Twitter timeline - General Questions and Answers

As I believe this is more an app problem than a device specific problem, I didn't post this in the Nexus 10 forum.
Following problem: I use the official up to date Twitter app on the Nexus 10 (4.3, not rooted). Normally I check my timeline once a day in the afternoon. When I refresh the timeline when opening the app it never seems to load all the tweets, there is a gap (attached a picture). It shows e.g. the tweets for the last 5-7 hours, but then nothing till about the day before when I checked for the last time. I don't follow a massive amounts of people, so it's not like there would be thousands of tweets.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

[Q] Facebook 2.2 on Mango (Lumia 800) receives delayed notifications

Hello,
I know that there have been more threads about this issue, but as last one dates of mid-december and didn't conclude anything I thought of bringing the talk about this issue back.
For those who don't know, my story: I just got a new Nokia Lumia 800 (v.7.10.7740) and everything works great. I get almost instant (lags behind an iPhone, but still...) email push notifications. Windows Live (I think) is also instant. But the official Facebook application fails to do this.
Instead, I get the notifications delayed by 2-5 minutes every time. I've tried hard and soft resets, reinstalls, and every single possible scenario I could imagine and it didn't help. 'Likes', mentions, tags, messages, everything shows almost instantly on my iPhone but literally takes several minutes to pop on the WP7 device.
Of course this means that I can't have a conversation with someone who is offline from the chat (if online, the built-in Messages application does the job). I can't either keep up with long threads on someone's wall, et cetera. It's not an acceptable or trivial issue.
So the thing is, does anyone know any fix for this? Do we have any official stance from Microsoft or Facebook on the issue? Is this an all-device issue or only happens to some users? May be network-dependent? Maybe an issue with the MPNSs?
Anyway, sorry for the wall of text .
There's minimum time limit in Push-Notifications to be updated by Application in Windows Phone. May be that's delaying. I didn't have any delays
This won't help one iota, but I've found that once I started using the built-in Facebook features in the OS, I have virtually zero need for the official app. Maybe if they updated it a bit more to reflect the service's full set of capabilities, but until then the built in features are sufficient, better, and beautiful in their integration.

Specific calendar requirements

Hi all,
Lots of threads on calendars out there but none address what I'm after.
Very specifically, I want an app/widget that allows me to show the next 7 days of my calendar graphically (note, next seven days not current week like some do) on my homescreen. I want it to be large enough that I can easily read the events on each day without having to click anything. It must not have any creepy permissions like some calendars I've looked at.
It seems so simple to me but none of the calendar things I've looked at so far let me do this!
The aCalendar widget comes close but the writing within each day is too small to read and it does current week not next seven days (ie if you are at the end of the week it shows the six previous days which is not useful!). The default calendar widget is pretty slick but it only shows the agenda as text, I can't just look and instantly see that a certain event is x amount of days from now. I've tried lots of others too but either they can't do what I want or I just haven't figured out how.
Yep so let me know if there is anything you might think will suit me. I don't mind paying if its reeeally good.
Thanks in advance.

A few questions about blank page issue when browsing with Chrome

Watch the youtube video below and read the description.
[moto g] blank page when browsing with chrome: http://youtu.be/boTjYNHQwpo
Anyone else affected with this issue? Is there any workaround that doesn't involve using alternative browsers?
Please share your wisdom, mates.

It has happened on mine a few times. I've found that doing a "Force Stop" on the Chrome process (through "Apps" in the main Android settings screen) fixes it and you retain the same open tabs when you re-open it. It's not an ideal solution, but it works.
I did some googling on this a week or so ago when I first noticed it (my phone is relatively new) and it seems this problem has been sporadic with other devices over the past couple years. My phone downloaded a new version of Chrome a day or so ago, but I haven't used Chrome enough since then to know whether or not the new update fixed it or not.
I have the same problem but what i do to fix this is to remove chrome from the recent app list and then launch it again, when it opens it works again maybe the application its too large or to demanding for a gig of ram
This problem only starts after their update a few weeks ago. The update the other day didn't fixed it.

App Bug Alert badge error

Just a while ago, i viewed all my alerts then exited for a while. When i opened xda app again i was surprised to see 10 alerts when i did not receive any new notifications. The list is updated but the count is still at 10.
When in website view, the menu shows 2 alerts (but it's only one). Opening the alert page shows 10 again.
Maybe clearing the cache could fix it?

Hello, thanks for pointing this out. This was a one-time event and shouldn't happen again.
