I recently flashed the latest version of CM10.1 by TheWhisp. Earlier i had inspiration Rom v13. I followed the correct procedure of flashing. Everything is working well leaving the known bugs. But i have a peculiar problem, Facebook notifications no more show up in the status bar for eg, if some one sent you a message you have to open facebook app to see that. I tried various fixes like clear cache ,clear data, re-install but to no avail. Is it a bug?
There is another problem. In jellyban there is offline voice recognition. But in our rom there is n option in the google voice settings? Any help?

Hello folks,
I currently run on the [ROM][NS][4.2.1]JellyShot v2.8 with Marmite 7.3. I find that the notifications for gmail, FB and FB messenger are not working even after multiple reflashes. The Sync toggle is set to on the the notification drawer. I tried clearing the cache and data of the all the three apps. I checked for their individual setting in each of the apps. But no progress.
Can anyone help me sort it out? Anybody having similar issues?
Cheers
I didn't use FB on JellyShot but I also had problems with Gmail notifications. They took very long to appear.
Try to Fix Permissions in your recovery, maybe it helps. I changed ROM so I didn't actually solve the problem in JellyShot.
Hi guys,
I have a huge problem with gmail - running current nightlies of Cyanogenmod 11 and the latest version of Gmail:
Gmail is not respecting any notification settings whatsoever. I have disabled every single vibration/sound notification in Gmail, have disabled "vibrate for every notification" in CM settings - but Gmail doesn't care: Every notification I get from Gmail not only rings a sound but the phone is also vibrating which is incredibly annoying. I have triple checked my settings, deleted app data, reinstalled gmail completely - nope, it's still vibrating. There is no other app with this problem - it is only gmail that vibrates like there is no tomorrow.
Anyone got an idea on how to fix this?

Yeah, I suspected as much - hoped that anyone got this problem and knew a fix without doing a wipe. I'll let you know how it works out.
Edit: Jup, that did the trick. Thanks again
Hi All,
Today I have installed the latest build of Sultan's 6.0 rom and all day I have been unable to receive hangouts notifications when the app isn't open and on my screen. When I open Hangouts, all my notifications and messages rush through at once. I have adjusted all notification settings that I can find, set hangouts to priority etc. etc. but nothing seems to work.
I have seen threads elsewhere from people with similar problems, but none of the suggested resolutions (setting clock time to network time; changing notification settings; turning off battery optimizations) have any effect. All other notifications work (i.e. gmail & sms). I started over, wiped everything and reflashed the rom and a different gapps in the hope that it might've been a flash issue, but still the problem persists.
Anything I might have missed?
Thanks a lot,
Max
I've noticed this with most of the nightlies. I'm trying to see if setting Hangouts as a priority will fix this.
Did you restore hangouts with Titanium Backup?
If yes, this is the reason.

Thanks but no, I haven't used Titanium backup for some time. It was a gapps package (stock and then later full) downloaded from opengapps.
Thanks again,
Max

In my experience setting Hangouts as a priority didn't change anything, but it's interesting to learn that there are issues with other nightlies. Do you mean other nightlies of different CM13 based roms? Or other nightlies from Sultan?
Thanks!

Hi,
after updating my HTC U11 to the official HTC Android Pie Europe release, so far the only real problem i found is, that for some reason the commute notification of google maps are now shown as a notification within a notification. Before the updated they worked fine. If you don´t know what that is supposed to mean, see here:
imgur.com/SQ27lSW
So far that only happens to the commute notifications. Pressing on either of the settings buttons only leads to the commute settings where i can disable the notification completly, which is not what i want.
Before the update it was only one notification with the map in a size where you could actually see something straight from the notification.
I already tried deactivating the function and activating it a few days later withouth any difference. I also tried clearing the cache and data, as it is set as a system app so that is the closest i could get to an uninstall.
As far as i know, i can´t really make a useful bug report through the app itself, as it is a notification i can hardyl make a screenshot of with the integrated bug report tool.
I also tried looking at the notification logs, but could´t see anything out of the ordinary with my simple knowledge of it: imgur.com/Fk9U0dk
After living with this "problem" for the last few months, I wanted to see if someone had the same problem and maybe found a solution in the mean time, which lead me here in the hope of finding such an answer
Thanks in advance for your help
Hi.
Last week I decided to reflash my U11, it's a Europe Pie version too, aka HTC__034. I had several bugs, with apps crashing like Google Assistant, the Dialer (unable to type a number or letter) and others. Flashing the RUU went fine and I got rid of those bugs, and even got better SOT than before (from 4 to 5 hours).
Reading your message, I just realized that I also got rid of another bug I had with the Google Phone dialer app. It also had such nested notifications when I received a call. Now it works fine.
So maybe flashing the RUU could solve your problem.
Hi kurtschmeichel,
thanks for the quick answer.
From what i read, flashing the RUU also clears all your data and settings, or did I get that wrong? As this is currently the only "problem" I have, I think I will not take this route as this entails a lot of reconfiguring.
Yes your phone will be "like new". You have to backup ALL your data before flashing a RUU.
I noticed that notifications pop-up not working with messages first, but it appeared that non of my apps including phone app have a notification pop-up.
Note that
*pop on screen option is enabled
*the issue appeared in 10.0.7 rom, then I made an update to open beta 17, the issue was there too.
*I enabled and disabled adaptive notification with no success.
*I cleared system cash and some app cash and data, nothing worked.
My device is OP7Pro.
Any idea why this is happening and could u provide me with working solution!
