Check the notes on GooIM site, the latest Gapps are for 4.3 only
The ones you mention from the 12th seem like they should work on 4.2.2

Op's name change
From this Saturday, November 24, I give to @Pretoriano80 my OPs which concern the TF700.
I will change my device for the Nexus7 3G or Nexus10 ... or maybe both.
That's why I asked to Pretoriano80 to replace me and continue the updates of the posts, and mostly because its contributions on xda and the TF700 are relevant.
Good luck @Pretoriano80

Thx mate, i don't think i will exchange my device soon so i will continue to be pretty active on this forums.I will do my best to keep this thread updated,at least with the most important stuff.Good luck to you too with your new device/s.
Just curious why the newest kernel download is in rar format and the others are in zip format. I am not sure what to do with the rar file, i never have used them much. Do i extract it and install whats inside in recovery or fastboot? Or is the download wrong and its supposed to be a zip file?

lol, no doubt. So i take it that means there is not a flashable version of the newest kernel?

Oh thank god.
Thank you so much for the 9.x.x.30 update. Damn near impossible to find nowadays!
Some of the links in the first post don't work.
Seeing that ASUS does not have links to ICS firmware in their website anymore, I found this after some careful googling:

This is apparently the repo for all firmware versions including:

Pretoriano80 could you please reup version ww 26 and 30 . the links are dead. thanks
I need to downgrade my TF700T US SKU to ICS but the links are no longer valid anywhere.
The link here is good but as a noob I have no idea what the right file for the stock ROM ICS
for the US SKU. Can anyone tell me what files I need to downgrade and root this pad?

US_epaduser_VER104425UpdateLauncher.zip MD5?
Anyone know what is the MD5 for firmware downloaded directly off the Asus site? I got their US_epaduser_VER104425UpdateLauncher.zip and I want to check the MD5 and have checker, but Asus doesn't publish this info in their download section.
************************************************************************************************************
Update: Couldn't wait for feedback. Downloaded a second copy and they match MD5s. MD5 is: 89E2C46D2DB043C9DA09F98AD087D677 for US_epaduser_VER104425UpdateLauncher.zip
I don't see md5 sum check numbers on the old firmware. Like the V9.4.5.30. US SKU.
Is it possible to get a md5 on this file?

CROMi Kernel Add-on, that5 and TF300T

This was ment for the "[ROM]★●[TF300T/G/L/201/301][CROMi-X 5.0.4][ODEX/DEODEX 10.6.1.27.1][SEP 30]●★" development thread, but since I just registered I'm not allowed to post there.
In short: Request to user sbdags to add the _that5 kernel for the TF300T to the CROMi-X Add On, currently that kernel is only for the TF700T.
The new CROMi-X 5.0.4 now allows the installation of the _that5 kernel (full name: _that 10.6.1.14.8 Over Clocked Modded Stock Kernel v5) to the TF300T. It works fine on mine, but now I want to switch fsync off. The fastest way is using the CROMi-X Add Ons which is a tool to switch the kernel or change the settings (posting #2 of the tread). Version 5.01 however only includes the _that5 kernel for the TF700T. Will there be an update of the add-on so the _that5 kernel is available for the other tablets so the choices are in sync with CROMi-X 5.0.4 again? Currently only the _that4 kernel is listed for the TF300T.
I hope sbdags sees this and updates the add on.

question about twrp and downgrade

Hello all !
Well is the history of my tf300t:
4.1 (stock) OTA to 4.21 (stock), (once had a crash so need to reinstall from sd card (still 4.2.1).)
i have enough with the latency of the tablet ! so i have decided to install cyanogen mod 10 (stable), but the problem is it's a 4.1 and i'm on 4.2.1.
In addition i use twrp 2.5, i was thinking to update to 2.6 but on the install note these 3 versions :
*.-ics - on the 4.0 official software.
*.-jb - if you have official 4.1 software.
*.-4.2 for the official Asus 4.2 update
If you choose the wrong file you may brick your tablet.
right now i'm on 4.2.1 so by logic i need to use the *.-4.2 file but if i want to use cwm 10 (4.1) the twrp will be compatible ? or i need to change version ?
thanks for helping ....

[Q] Looking to root Asus MeMO pad FHD 10 M302C, old topics have broken links, ideas?

So, I was here trying to get started, but the mediafire link isnt available anymore (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568724)
I have an Asus MeMo pad fhd 10 ME302C that I'm looking to root.
It's on Android 4.2.2
Build number/firmware is 4.7.3 (US)
Is there a more up to date root guide I can follow with my current android version/firmware?
Thanks so much, new to rooting.

Here all my experience of Custom ROMs on the Ace 2 (I8160)

What do you mean? I just follow the instruction on which custom rom i'll going to install, If you mean like the newer LineageOS 15.1 by SergeyL or Chrono just follow bien2004 instruction LOS15.1 thread on how to install it (it also works with LOS 13/14.1 SergeyL)
So far I've understood that you need to have a custom recovery to install any custom ROM, I might be in a false assumption.
That is the reason why I tried to install TWRP but failed in first attempt see

The only way is to install TWRP is using Chrono Kernel which came with TWRP Recovery after installing it.
And the TWRP you trying to install is old which bricks most user.Chrono kernel works with Stock 4.1.2 so no worry:fingers-crossed:
I'm sorry but I have to ask again, I don't like to make the above described journey again .
I'm now on 2.3.6. Shall I now flash Chrono Kernel what installes proper TWRP otherwise I don't understand

Chrono Kernel is only work on 4.1.2+, and what I meant by is the kernel itself have an inbuilt TWRP Recovery. You should update your device to jelly bean first before doing this.
the hopefully final question in this matter

Shall I do OTA update or flashing the image as downloading the image from hosting pages takes ages.

Just use Odin it's much easier, if things go wrong you can just flash back to stock (without re downloading it again). Here the links https://updato.com/firmware-archive...xact=1&r=&v=Jelly+Bean(Android+4.1.2)&rpp=100 (better than SamMobile since you need to be premium user to download the older ones and also faster download speed) or you can go here http://www.xda.mister-freeze.eu/XDA-files/ace2nutzer/GT-I8160/Stock_ROM/ (this from a2n server, choose the I8160XXMB4).
I can't find the topic for LOS 14.1 erased ?
