[i9003] [APP] TouchWiz 4 WORKING

HI guyz finally touch wiz 4 is working on our device. Previously it was not working in our device
In there, you will find severall added options:
For appdrawer:
-column count
-item count per page
-free sort mode / alphabetical sort
-enable/disable colored tiles
For Homescreen:
-enable Landscape mode (if you change from off to on -> needs a reboot to take effect)
-use big page indicator icons
-whether to show the App names
-uninstall apps from homescreen [on/off]
-page indicator icon fades off after swiping [on/off]
-amount of rows on homescreen
-screen count
-defaultscreen (starts at 0)
-amount of icons in dock (not tested with higher numbers then 5)
INSTRUCTIONS :
1. YOUR PHONE MUST BE ROOTED
2. USE ROOT EXPLORER AND MOUNT THE SYSTEM AS R/W.
3. PLACE THE TouchWiz30Launcher.APK IN SYSTEM/APP
4. NOW PLACE THE libglcanvas.so IN THE SYSTEM/LIB

1. Getting fc when you click on edit button

One thing you can mention is that user should install another launcher because if this one fails, only option left will be to reflash. With another launcher a person can replace original files (someone who is not much aware of adb)

dude it depends on you whether you like or not

tried on DDBK2 non deodexed and it works great...
Remove both apk and odex file from system/app and copy the touchwiz4.apk. It works great.
Some widgets are not working but i am copying over the new widgets..
is it possible to have sg2 lock screen? i know i am too demanding

How can i try the lockscreen?

you have to port that from galaxy s i9000.. it has already ported to i9000

Installing
You can install the EDT Tweaks app or you can push it to /system/app
You must push SystemUI.apk to /system/app
Bugs - any modifications to the icons will take a minute to update (signal bar toggle & battery icon toggle, just unplug/replug to toggle it, or it will show when percent goes down)

The other apk is to tweak status bar. It is not necessary.

i lost top status bar after replacing SystemUI.apk with the modded SystemUI.apk of status bar hack cant afford to restore apps nw as i have just restored 200 odd apps

It does work.. I tried it my self.. Piece if advice though, back up all the files that you are going to modify just incase something goes wrong.. And in my experience if yo replace something it automatically backs up a file with an extension of .bkp i think (using root explorer)..
Edit: based on my experience you have to reboot afer doing the mod

right after i pasted the systemUI.apk to system/app using root explorer, the phone just froze. After rebooting it, the statusbar just disappear

the background was black,so i cannot destinguish whether it was transparent.

my rom is Mini CM9 Touchwiz 5 UI Build #2。

Yeah, Maybe because of the ROM! It's a PORTED ROM and plus maybe this thing is related to framework-res.apk in the ROM. Try installing on stock Mini-CM9 lemme know if it works for you or not!
OR Try one thing just pull out the SystemUI.apk from the ZIP and paste it in /system/app ... rewrite the pre-existing one! and Set permissions to rwrr / 644
EDIT: Or Just gimme your SystemUI.apk I'll try to do this job for you! BUT no ETA's

@wsdyleon I'm unable to decompile your SystemUI.apk ... I need your other framework-res.apk's I guess there's another framework in Touchwiz ROMs So if you can provide I can do it

Excellent mod! Using it on vs980 combined with gravitybox+ xblast mods= awesomeness! Thx for sharing. Hopefully we can get a mod to blackout out settings?

Hi, guys.
You could update the background image yourself, and your phone should be rooted.
LGSystemUI.apk has been moved to /system/priv-app folder in kitkat.
1. Do a backup (full backup in recovery it recommended, at least LGSystemUI.apk itself) before your change the file.
2. Copy /system/priv-app/LGSystemUI.apk to your computer.
3. Extract the replacement images from Black.zip, files are in vrtheme\system\app\LGSystemUI.apk\res\drawable-xxhdpi .
4. Open LGSystemUI.apk with winrar/7zip, but do not extract it.
5. In winrar/7zip, navigate to \res\drawable-xxhdpi, drag replacement images into it, to replace stock ones.
6. I only replaced stat_sys_indi_bg.png , to make notification bar black in normal view (when not pulled down). It's enough for me, you could choose what you want.
7. Do zipalign at last, check this tool if you don't have sdk-tools http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1385846 .
8. Copy moded LGSystemUI.apk back to phone, maybe folder / first, after change owner/group to root/root, and permission to 644, then move to /system/priv-app to replace .
9. Reboot, your notification bar should be black.

it works Sir, I just got confused at first flash..
3. Install Zip From SD Card And Choose "StatusBar_No_Sim_Icon.zip." / "StatusBar_Default.zip"
so I did flash the two zips respectively. And nothing's changed after I reboot, after I realized that the second one is to get back the icon. :laugh:
