[Q] flash blink ??? - Sony Xperia L

guys i wanna know that whether continous usage of apps like flash blink(uses camera flash light as notififier for calls and sms)reduces the performance of flashlight / causes some damage to it ?

I think no,nothing wrong can happen.

no i don't think it can have any impact on the performance but it WILL take lot of battery juice which in turn can decrease performance of battery. and besides we do have notification light

I use flashlight with disco light on parties and it it's a lot of battery but be serious notification light is puted in the placed where you can easily see it and it's very strong light.
It does light up my whole room during the night.

Blink is ok, but don't have it turned on for longer than 30-40 mins, it might be overheated that way.

more battery life

I dont know whether this is not a good idea but for me its really working.Charge till 99% and then switch off.open out battery and in off mode plug in ur charger and u`ll see orange and black led blink continously..let it be about a hour and u gonna feel bit hot....but after that your battery life is truly 100%.wat i found on the web...red and green light blinking are coz battery temperature but not damaged ur hp.
For me more better than doing a battery calibration.
Note : This is just an opinion for all.I m not a developer but its came from my experience only.Tq

Icon / Wallpaper impact on battery life due to % of lit pixels

Hey has anyone ever contemplated the impact of how much white we have on our homescreens vs. battery live?
People are undervolting their CPUs by ~50mv to save power, but that's really only ~5% difference.
Looking at my logs, display accounts for over 70% of drain. So if we light up less pixels with a mega-black screen, shouldn't that account for more savings than any undervolting can?
you can adjust your colour settings in voodoo to make everything red. This will save battery on amoled.
I made such test on HTC Desire and record the current drained with Battery Monitor Widget.
Screening a fully black photo drain about 100mA
Screnning a fully white photo and setting the screen lighting at 50% drain about 300mA
It is very important to put in mind that the sceen is one of the major battery drain source.
Cool... I will try this as well. I didn't know that there was a program that'd report the actual current draw of the phone
I imagine that the differential will be larger for organic LED devices, since we don't need to keep a backlight on.
Time to rethink the types on icons on my home screen!

[Q] Can you disable the charging LED

I charge my phone with the dock on my bedside table. The LED being on all the time is annoying. I use light flow but it seems unable to control the charge state for the LED.
Anyone know if there is a way, short of rooting, to stop the battery LED.

I don't think there is way to disable charging LED,probably root will be able to
But for now,you can try to change the led colour to make it not that bright...

What do you mean? I've tried setting the brightness to minimum (and turning auto off) and it makes no difference. LED still shows while charging.
EDIT: Oh I see, you were being a wise-ass and suggesting I put the phone face down. Anyone got anything useful to contribute?
Kinda off topic but why the hell does the led turn green BEFORE its fully charged lol This is just so stupid because ive often seen the led turn green, and unplugged the charger thinking it was fully charged only to see it on 90+ %. Would be so much better if they just kept it orange and it does not turn green until it reaches 100!! Dont think you can turn it off either by the way but you can for notifications

I wrote about how I fixed this in the Z3C forum. Check it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55818000
Cool, thanks. That basically works.
I am using Light Flow and it seems that if you try to use absolute black (HEX Code FF000000) it doesn't work and the default charging colour overrides it.
If you use any other colour it does work so I set the charging and fully charged events to use HEX Code FF000001 (which is as good as black) and that works! It still uses the normal charging colours when the screen is on but that's not a problem.
I can finally have a dark bedroom while the phone is docked!
Can a mod mark the title with [Solved]. I think this would be helpful to a few people.

I agree 100% but that's the code in the AOSP. Cyanogenmod, slimroms etc all do it. It's just the corporate stock roms that don't, generally - this is the first one I've seen which does it.
I have absolutely no idea why it's not perfectly clear to everyone that you only want the led to go green when the charge level reaches 100%, so that you don't have to perform two checks to see if the battery is charged: one for the LED colour, and a second to see if the value is 100.

Anyone leave LED indicator on?

I don't know if turning LED indicator on does significantly affect battery life or not.
I really want to leave it on because it's really cool showing the red and green light while charging.
What do you mean by leaving it on? Leaving it on while charging or all the time?
If you leave it on while charging, it shouldn't affect battery life at all because you're charging the phone. If you're talking about all the time, then I'm not sure what the effect on battery would be.

When there's a notification while not charging, the light will flash as well.

This is standard. 99.9% of people out there leave their notification light on. The effect on battery is minimal.
I keep the LED light on. I don't notice it affecting my battery life.

Battery percentage fluctuation

Hi everyone,
So i noticed that sometimes my battery percentage will drop 2% at a time for example, its 80% and then suddenly 78% ?
Also one time it increased 1%, i thought i might be imagining stuff however i verified it in the battery chart ?
That battery drainage seems good and am getting anywhere from 4.5 sot to 6+ sot(if the mra bug doesnt hit which it usually does)
* i noticed that sometimes if i turn off the wifi from the drop down quick shortcut, then i check the wifi from the main settings i will find its still ON ! Again i also verified it will stay on from the battery chart if i dont turn it off manually from the main settings, so beware.
Hopefully sony will do thier homework with android M
As far as I'm aware Battery percentage is a calculation depending on the status of your phone. So it's not 100% accurate and can fluctuate

This happened to me too! I left the battery runs out completely and so far has not happened again! I'm noticing that this android is sucking the battery very fast, as well as in the Z2 and Sony fixed. But I think that Sony will not correct this in order to be out a new android.
my xperia z2 battery percentage is fluctuating from 100% to 39% then again it rises to 70% plz help me out in solving this problem
