My external speaker on this phone is really quite. Is there a way to boost the volume for all apps?

I use Volume+ (available in Play Store). I set the Speaker volume boost to +14, bass boost +2. Any higher than that you'll get really bad distortion, but at that setting it is quite loud.

Coming from the htc inspire I remember all the kernels had audio boost included. The right now the voodoo amp does a good job increasing music volume through my headphones, but I want to increase call volume through my headphones. Call volume seems to be very low. The currently running:
Infused 2.1.0
Infusion 1.1 kernel

Try listening to quieter music
Not really a helpful answer though, perhaps try another headset.

Is it possible to bump up the media volume when using the built in speaker? The highest setting is a bit too soft for listening to voice recordings.
Thanks.

You can do it if you root and run voodoo sound. Voodoo sound lets you change the amplifier level and the headphone output level.

In my opinion Volume+ boost is the best app for sound boost
Just try
SuperCurio's Voodoo LOUDER app made for GNote. Boost done at hardware level for cleanest sound possible. The best volume booster out there hands down.
Audioboost sgs2 best by note

+1 to Voodoo Louder. I use it with poweramp and teh synergistic effect it yields is just WOW.
It's like, if u have NOTE, u should have this Voodoo Louder.
spectrum analyzer effect?
Do we even have equalizer/spectrum analyzer effect app like EQu from elephantcandy app? I'm more interested in the spectrum effect.. would be cool if playing in the car.

Does this help you to increase the speaker volume?
If it does, how is your config and if it doesnt, what are you using to increase your speaker volume?
It can increase the volume, the playback control section has a gain feature, and that can increase volume.
