I Found A Workaround To Find Purchased Apps - Android General

The current problem with the Google Play Store (app and web) is that you can't easily find your purchased apps. I happened to be messing around with URLs when I stumbled upon this....
This may not work for everyone depending on when you started using android, but here's how to do it:
1. Go to the Orders Page.
2. Look at the url. Add the following to the end of it:
"?purchaseFilter=apps&sort=1" (minus the quotes)
VIOLA! You have now reversed the order in which your orders are show. Now open all the paid apps you can in new tabs, then install them. Best to use a device you no longer have/use so be sure to enable it in settings.
When you can't load any more apps, remember the last NON-PAID app in the list. Now change "sort=1" to "sort=0". Now do the process again excluding the apps now added to the top of the list until you reach that non-paid app from before.
You now have ALL your paid apps at the top of your Orders page.
What do you think of this workaround?

Pretty cool, thank you
I'll never understand why that feature was removed from the app itself. It's unnerving to this day.

Thanks. I agree that they shouldn't have removed it.

Missing Market Apps

Hi all, I have read a lot about missing apps in the market, but it seams to me that there is an unusually high number missing from my rooted Kindle....
Could someone please confirm if the following apps are also missing from their market?
Be Weather
Weather Bug
Go Launcher EX
Dolphin Browser HD
Weight Watchers Mobile (the official app)
I see themes for a lot of these, but not the main apps.
Also, I tried the fix.apk file that I have used on my phone, but it didn't get me what I was hoping for. Thanks
Don't have a fire yet, but can confirm from a few other places that these were removed from the Amazon marketplace for the Fire. You can still sideload them though. Seems this was done a few days ago once everyone started posting that this was a way to get rid of the carousel.
I noticed that, too. There's obviously some sort of filtering going on.

Not on mine either. Perhaps since the Fire isn't one the "compatible" list they are not even available to download.

Thanks everyone sounds like the market is also very limited.

i have go launcher ex and dolphin hd running right now. I did sideload them, i just did it when i was sideloading all the google apps and such. You might do some apk searches on the web. Otherwise it may take a couple weeks for them to be available for the fire (widgetlocker has already updated for the fire, for example).
The Android Market does not contain all of the available apps. It only contains apps that are compatible for your device. So if you have a Kindle Fire it will only show you apps they are compatible with the KFire. That does not mean that you cannot sideload those apps from the Internet.
But, not all sideloaded apps work though.

When I first got my Kindle, I was able to download Go Launcher Ex from the App Store, then when I had a friend get it, it was gone. Ended up sideloading it, but yes, there appears to be a filter.
It really would be quite awesome if there was a way to override this filtering in the android market for those that are rooted. I would love to take my chances.
Google Voice App Receives, but no way to send texts
I read through all FOUR pages of the Kindle Fire forum but did not see anything about this.
I have successfully installed (side loaded) Google Market and Maps on a rooted Fire. I also installed Google Voice (all apk's from my EVO).
GV runs and displays incoming texts, but there is no way to write or send a text. When you click on a text conversation, it opens but there is no text box to write in.
Clicking menu does not give a "compose" option.
Since GV sends texts over the Internet, I am puzzled why this does not work.
I downloaded another texting app and that one does work, but it gives you yet another "phone" number, which just confuses my contacts (they dont know who is texting them).
Anyone got GV working?

Google Play App history

What do you think of Google Play's App history? There's no way of removing your app history, it logs every app you have ever installed.
At the moment, there are two tabs in the "My Apps" menu. One is "Installed" and the other one is "All". It seems like finding the apps you have previously bought (but not installed yet) isn't that easy anymore, either you use search or try to find them in the huge "All" list.
Just stupid.
Do I have to create another Google Account or what? Why can't Google allow us to remove our app history?
edit: Report the issue here to get Google's attention: http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=known_issues.cs&ki_topic=1319135
I agree. That sucks about the new Play Store. I was happy with the way it was before showing only installed and purchased apps. Most apps I've uninstalled because I didn't need them or they didn't work well, so why would I care about still having them in my apps list? Pretty ridiculous. I found it to be pointless in the Web Store itself, but now it's just a pain scrolling through that list of unnecessary apps on my phone trying to find one I actually need. Not to mention everytime you tap on an app and go back to the list, it jumps to the top and I have to scroll all the way again. There should be an option to purge/remove apps that you don't want in the history list.

Maybe if enough of us complain, they'll change it
Watching this app history on my google play account on the pc I was wondering why there are apps listed I used a very long time before.
Well, google needs the history for stats but why saving it for so long?
I am strained when the first apps will remove from the history.

I find this very annoying as well.
There is no need to keep a list of our previously installed apps.
Some apps i just install just to see what it is and have no interest in it after a while.
If this continues then i will probably have the a whole list of apps in the google play store in my history.
yes it's really boring, i just changed my cellphone and i have all all all the history from 2y of download it's hard to filter the one that i wanna keep and the others...
Anoying you cant choose to remove apps
I complained to Google about this the day 3.5.15 was released. I also started a Google code entry on this just now. Would be great if all that are concerned would head over there and star it!

Good idea!! I really hate this "memory".
I agree, I have starred and commented the google code page.
I remember reading somewhere that this app history might affect play store download counts and that's why Google haven't changed it. I sure hope the do something about it though!
I was searching for a way to "fix" or filter my ALL list and see that im not alone, uber retarded "feature".
/sigh
oh well i starred & commented on the issue, thanks.

In this link Google Play support /googleplay/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=known_issues.cs&ki_topic=1319135
We can "Report this" on Deleting apps from My Apps/My Orders in Know issues
The more people who do, most will be taken into account
The more we push, the more they'll hear
Took a while for them to allow you to delete credit cards from your account, but maybe they'll get around to fixing this eventually.

The very new Google Play is a joke by its name. It's not you using Google to play, but Google plays with us. Starting with restricted countries to use its services and its "we-add-search-use-it-and-be-thankful" search and ending with such in-account irritating stuffs like the above mentioned.
So: Play with Google but remember it's Google who plays with you.
I don't think all your reports are able to change anything. They need it for some purposes, I don't think it's just their mistake or lack of foresight.
I wish there was some way to filter through it, or make groupings of applications.

New Google Play store lost an important feature

I don't know about anyone else here, but I used to use the feature where under My Apps there used to be a sub section for "Purchased Apps". Now I format my phone and tablet often and I used that feature a lot but it has been removed. Honestly I purchase so many apps I have forgotten what some of them were!!! If you agree and would like this feature returned contact google and tell them. If enough people do im sure they will return the feature. Activity on this thread may help as well because if there is enough supporters I may be able to forward the thread to google and show them we really want this important feature returned. I don't understand why it was removed in the first place. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Slide to the right, 'All Apps', has your purchased apps included.
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk 2
I understand that but when you have multiple devices on one gmail (phone, tablet, tv for me) that menu list builds up fast. I shouldn't have to scroll until I see a "purchased" and then decide whether or not i want that app, and then keep scrolling til i see another "purchased". It seems like a downgrade to remove the purchased apps category and it was something i used often.
Sent from my MB855 using XDA
I miss that feature too. But in order to find a workaround, in the bottom of the Page there's a link to "My Orders and Devices" which shows all your orders in a list instead of the usual google play style, so that it's a lot easier to see the purchased apps. I still want to get rid off the free installed apps, but at least I see the purchased ones clearer.

[Q] Google Play Store issue

Does anyone know where I can access (or see a list of) apps I've already paid for?
I've been flashing ROMs on my device heaps lately, and I've lost track of what apps I've already paid for.

Open play stores.. Go to my apps from options.. Then a list will load.. Now Swype your screen to the left.. You'll get a list of all install apps from the beginning of you using the phone..

Hi,
This isn't quite what I'm looking for, because this lists ALL apps.
I just want a list of apps that I've paid for that are yet to be installed.
This was available in previous Google Store apps, where if you swipe left once it gives you list of all free apps you installed, and if you swipe left once more, it gives you a list of all the apps you've paid for whether they are installed or not.
For some strange reason they got rid of this valuable function. Now I've got no idea what apps I've paid for.
Automatic transaction restore
All transactions you did through the Play Store are kept by Google and when you reinstall the app after a wipe the app should automatically reinstate your license.
You should not be able to pay twice for the same app, unless the developer uses in-app billing with multiple product codes.
I had to wipe my phone completely clean last week and it automatically reloaded all my apps, including the ones I paid for and all was fine.
I hope this was helpful.

How to remove installed app from market

I am rooted and familiar somewhat with TB . I have a hide my text app from the market which works well and even hides the icon, but it still shows up under the market as installed. I tried destroying market link but no luck.
Anyone know what I can do here?

Try uninstalling it via the Play Store instead of doing it directly via the phone.

I don't really understand exactly what you're trying to do, but what I think you're saying is that even though you've uninstalled the app it's still showing that you have installed it in the past, so you want to remove your history of having installed it?
Try going to the Play Store, then click the upper left icon to bring up the side view, then go to 'My apps.' Once there to to the 'all' tab and search for the app you want removed from your installation history and press the x on the right side.
Thanks guys... But sorry I wasn't clear. I want to keep the app, it was free, but not have it show up on the play store as being installed

I think I did what you said in your original post. If you go into Titanium Backup and then click on the app you want to hide, then go to the special features tab, then under "play store/market" click detach from market. The first time I tried it it actually didn't work... So I tried rebooting the phone and it still showed up, however, after going back to Titanium backup and toggling between attach and detaching from the play store/market it seemed to work. Try messing around with it a little more and see if it works.
EDIT: My mistake, it still is showing up in the all tab of google play, but not the installed tab... I'll keep messing with it.
Alright, guys (@Jaeryl, @Josh McGrath), here's my recommendation.
Instead of using Titanium, try copying the actual .apk of the text editor app from /data/app to the external sdcard. Then, go into Google Play on your PC and completely delete that text editing app. Refresh your device so that the app is also removed from there.
All you have to do now is go back to where you copied the .apk, install it, and voilá - your app is effectively eliminated from the Play Store, but is also still installed, just like you wanted.

I was actually about to suggest this... if you can't figure out how to do is you can always uninstall the app then just download an apk of the app online. I read that if you install it as an apk it won't be associated with the play store and thus won't show up.

That's exactly right.
See, Google Play can't and doesn't detect every app on your system, just the ones that came from the store itself that are being synced to all your devices. Think about it this way - a Nook Touch device uses the Barnes and Noble bookstore, and when you buy a book from the bookstore, B&N remembers it anr syncs it to all of the devices hooked up to your account.
However, if you download a PDF or ePub book from the Internet and sideload it onto your Nook, B&N doesn't know or care about it - all they care about is the products you purchase from them. And this means that that sideloaded book will not appear on your B&N account, nor will it be synced to your other devices.
Hopefully that little analogy helps you understand it a bit better.

From Google Play store, tap and hold on the app you seeing as installed, you will see remove or delete option there. Remove it, so you would never see that app again in installed list.
