[Q] S5300 Custom ROM installation

Hello and thanks in advance for any answer.
I have the Galaxy Pocket S5300 with firmware XXLF5.
To increase performance and get rid of that crappy preinstalled apps, i wanted to install a custom ROM (well - tbh ANY custom ROM would do, but i just found that one below).
i refer to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31218395#post31218395 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1865053
The point is: i rooted my phone, i installed CWM, i can start CWM, i got the MAK-DROID zip on the card (same directory as the update.zip) - so that should be allright - but i cannot install it, because CWM keeps telling me, it fails mounting /sdcard.
i read somewhere else, that the new version of CWM can install custom ROMs from other locations but /sdcard, too, but the one provided in the second link seems to be an old one - and i am not experienced enough to just get a current CWM and modify it to fit the S5300.
Can anyone help me ?

Hi..first of all i would like to tell you that the cwm for galaxy pocket is still under development..as the restore and reboot is not working..so i recommend u not to flash any rom till we get a permanent cwm

And the new cwm's do have a option to flash/backup roms from extrenal sd..but they are for other modals..so stick to your cwm for pocket..it gonna be a touch recovery.

I introduce you Deiuma ROM 2.5,my first ROM for LG P690
It has:
Better Camera
Network Tweaks
Internet Tweaks
MIUI Music Player
Xperia Bootscreen
XPERIA Launcher
Xperia S transparent theme.
NOTES:
This .zip is not signed,so you have to disable signature verification (install zip>toggle signature verification) before flash it.
You have to install BusyBox to get all tweaks (the APK is included,just open it,click install and then reboot).

Try it and tell me your opinion

UPDATE​Fixed Camera Freeze
Adeed OTA Update App (does not work at the moment )
DOWNLOAD​If you have WiFi problems just flash this kernel.
Don't forget. Do a wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing this files

gone well.. but after installing.. mobile keeps on restarting every 5 minutes/. someone advice me what i shud ro for resq!

Did you flash a 4.2 kernel?.... If yes then try wiping everything and flash the ROM again...

If you flashed a 4.2 ROM over a 4.1 ROM you need to upgrade the kernel too
First download a 4.2 kernel
Then flash it through recovery
Then flash the Note 3 ROM

3g problem
Thank u for the great rom.
But i am facing a problem.
1. 3g is not working in both sim.
2. Wcdma seletion is not worki g properly.
Settings>mobile network settings> 3g service>network mode.> wcdma only is not working. (after reboot the settings change)

I have been using this Rom for 2weeks now . its actually great and stable few minor tweaks
Where the volume bar for music player was a bit off grid probably due to screen resolution
Values . this touchwiz rom was so good n smooth UNTILL I STARTED HAVING HEADACHES
so did my mom and my bro. Heavy headaches . PRobably the SAR VALUES are miscalculated i have no idea how SAR values work nor do i knw how custom ROM affects this values . i have flashed to my old STOCK ROM V3 for a110q. Guys its a request to check

Camera is not working
Its showing an error when i am installing it

I have tried to install this rom on my micromax a110 and now my phone is not booting at all. could not even go into recovery mode. Please help...

I downloaded the rom ,it started good but after i lock my screen after 1 to 2 minutes the screen flashes thrice & screen goes blank.Please help me out

Flash v1 stock rom then flash custom rom.. my problem sloved...!!!!

You have to reflash a custom rom if its not work then you have reflash a stock rom and it will be solved for sure

And i advice you to not flash the rom which is not for your device and if u want to flash that rom which is not for your device then you to proper edit update script in rom then it will work fine [emoji4]

Please somebody help me I saw the screen shots it was just fabulous, but after flashing it it's going again and again in bootloop .
I'm using 6.0.5.1 cwm I have download it several times and flashed but it's going in boot loop onlg .

1. Flash the rom again.
2. wipe cache /dalvik
3. flash canvas5 1.1 zip
4. flash rejoice kernel
5. enjoy the rom

Just flash bindassboost 4.2 kernel and these will start working....

Bro i have installed the ROM and kernel as well, It looks good. But i am facing below issues.
1. When i click on Brightness option in Settings, Settings app getting restarted.
2. When i connect to a Wifi, it shows as obtaining ip address but not connecting.
3. in home screen tray , always meeting profiles shows as selected.
4. in camera, it always shows front camera and i cannot change it to Rear camera.
Please assist me for the above issue bro. Thanks in Advance.
