Horrible multitouch - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey guys on stock atnt one x Rom, multi-touch seems really bad when using 3 or more fingers. Any solutions if I'm too lazy to root?
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app

Its not that it's bad, HTC implemented some custom gesture over 3+ by default on stock roms, just disable where it mentions 3 finger gestures in settings, don't quite remember where since I haven't used sense in ages

It's in Settings/Display.

multitouch is just as smooth as a single touch, what more could you possibly need to know?
I just want to know when the 2 points cross does it snap in to place or is it smooth

It is smooth - I can touch the two fingers together on the screen without my TF missing detection.
I used Yet Another MultiTouch Tester to validate the ability of touch and the risk of wrong detection.

[Q] Animations Option

Hi, I noticed settings>devotions>animations that I used to be able to play with these options, but now find myself unable to. The enable button is non functional. Why would it let me do this before, but not now? Running vanilla 1.85 unrooted, unmodified except a couple bloats disabled (only stuff like MOG and attNav).

It looks like that button can be toggled, but it can't.

Mine is clickable and on by default.

Uh, yeah. Have tried finding other options and things, it's just an inaccessible button for some reason, but it wasn't always like that.
Check in the display settings. You can disable it from there as well. If its disabled in the display settings you can't access it in the developer settings.

Multitasking on one x

Is there a rom that fixes the multitasking on the one x

Clean Rom

CleanROM. Use it.
Also CM9 and MIUI should to an extent, but they are not 100 percent just yet

Thanks ima have to try it

CleanROM for sure. It is probably the best Sense based ROM I've flashed on any phone. The dev is absolutely great at what he does and is incredibly active and responsive to people's questions/suggestions/request. Dude made me fall in love with my phone.

ICS screen lock animation

Any way to get the old TV style lock animation? Like on stock ICS
I'm using Bruce's jb ROM (would have posted in there but I have to have posted at least 10 times, and this is my first!)
I just think it looks really cool
Thank you!

Ignore, this, just read that cm9 has it, but not cm10 yet.
Well that is at least me up to two posts, hopefully...!

Right now Bruce is just focusing on getting the ROM to be stable first. After that, then little things like CRT animations could find their way in.
Yeah that's true. Can't be too much more till its stable now though I'm running the latest version and I'm yet to find any faults!

Sense keyboard aweful

Does anyone else notice how bad the sense keyboard is? The key detection is awful, there is delay on almost everything and it's plain ugly . Anybody have any recomendations?

I've actually always liked the Sense keyboard on this phone. To me, they got it right with Sense 4, where previous versions had awful keyboards. I don't have any problem with detection or lag.
I quite liked Swype on older Sense versions on my old Desire Z. Swiftkey seems pretty popular with XDA folks, also.
Sense keyboard got even better with jellybean. I find it faster than swiftkey. For some reason there is a slight lag to bring up swiftkey.
The thing that I hated most was the arrow keys, which they have fixed by giving us an option to have them on or not.

It works well, but I like the look of AOSP better, and the fact that it has quick reply
Lol, I stick with a sense based Rom mostly because I love the sense keyboard and arrows.. lol.. call me crazy I guess but for me there's a lot to like about sense.

Always hated the sense keyboard. Takes up half the screen!
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
They added the arrows in sense 4 so that when that stupid black menu bar pops up it covers up the arrows and doesn't move the keyboard up, that way we don't have to change the way we hold the phone when a menu button is required (that is, before they released the button remapping fix)

I was using thumb keyboard for months but got sick of some of its glitches. I used the HTC keyboard for a while and I really enjoyed it..first sense keyboard in 4 years that I've liked. Then I just installed the stock ICS keyboard and I'm super happy now
I was going to attach it to this post but I guess I can't from within the xda app...
