Hey guys,
So I was trying to flash Cyanogenmod 10.1 to my HTC One X and something went horribly wrong. Now my phone has no rom in the SD card and I never got to the point of making a nandroid backup. The phone boots up and is stuck in the "this build is for development purposes only" mode but I can get into the bootloader by holding down power+volume keys. I have TWRP recovery installed. I was wondering what I can do to restore my phone into normal working mode. I have Hanson2000's all in one kit as well. I really appreciate your help (and please let me know what information you need).
Thanks!
Did you factory reset in bootloader? If you did that has corrupted your sd card and you'll need to format it in Windows.

Sorry to keep asking questions, what would I put on it after I mount it?
Once it's formatted, copy a ROM onto it so you can flash it. If you're s-on, and have the most recent hboot, you need to manually flash the boot.img after flashing the ROM, that might be why cm didn't boot for you.

I manually flashed the boot.img and also mounted the CM zip. The install still keeps failing. I did a factory reset, did a wipe of cache and Dalvik cache, and then tried the install. This is the error I get:
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "endeavoru" || getprop
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/cm10.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/cm10.zip'

I am trying to put the latest stable release of CM for HTC One X. Can you provide me the right link for it?
You don't have the One X, you have the One XL (codename Evita). This is the link for our device:

Hi,
I decided today I wanted to get back to stock ICS on my Transformer. After looking around I saw that all I had to do was download the file from Asus' website and flash it in recovery. I downloaded the V9.2.1.24(WW) zip file (Yes I'm sure the WW file is for me as I bought the tablet in Australia) and then extracted that to get the WW_epad-user-9.2.1.24 inside. I placed this on the root of my MicroSD card and rebooted into recovery (Rogue XM Recovery 1.5.0). I wiped cache, dalvik cache and all user data before choosing to install the 9.2.1.24 zip file. It looked fine at first until an error came up:
Code:
Installing update...
assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/blob", "staging")
E: Error in /sdcard/WW_epad-user-9.2.1.24.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I don't know what's wrong so I'm wondering if someone could help me out here?
Thanks.
I had that error once on my phone and i resolved it by flashing another recovery. So you could try that but if you want to flash it from your pc you can use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683311

Wow, that worked. Thanks!
Im trying to flash the superlite rom by vincom but every time i try to flash it throws out an error.
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") ==
getprop("ro.product.device") == "skyrocket"
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(status 7)
*verifying filesystems...
*verifying partition sizes...
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/superlite_cm10_jb_v
Injecting TWRP into boot image...
TWRP injection complete
It says the flash is successful but the phone doesn't boot after flash. I have checked the md5 of the ROM, wiped everything, basically followed all the instruction in vincoms post to the letter but no dice. I'm on rogers.
Error 7 is assert protection it's seeing your phone model is different from the phone model in the updater script of the rom meaning either A. Turn off assert checks or B. Do you own a skyrocket and not a 989?

How do I go about turning off assert checks? My phone model is SGH-I727R so yes, skyrocket
Also, could the problem be that I am using twrp 2.1.2? Im not sure how to flash 2.2.0 onto my system, google searches are unreliable and installing via goomanager does not work for me

I have never used TWRP but you should be able to flash the newer version in recovery just as you would to update CWM.

So it fails even when you try to wipe, that's interesting (also means my assumption was wrong).

I am having the same issue
hboot1.14.0002
radio 0.19as.32.09.11_2
I am unlocked/tampered but S-on.
I thought I made a back up of CleanRom5 when I first put it on the phone, but alas I find that I didnt.
So I am between roms with s-on. Is there a way to achieve S-off with. I can still get into bootloader, and recovery.

boot to bootloader fastboot flash a 2.3 version of twrp i use 2.3.3.0 boot to recovery mount usb transfer rom to phone flash rom be sure to fastboot flash boot.img reboot
This seems to be a bug with 2.4.x.x versions of TWRP. If you downgrade to an old version, it should be OK, from what I've read.

I installed 2.3.3.0 and the factory reset still failed..?
errors given were E:unable to mount '/sdcard'
did you factory reset from bootloader if so you have corrupted your sd card there is a fix let me find it
I did this and this is what Xsmagical and I did to fix it.
Take the stock android recovery from a ruu or stock Rom. (I used the one from 1.85 ruu but it doesn't matter.)
Fastboot flash the stock recovery to your phone and then reboot into bootloader where you originally wiped.
Factory reset from hboot and then Fastboot flash twrp again, mount sd should be available now. Mount sd, copy whatever Rom onto sd card and flash from there.
Freaked me out too man
this is not my post copy and paste
Thanks brother anyone else this may help

Download TWRP 2.3.3.1 Check md5
boot to bootloader/fastboot
fastboot flash recovery twrp2.3.3.1filename.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
select recovery
Wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, factory reset
flash rom
if S-ON with hboot 1.14 or higher > extract boot.img from the rom zip then fastboot flash boot boot.img
2.4+ has issues. use 2.3.3.1 You would also get failed if you have zip file signature verification or force md5 on all zips checked when flashing so leave those unchecked.

I'm using TWRP v2.6.3.0, I've tried Factory Reset and Advanced Wipe (Ticking off Dalvik Cache, data, System, cache). Then I go to install a rom, it gives me an error. I currently don't have another camera to show the error. I'll write what I see in the terminal:
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error executing updater binary in zip'/extern(not sure what's after this, it doesn't show).
Error flashing zip '/extermal_sd/cm-11-20131222-
Updating partition details...
And that's it, I don't know how to fix it. I've tried everything.
I'm using i727r by the way, not the AT&T version.
