file. tried to install... no luck. also copied the sony factory file and still no luck.
the menu gives me different options but not sure what to do. will still look in the forum but no luck so far....
I have not rooted the device (and do not know what to do), still cannot flash the factory rom with flashtool (as described above) ...
Any help on where to start from the recovery mode?

I think that you are a little bit confused!Relax...
First of all...,ftf is stock rom and .img is kernel.
So,first u have to unlock the bootloader and then u have to flash stock rom again otherwise u'll get into bootloop.Then u have to flash a custom kernel with CWM (which u can find in Development sector or in Original Development sector) and then flash a custom ROM via CWM from Development sector...

thanks Kazabubu, I understand the steps you described and :
1) I have successfully unlock the bootloader
2) TRIED to flash the stock rom (ftf) (using flashtool, in flash mode ) but the phone was staying in "Preparing files for flashing" and then disconnecting
3) I think I managed to flash a custom kernel ( phanton) in fastboot mode
4) reboot in recovery mode
5) tried unsuccessfully to install a ROM (stock or custom) under recovery mode.
NOW... extremely strangely I left my phone connected to my PC and went to buy some stuffs... When I came back flashtool had flashed the stock rom... and it's working again.... do not ask me how... I have no idea.
I''ll leave it like that and will "only" try to root it as it is.
I'll close the thread and again thanks for you help guys!
Just flash a custom kernel first then boot into CWM and then flash a SuperSU.zip from the recovery.. It will directly root your phone..

Open flashtoot Dont connected your phone
click on the thunder logo..then flashmode the choose the file you want to flash..it will prepare the file..
After that it will prompt you to connect your phone
press vol.down and connect your phone!

its very easy my friend just download cm11 google for xperia l transfer it to ext sd card then go to recovery mod factory reset everything wipe cache and delvik too then install cm11 zip
I found the bug in my XL camera flash and tried to get rid of it by flashing phantom kernel ....... the kernel comes with twrp recovery .... that didnt work out as planned ... Now i want to change to stock firm ware with stock kernel ..... but i cant as i dont have or have any flashable stock rom in .zip format which twrp / cwm recovery uses....
!! PLEASE HELP !! :crying:
I tried to convert the ftf file to .zip format but that also didnt work out as i was getting error for page file while extracting the system.sin // even after trying 2048 , 8192 , 4096 page space........
Getting stuck is really annoying !!

First you have to download flashtool. Then download stock ftf. Then connect phone in flashmode to computer. And flash.

Turn the phone off, wait a couple of seconds, press and hold Volume down(-) button insert USB cable in your phone, congrats, u've entered Flash mode

Hmmm, i think it cant be replaced by TWRP cuz TWRP is recovery and Flash mode is similar to fastboot state.
U tried without touching power button ofc?

For me is the same stuff... I was using the PacRom 4.4.3 version. When it get the update for 4.4.4 I think make the update of my device in a clean installation, but I can't use the flashtool... Appears a message, and the flash of ftf file is interrupted...

To make clean instal simply format system, data and both caches in ur recovery, after that instal desired ROM and kernel of ur choice
Revert to Stock Solved !! !!
Hey Guys !!
i found the way to enter the flash mode state ! :-
Step Wise :-
1. Connect your XL to PC , start the Sus .
2. It will prompt you that a new firmware is available , download the new firmware version .
3. ready your phone for the software update.
4. when the sus downloads the update , connect your phone . When you connect your phone to the sus will prompt and send your phone to flash mode state.
5. Now start flash tool and prepare the file stock rom FTF file for flashing.
6. As soon as the files are ready , it will flash the stock rom to XL
DONE !!
Download the latest firmware and flash via flashtool. :fingers-crossed:

I downloaded th new ota update. aftr downloading it ask 2 install now. 1s I giv install now fone get restartd. whn fone s restartd it goes to twrp. I don't know what should I do??

You must install stock recovery for updating to Lollipop.
how will I install stock recovery

You have to download stock recovery from the link below

and use fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Change the name of the file you download to RECOVERY.IMG and keep it in the same folder in your PC / Laptop as where the FASTBOOT and ADB files are kept.
Then run the above command and you will have stock recovery.
I done so. flashed recovery.img file. now whn I update fone restart nd screen shows black screen with a mobile in it. a green progress line goes 4 a while nd another image comes in black screen with a mobile with red triangle exclamation mark in it. now th fone stops thr nd no more responses. help me pls.

When you get red triangle you must press POWER + VOLUME UP or POWER + VOLUME DOWN or POWER + Both VOLUME buttons and it will take you to recovery menu (STOCK RECOVERY)
sorry 2 mention it I done it. I reached till stock recovery. thr I can see reboot, install from sd card all those options. I don't know what 2 do thn aftr. pls help

INSTALL FROM SDCARD...
Then it should select the file and you should get the proper GREEN BAR on the right side and it should upgrade....
Also take a photo of the bootloader and put it here so that we know what version and HBOOT it is using....
I done th same it shows error sayin invalid operations. I'll upload those pictures here

Tried installing with fastboot but returned with error something like
"target reported max, download size 1826418688 bytes. Cannot load recovery.img"
Any suggestions?
try it again. the same thing happened to me but i flashed the stock recovery successfully on my third attempt.
hi guys, I got an maintenance update ystrday. m8sd indian. usin reliance cdma. same as th initial lollipop 5.0.2 update I'm gettin an error after th phone get restartd. tht green bar screen appears 4 abt 2 sec nd goes 2 tht red triangle screen. I tried th dalvik cache wipe nd all. I'm in stock recovery.
i have sony xperia t2 ultra dual i have flashed a pac man rom and gapps using twrp recovery
and after flashing when i clicked 'reboot system now " by device switched off and didnt started ,when i manually pressed and hold powerbutton nothing happend but when i pressed power + volume down button ,it vibrated and sony logo appeard but device again switched off and so on also i hve taken backup but i cant enter recovery cause it not indication green led and even when i tried to enter into recovery i didnt enterd in recovery when i conect it to charging red light blinks contiuesouly
then i tried flashtool when i conncted it to pc it shows that device conneted in flashmode and when i try to flash 5.1 ftf it shows preparing files or flashing and then it shows device dissconected and so on i think so this happened cause i have flashed wrong g apps but i m sured that rom was correct coz i downloaded it from link in xda thread but the link of g app wasnt working so i downloaded it from other resources
before also i encountered bootloop coz of custom rom but i fixed it because i was able to enter in recovery but this time i m not able to do so
pls someone help me pl
