Is there any forum section/category here on XDA Developers for ROMS?

Thank you very much but is there any thread that contains ROMS and after installing it can I get back to the real OS?

Try to flash the roms first...
If you find any bugs then just report it to the rom dev...
Corect me if I'm wrong, but every custom rom has its own plus n minus due to its system by itself..
If you don't want to had any bugs then you shouldn't flash any...

I dont think so its a correct way. U have to do all settings in ur phone from scratch.
Simple solution is just flash deodexed flashable zip file over current theme. It will replace all themed file to stock without disturbing anything on phone
P.S. - Its already posted in forum many times. Please search before post
Don't mean to contradict u vishal...i acknowledge your experience but i have flashed stock over deodexed with no complications....

There is nothing contradictory buddy Dont worry. I wanted to say that when u flash stock rom then u loose all ur mods, scripts, kernel etc. So for that u have to do all procedures to get those mods, kernels etc by flashing via pc odin or by using recovery mode flashing zip files etc which is very lengthy & time consuming process.
Got it vishal...didn't know that...thanks a lot

If you're on macbook, then instead of odin you should use heimdall. Its a cross platform flashing tool, easily available.
Please search option to read how to flash via heimdall, and also for the link to download it.

Yeah, this ^
Doky73's thread has GT-S5360 firmware available to download and he has a guide there to help you flash it. Odin is the best, and safest, way to go back to stock.

1.I dnt have internet in my pc,do I need internet for rooting.
2.if I rooted and installed any ics rom,is dat possible to download apps for ics like nova launcher, chrome browser directly from playstore.

Hi and welcome to the Galaxy SL Forum, if you want to root update first to Gingerbread, try searching 'General Guide for i9003 Noob'
And for your questions:
1. No, you don't need internet, you only need it when you download ROMs, tweaks and CF-Root.
2. For downloading ICS apps on Froyo, no you can't . You can run ICS apps if you install custom ROMs that based on CM9 or CM10
Good luck with the phone mate

He didnt say he wanted ICS apps on froyo. He was asking if he would be able to download ICS apps straight from Play Store if he installed a ICS/+ custom rom. The answer is yes.

Yes. My procedure to go to ICS or JB based CROM is
1) flash xxkpe as per guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787 .. download ROM file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647
2) flash ddlf2 per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1741370
3) Use CF-Root to root ddlf2 per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331253
4) Flash ICS or JB ROM of your choice, ONLY AFTER READING THE PARTICULAR THREAD
I'd still prefer you do more searching and reading before attempting something that you dont understand completely.

I'll answer your PM here.
As per what I read here, it is advised (by people's experience) that it's better to flash xxkpe(using ODIN) 1st then to a gingerbread valuepack firmware(i used ddlf2) of your choice, then to root it. Then flash any ICS/JB ROM of your choice.
Also, you need to understand you'll lose everything on your phone when you flash xxkpe using odin. Also, once rooted, you'll be unable to use Kies to restore your data. So, before attempting all this, make sure you backup everything that you'll regret losing.

there are many youtube tutorials and you can easily search for them and choose what is best for you but the thing you need to know about is that for upgrading your firmware from froyo to gingerbread you dont need rooting.. you can do it officially by downloading Samsung Kies or by following the simple steps from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1894737
Now after upgrading to gingerbread you can root your phone by following the simple steps using the link as above.
its okay to get confused the first time but follow the amazing simple steps from the above link and it should be just fine

I would start reading some posts in the development forum, and other specific topics on the various steps you will need to take. But...
First you will need to install a custom recovery, like clockwork mod(cwm) or twrp.
Second, you will need to find a ROM specific to your device, making sure to check your model number and only installing a ROM if it is intended for your devices model.
Third, flash the rom .zip in the previously installed recovery.
That's really all you need to do, but you should read how to take those steps in the threads for them and your device.
