Wireless Charge Mod! - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

Hey guys sorry if this is the wrong section just thought I would share the wireless charge mod. That I recently installed in my 2012 Altima! Works great through the Samsung Protective plus case.

Nice one.
But I'm not sure that this counts as a mod as it seems like all you did was to cut a hole and stick in the wireless charger.

IMO, if you put the time and effort into cutting a hole, it counts as a mod. More of a car mod, but a mod nonetheless. But this is just my opinion.

Can someone give me their thoughts on samsungs battery charger with stand and extra battery, i don't want to get the dock because it's to big and with the stand its very slim so I can slide in my pocket every where I go.

Blown external speaker

Has anyone blown their external speaker and had to replace it? Mine is barked and sounds terrible. Haven't opened it up to know if its connection is soldered in or just a plug connection. I have my wife's old sgs4g I can use for parts if I need.

It's a ribbon cable. Super easy to replace. Here's the ifixit teardown:

Cool. After I swap the speaker j may have a spare to donate to dev. Cracked screen and blown speaker, but runs otherwise! Lol

Is the screen cracked but you can still see it n use it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Correct. Its my wife's phone and she's getting an sg3 this week. I'm robbing the speaker from it, screen is cracked but fully functional, charging port is a bit loose so charging it might be an issue, but for someone with a bit of technical know- how I'm sure it could be repaired easily as well.

How does the wireless orb work?

This video shows the phone wasn't charging when it was unplugged
What's the point of having to plug in the wireless orb, isn't it supposed to be wireless
Just confused here

Not sure if serious.
It runs on 4 AA batteries. They charge the phone for an hour and then need to be changed.

Bluetooth integration kit in car

Has anyone used the fiscon, parrot, or other install kits out there? I saw some on bestbuy.com but don't really know what I'm looking at. I am looking to install this on my factory radio in an 07 gti. Anyone have any recommendations?

Been using Parrot I'm work trucks for years, never had any problems on my gs3 our other phones. The Mic could be better, sometimes it's not the easiest for people to hear you, but the Parrot in my truck has a booster in the cradle and have noticed a better signal with it especially in remote areas.
I bought the Gogroove smartmini aux off amazon. Plugs into my auxiliary port. I use it in my mini cooper and it works great. Much cheaper than a parrot.

This is pretty awesome. Is the music quality pretty good? The only part that gets me, is that it will constantly need to be recharged
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
The sound quality is great. Charging isn't a big deal since it comes with the usb cable and you can charge it while you're using it. I mainly got it cause I kept getting a feedback on my s3 with my aux cable. Figured adding bluetooth would be cool and it is.

Charging

As this SG3 ages, it's getting harder to charge. Im having to buy new cables as well as bend, twist, shimmy, shake & do other creative tricks to get it to charge. Does anyone have any tips, tricks or suggestions that may help?
Check Amazon for a qi wireless charger, and also get a qi wireless receiver for your s3. It's a flat card with contacts, you just lay it on top of your battery (making sure the contacts are lined up), put the cover back on and poof, you charge completely wirelessly
This is the charging pad I got (but there are less expensive ones): http://www.amazon.com/gp/other/aw/d...6lMu6WT3Yl7h3k9T/JvVKlsYqVKlSA/9k=&precache=1
Stupid Amazon links...Lol.. here is what the receivers look like: http://www.amazon.com/gp/other/aw/d...oQhAbNnqhGRvIIQgMg5JwFtyEIFQhCD//Z&precache=1

I love the koolpad (the 1st link). I have two of them and I haven't charged any other way since. I believe it charged equally as fast as when it's plugged in directly
