boot.img is custom kernel.

must use stock kernel .
yes you can flash boot.img to get CWM and flash anything
then , you must flash stock kernel to make it bootable if not,

Install which rom? Over what? Have you installed cf-root or a cwm compatible kernel first?
You should read the flashing guides thoroughly before doing anything.

The recovery mode is the stock recovery? You need CWM and a rooted firmware to apply a custom rom.. Are you able to access download mode?

There are few stock ROMs in development thread which are flashable via twrp/cwm, you'll not gonna loose your recovery.

Just flash it via TWRP if that's more convenient for you.

I quoted just one question and i answered straight. Besides, your phone won't work perfect if it's bricked lol.
So yea, that question and that answer is sufficient for you to calm down and JUST FLASH IT. :good:
Hi Guys!
Today I'd like to share how you can flash those .zip files without a custom recovery!
All you need is the Flash Gordon APK: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250555
This can flash recoveries, its made for people who have a locked bootloader!
The app is still in it's early stages!
All Credit goes to Androguide.fr for making this awsome app.
THIS APP CANNOT FLASH ROMS!!!
I shared this a couple of months ago in themes & apps section and i have it pre installed in my AVD Rom
K No Problem just making the community aware that xperie e locked bootloader is not dead and can flash zip files!
Yea i was glad when i found it so J users could update my rom without downgrading to ICS every time. So i released update patches

Everything but ROMS!
As long as the update zips are not replacing to many framework & lib files at once.
keep in mind you need busybox installed
use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox
Could i flash cwm with this

without a recovery, no, trying to flash with Flash Gordon won't work out well because many system files will be replaced during the flash and that will force android to crash before the flashing has a chance to finish, resulting in a bootloop
Will I be able to flash CWM with this?

Did you unlock your bootloader??
Custom recoveries DO work with stock rom, provided that you install them correctly.

It should work if your bootloader is unlocked..
flash the .img file from kernel folder via fastboot...then press down button once when sees the lights during reboot.
then you can flash the kernel folder for working wifi..
