Hey guys,
I read a little about changing csc, but I ordered a Note in germany, but I got a french device. What I don't understand is:
Is the csc device or firmware dependant? Means: If I flash a german firmware will the csc change or do I still have to use csc changer or somethin like that?
edit: nevermind, I think the firmware was multi csc, after choosing german, the firmware shows as XXUCMA8, so everythings fine
CSC is essentially a list of local network settings often not required if you set the APN settings .

Hi
I want to update my csc since I've done some stuff to my phone and changed it; now I don't have my original csc. I can't find a specific csc for my device (n900w8) and I'm wondering if it's OK to use a csc of my region even if it's not for my device.
Regards!
Hi!
I bought a G930FD unit out of my country (dual sim version is not available here).
Then I activated Samsung Pay and I faced a weird situation: the app is totally in my language, but the offers and promotions sections are all in english and contain just US offers.
Samsung support told me I won't be able to get offers and promos from my country because of my foreign CSC.
The question: What's the best option to set the CSC of my country and have less change of problems with my device? My current CSC is XSG. I would like to set it to ZTO.

I got the zip with the rom content. Inside the package, I see many files (AP, BL, CP, CSC and HOME CSC). Shall I flash them all to change the CSC?

Hello Everybody ,
Just received an S8+ bought from Amazon.it
I placed my Cosmote Greek SIM before turning the phone on for first time.
The phone has OXM multi CSC firmware installed but for my bad luck , the COS CSC code for my network (Cosmote) is not listed.
Current active CSC code according to phone info app is EUR.
I need to install the ODX multi CSC code firmware which has the COS CSC file for Cosmote.
The reason for changing the CSC from EUR to COS is to enable wifi calling supported from Cosmote network.
Is there any guide to do it without involving root?
Thank you.
Perhaps this thread will help you. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-v1-0-0-t3605264
Thanks for your reply but it does not fit in my case.
I do not want to root my phone and the thread mentioned requires root access.
using odin, version pre-oreo.
would it be possible?
yes, make sure you use a CSC package consistent with the firmware currently on your phone.

well i noticed that the csc notation doesn't change if the CSC file used during the flashing process is of an area bundled in the same multicsc firmware (ex, OXM, dbt to xfe)
to force a csc change it is necessary to flash first a non multicsc firmweare, then the multicsc with a simcard of the country you want the csc to be set to

Good info, thank you.
Hi, im unable to change firmware on my samsung galaxy note 20 ultra. Currently its UAE. I have downloaded srilanka firmware, successfully flashed it using odin. But when the phone is started it showes still on UAE. Kindly help or guide me on this issue.
Is UAE the firmware version or the CSC?
If it's the firmware version it's strange you can flash and get success then go back to the older firmware but if it's CSC then it's understandable.
You may need to look up how to change your CSC version, there are guides on here...
Flashing an OXM rom won't change your CSC but the firmware version will change.

For people who can't switch between csc in the same mult csc pack. OXM multi csc pack contains all the european generic and network branded firmware (csc) so if You are at XSG (part of OXM multi pack), and flash it with SLK (part of OXM multi pack) the XSG will stay. What you need to do is to flash it with different multi csc pack (just see what packs are available for your model), try to flash Brazil CSC ZTO, which is part of multi pack OWO. then flash it back with OXM multi pack, and it should switch to some generic csc, then if you instert your sim card it should ask you if you want to customize your phone to the inserted sim card and it will change your csc to the one you want.
Can't change the CSC of XSG
