Sweet! Can't wait to get some good custom kernels again. JB is a huge step up in performance on the One X over ICS, but we all know there is room for improvement.
omfg finally! i thought they'd never release it
Did anyone grab that Telstra source? Because it's been taken down...
A little faster than the first time... Not too bad

Yeah I've got it
I guess I shouldn't be surprised source came out before AT&T's update, but .... no, I'm not surprised.
Finally! can't wait for custom kernels
So is this legit? I didn't see any Kernel source on there for AT&T but I guess that's to be expected, the other XL Kernel Sources should suffice just as well for us AT&T users, right?

Right, gotcha. I guess what I meant to ask was: would there effectively be any difference in the Rogers/Telus Kernel released today and the AT&T Kernel released at a future date (hopefully)?

Now we'll be able to get permanent /system write too, right?
But won't help with getting S-OFF for hboot 1.14 users?
We already have permanent system write
No kernel source has nothing to do with s-off just allows custom kernels for jb sense roms and h8rift will probably be able to figure out touchscreen issues in cm10 for 3.17 hoxl owners

Didn't capture any log, the strange thing is I flash Sense roms just fine and 4.2.2 AOSP.... but 4.1.2 AOSP, not matter what rom, will not boot, I wanted to simply try AOKP 4.1.2 stable, but heck I have tried several, none of them boot, a 4.2.2 JellyBam version will boot, and CM10.1 will boot but bugs bugged me in CM10.1 and JellyBam I did not like to much, I might try AOKP 4.2 Android.... but I know the risk that it is not stable, I am a stable freak lol
Re: AOSP based Roms will not boot
On that Rom you may try clockwork recovery as its now for hoxl as well, I remember now some people saying twrp didn't work just on that Rom

Do you recommend which CWM? there is several different ones, like user custom ones and such, and I'm sure its easy to go back to TWRP for any reason correct? simply flash the recovery.img in fastboot? if you do recommend a certain CWM can you link me to it? thank you, if it fails I will give up, I have ViperXL looking AOSP looking anyways, SenseCream theme, Nova Launcher, changed status bar to true black in System UI, with AOSP status bar icons.
One of the main reasons I want to try AOKP is because of the Awesomebeats MOD, but if I can't get it to work then I can't get it to work :/
Other people seem to be using TWRP though, sorry I am rambling now lol
Re: AOSP based Roms will not boot
Twrp up until recently was only recommended , I use twrp as well , there is a clockwork designed for our phones now so you will need to search on there thread

I tried clockworkmod recovery, same issue is happening, the only thing I can even think of is HBOOT 1.09 problem? I don't see how though, its like they should put for all 4.1.2 roms in there thread, works for everyone except viper4713 haha, guess I'm staying with ViperXL, its doing good anyways, I just wanted to play with AOKP, but I guess I can't unless I try the new 4.2.2 beta possibly, idk just forget it lol
I recall reading about someone else having this same issue a little while back. If I recall, that poster RUU'd and then had no more issues.

No, you read it wrong, I meant what a bunch of garbage as if if that was the case then that would suck, not your info is garbage  chill
If that were the case that would be garbage, S-OFF would be nothing but trouble, even on S-ON I had this issue though as well, its as if I don't have an evita or something, its as if I have an evitagoo or some **** lol

Re: AOSP based Roms will not boot
It is poo apparently, my phone doesn't like 4.1.2 AOSP, so it's total evitapoo, I'm gonna try HBOOT 1.14 tomorrow possibly and see if that's it, I downgraded to 1.09 using the customize your own HBOOT thing, so idk, I can't think of anything else that could be causing this ****, 4.2.2 android looks cool but people are reporting a lot of bugs with the custom roms right now

I too notice some general bugginess on all roms and battery draining. I also flashed a customized 1.09 HBOOT. Could be an underlying cause. I want to try flashing everything back as close to stock as possible and then throwing on an AOSP rom (I'm avoiding RUU as it bricked my phone last time), then I'll see if there's any difference. If I notice a difference, I'll post it up. Maybe tonight I'll flash so by tomorrow or Friday I should have a post up about my findings.
Maybe as a last resort, try running the 3.18 ruu? Just remember to downgrade your touchscreen firmware afterward.
I was having some weird (but different) issues with my phone, and fully updating to 3.18 fixed it.
Why is it that i cant flash cm 10.1 along with some other roms on my Hox 2.14 hboot s-off but i can flash cm 10.2 and carbon rom 4.2.2
I don't know. More details will be necessary for us to help you.
