Wow new TouchPal version! Downloading now!
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda premium
so far the best keyboard i have ever used!
the accuracy of the swiping interpretation is great, the smoothness and the feeling when typing (not swiping) is excellent.
as suggestions i could say
1) it may sound old fashioned, but i am used to have te number "0" in a centered position under the 8 and just for convenience reasons i think it could be better to change the positions between the emoji and the 0 (or give users the opportunity to do so)
2) sometimes the suggestions that pop up when using wave are hidden by my own thumb maybe if they were a little (just a little) bit bigger, it could be easier for us to find it (OR maybe you could give us the opportunitt to choose the size of the popups)
3)themes themes themes xD maybe we can contribute with our own skins
i know i am not a skilled developer myself, so i dont know if this is hard, or unpractical, but i think this suggestions can help and if there is anything else that i can do, let me know... i really LOVE this new keyboard..!! finally after some years i find a "Swype keyboard" killer..!!
ps... forgive me if i made a typing mistake... i am from venezuela
i also cheated a little bit... hope you dont get angry... but i wanted to have this keyboard in Spanish so i downloaded the normal touchpal and the spanish dictionary,
then i downloaded the touchpal wave
then using a file explorer, i went to the languages folder of the original touchpal and copied the spanish dictionary and pasted it inside the languages folder on the touchpal waze folder
The swyping, and the wave functions work like a charm..! so maybe yoy could also expand the beta for foreign languages since yoy have a very solid app..!
Aqui esta la prueba del perfecto funcionamiento por ahora de las funciones del teclado mientras uso el diccionario en español
(this was a random message...it says here is the proof of the perfect performance so far of the keyboard's features while using the spanish dictionary)
once again congratulations and greetings from Venezuela..!!

Thanks a lot for the great suggestions.
You can try the new Beta(V5.4.5) instead of Wave Beta now. The new beta has more languages supported and huge improvements.
https://plus.google.com/communities/105746648636072214666
Wow i am impressed! you made it available for foreign languages and the option of swiping up for emoji makes the numeric keyboard layout much better!
thanks a lot no bugs to report and no suggestions i can think of beside the ones already suggested congratulations for this soon to be perfect keyboard..
i still stick yo suggestions 2 and 3 hehe
you should consider to port it to iOS and make it available on cydia... it is mucj better than the buggy "octopus keyboard" and the unaccurate and buggy "swype" implementations maybe this is hard, but the octopus keyboard is crappy, expensive and still very succesful amongst iphone jailbreak community
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Thanks! Have only been using it for a short time and it's very easy to switch from Swiftkey. The predictions are not as good, but it's not that big of a deal. Hopefully it'll get better as I continue typing on it. Also, thank you for having emojis and customization of skin!
Edit: Emojis are a little wacky though. The emoji that comes up doesn't correspond with their picture. Sometimes it will be a picture smiley and sometimes it shows up as a typed in smiley. Sometimes it looks like the emoji on the keyboard, other times it's something different. This isn't really a deal breaker, since I don't use them just thought I'd comment on it when trying out all the features.

Thanks but I am already using it as I didn't want to wait and I must say I like it a lot is Fast and predictive.
What I'd like to ask: can we create own themes and if yes how do we do?
And one thing I saw in German keyboard: you added the "ß" Button which is normally mapped to the "s" button as well.
And last of there will be a paid version of the app

Need more faster way to delete whole word or sentence. Holding the delete button and see its deleting letter by letter is a pain in the arse.
Probably by flicking on delete button?
You can swipe left from the button to delete the whole word.

As a Touchpal user this is some great news!
Sounds good I've been using Swype beta for the last 18 months or so - sliding to type is definitely the way froward on a virtual keyboard, but Swype has its limitations, especially the latest beta. Also bought SlidIt some time back, but found it was really inaccurate.
So from TouchPal, I'd be looking for accurate prediction (I type 50-50 between English and Spanish, and Swype renders "Hola" as Hilda, has difficulty with "OK"...), easy language switching, custom language dictionary (per language), easy navigation between letters, numbers and symbols.
I'm also fascinated by the idea of contextual prediction, and only sliding half a long word.
Can't wait to try out the new beta! This is some good news
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I really love SwiftKey (which is my main keyboard btw), and also love Swype.
I find myself hanging between those two from time to time, and always thought that someone should create a keyboard like Swype with the predictions from SwiftKey.
Then I came across this thread and was like, WOW! This is exactly what I was waiting for...
Looks like you read my mind...
I can't wait to try it, and maybe (probably) ditch Swype and SwiftKey for good, and have only one keyboard installed.
I wish to see simultaneous dual language modes just like SwiftKey does, and it's flawless, combined with sliding from Swype.
Maybe learning from Facebook, Gmail, Twitter and SMSes, that would be the ultimate keyboard for me.

Yeah I'm just using the Sense keyboard with HTC trace for now, used to use swype but I don't really like how the keyboard looks.
Slideit is nice and has a lot of good options but it is slow as hell, looking forward to something new.
First and foremost a resizing option for the keyboard would be cool, liked that on slideit

Holo Wikipedia is a Wikipedia app built for Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean from the ground up. The app has a split action bar and useful functionality like easy sharing, search, language selection, full tablet support, favourite article and alot of useful settings like font size customization and volume scrolling. Holo Wikipedia can open links that are pressed in the browser so you'll be sure you're always using the app without even having to open it. The app is built with performence in mind without compromising with the features. The app compleatly free and there is no "Pro" version so all features are there right from the start.
Currently working on: Adding NFC features to enable article sharing

Changing the settings does not affect the color of the text and the background so that's not whats being changed. The action bar is the only thing that's chaging color. Can you send me a screenshot with the Holo Blue theme activated and I'll see if you're using the theme.
here is the screenshot with holoblue selected and after a restart of the program...looks like default to me.

Probably not, pretty much the entire app would have to be rewritten in order to give it a action bar on Gingerbread devices and I have no experience doing so from earlier.

That's really weird, it's only one line of code really and there isn't any other way to do it. I tested it on my friends devices and everything worked great there. Are you possible using a theme chooser theme that overrides the normal themes?
A update has been released to Google Play, here is the changelog:
New version, 3.4!
Added support for NFC article sharing, some testing yet to be done but everything should be working fine.
Added support for Text To Speech, you can activate it in Settings-> Interface -> Use TTS. In order for Text To Speech to start you need togo to ->Menu -> Text To Speech.
Attempted to fix the desktop version on Galaxy Nexus bug, please send me feedback if it's still there.

• Cropping similar to Super Keyboard would be nice, as my background image gets a bit stretched.
• More transparency for keys would be fancy.
• Annnd last but not least when I'm typing in my email, the keyboard freaks out and makes a bunch of random words.
Hope to see these issues addressed, I'm in need of a better keyboard and I see great potential here, you just may have a future buyer!

I'm having problems with smiley key. I Camry reach the right side of the box no matter what... I would like to see something like SlideIT have. I meant when I use a custom image, the cropping won't let me fit my full image in the keyboard or it gets stretched a bit, but when I use the same kind of function on "Super Keyboard Pro", the cropping and custom image work much better.
Hope that made sense.

Sems like the SWYPE input doesn't work on Galaxy Ace, any chance to fix it?
Not bad, not bad
Hi, warm welcome for this new one...
I am strongly testing it against Swype...... that is (was?) my winner, it eats a lot of memory I guess....
A few marks:
- the secondary functions of a key (eg. "?") are not hardly visible, with some themes they are almost not even visible
- I use special chars (áéöü etc.) and I have to get used to getting back to é being just e, so not right next to L and so on
Really this much for now...
what I will focus on: (compared to my experience with swype)
- how it learns
- how much memory it eats up
Keep the good work up and Happy Holidays
:good:
Nice. Loving it already. Swiping working on my Samsung Galaxy SL.
Swift key lags after learning lot of words in my opinion. Let's see how this fares.
i like it, the only missing thing, is the swipe on with space (without needing to release the touch) like swiftkey flow beta.
Can someone tell my why the Kii keyboard is closing after i type the first letter?
Language: German
Smartphone:Atrix 4G
Android: 2.3.6
edit : its caused because of the gesture mode. If disabled it works flawless.
Testing right now. It's pretty smooth. Maybe swiping feels a bit slow. And keyboard hides automatically randomly.

I don't trust developers who put out the same app under different names. Something is sketchy. This launcher has been in the market as GT, Freeflow, Solo, Limelight, and iDavinchi

I don't trust developers who put out the same app under different names. Something is sketchy. This launcher has been in the market as GT, Freeflow, Solo, Limelight, and iDavinchi

Hell yeah, welcome back
Welcome back. This is a long coming bro. I really hope this one will stay. Good luck.
The best keyboard I have ever used. Really missed it.
@kiideveloper, I just downloaded the update and the shortcut text still shows on the left instead of in the center of the suggestion bar.

Thanks for coming back..
Five row split here..
Wishing the outline could maybe be thicker?
Maybe the keys a little fatter..
Nougat, nexus 6
I hope you can add Malay language so I can ditch SwiftKey later.

Thanks! That seems to have solved the problem.
Thanks for your suggestions. The default material theme has larger key spacing. For now, you can try a non-material theme or designer theme. We will make the key spacing smaller in a future update.

Is there a way to sync the personal dictionary with other device? I use a lot of personal words in NY language and its a lot of Hassel to not have them on another device or after clean installs of the ROM.

Using the keyboard right now and one thing I notice is the touch are a bit small are they related to DPI ? I'm at 400 DPI right now on cm based ROM

They are synced with your google account on your phone and should be available on all devices.

Small
That's the fault of arrow row

Yes, enabling the bottom row arrows makes the top row of numbers too small.
