[Help needed] CM 10.1 A8 by Dhiru can't autosync google accounts [SOLVED] - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Hi everybody.
I've got an issue. I'm in CM10.1 a8 by @dhiru1602 with the official gapps, and can't set my google accounts (two of them) to autosync. The mails and the contacts modifications are sync'ed only on manual requests.
There is some way to enable it?
I've attached some screenshots where the problem can be seen.
If there is any log i can see/attach to track this problem, please tell me.
Thank you!

do a factory reset and flash only gapps again... this should solve your problem

Sorry @mustafahussain, but I think that a factory reset is my last resource. I've got too many apps that can't be restored with only Titanium backup. I've got too many settings, too many tweaks, etc. If I can, i'll try to avoid it. Thank you, anyway.
Another option?
Please, be careful with the solutions you provide @mustafahussain, that shouldn't resolve anything, only force me to lost some data. Don't take it wrong.
After some research i just found the solution:
Code:
i think i can help you.
go to system settings >> data usage >> menu button >> auto-sync data
now your sync wheels will get green (i hope)

@Drizzt_Kueh
You should have found that other solution before doing a factory reset.Dont ever point me to be careful, its you who should be careful enough to know what you are dealing with.Factory reset will erase your data is a known fact to everyone so dont pretend that you lost data just because of what you said, you knew this will erase your data and you yourself said that its your last option if its a full wipe then why did you do it,should have looked for a alternative before factory wipe.We are here to help not to hear some criticising comments.

I was trying to be nice, and give you just a friendly advice, but if that is the way you answer, then...

Start with using dots and paragraphs. Then, as you already told, I know that the Factoy Reset will wipe the info. A newbie won't. If you want to help, you should seek a solution, and not offer to kill a fly with a bazooka as you just did it. Or, if you really believe that a factory reset will be the only solution, you just can advise the user to do a backup before. Please, be careful.
Thank you anyway.

I guessed you were that smart enough that you will understand what I am speaking of if I didnt use dots anyways guess I was wrong. Now comming to the issue I told you that you can do a factory wipe(or dont know whatever you did that wiped your data) to restore your gapps default settings back ,if I would have a said go to service center you then it may refer killing a fly with a bazooka. And taking a backup is your doing part and even I didnt mention you could have asked or would/should have taken a backup(you keep saying you use titanium recovery and I see it how much you know of it).I wont loose any data from a wipe but you will so you should have thought of instead of playing this blame game. You should develop a sense(not everyone have it) but its essential to develop this sense which is called common sense when you are a smartphone user.Bottom line I dont need to be careful,in the end its your device that will be messed up if you dont pay attention to what you are doing with it.
NO OFFENCE

Again, I didn't wipe nothing. I didn't format nothing. I'm not mad because i've lost something. I didn't, and I'm not mad at all.
I'm not in a blaming game. I've just try to give you and advise about sending someone (anyone) to wipe anything without telling him to backup.
It's not about if i understood you or not. It's about being clear, and writing something easy to read.
Sending the user to the service center with a non-stock rom it's not a bazooka. It's a nuke. The user will pay in cash for the mistake.
And telling me that i should develope common sense, is just nonsense. If I didn't got that, surely i'd lost my data.
You don't wanna be careful? No problem. Then just add "Make a backup and then" before any line in you're telling someone to wipe any data in any way. Copy/Paste if you don't wan't to write it.
Thank you.

forgot my pin code

apparantly i locked my TB with a pin code and woke up this morning and now i cant get into it at all. after 60 tries i thought it would ask me to enter my google account email and pw which i have but it hasnt. anyway to get past this??
Well that really sucks forgetting your pin code, but if it were easily worked around, it wouldn't be much of a security system, so it's not easy.
This Google help forum thread might help you out: http://www.google.com.tw/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=1889ba0fa1e29183&hl=en
If you're rooted, with adb access you might be able to clear something in the system to reset it, but I'm not sure where to start with that if it's even an option.
Factory reset will certainly get you back into the phone, and shouldn't wipe your sdcard data, but I'd pull it out before resetting just to be safe.
thanks i appreciate it. i just cant believe after 75 tries it doesnt tell you to enter your gmail account info to get into the phone. i thought all androids did that

yeah. both my OG Droid and Fascinate made me type my Google credentials after a certain number of failed tries. Call VZW and see if there is a workaround. Keep us posted!
If you are rooted and using ClockWorkMod, u could restore a backup, that uses no pin or an old pin.
If you do have CWM and a earlier backup, I would perform a backup and then restore the earlier backup.
if you can do that and get into the OS again, you might be able to Run Advanced Restore in CWM and just restore the Data Partition from the backup of the pin locked one. (this is just a guess, Im not sure where the pin is saved but this may be the best way to not loose data)

[Q] How do I get an Android L developer's preview?

Hi, I read that anyone with a developer's account can access the developers' preview build of Android L, that was supposed to be available today, I have a developer's account (to upload apps to the market) but I don't see any build of android L, is this the required account? or is there any other type of account required? thanks!

I guess it'll be available in a few hours.
I guess they just haven't released it, yet.
Don't forget their different timezone.
Thank you all, maybe I'm getting too desperate I just wanted to confirm that my account is the right one, I'll be refreshing until it appears, thanks again!
EDIT: I believe being rooted would not be a problem at the moment of the installation, right? I know that I'll lose root after that, but as long as the actual installation does not give me problems, it's fine.

Considering that the images will have to be flashed through fastboot, you'll probably lose root and everything else on data/system partitions (unless they don't wipe it, but I think it does).

As long as you don't flash the userdata.img, all /sdcard data will be fine. You don't have to flash userdata.img to bump android versions! System, boot would do just fine (and bootloader if they bump it as well)
Or you could just wait till a flashable zip is posted. Someone will have one up within hours of release.

Unless they changed the folder structure like they did a few releases ago - if they did, best to do a clean install.
I'm backing up right now just in case.
Don't wanna mess with the installation script by flashing some things and not others (although there would be virtually no risk by flashing system and boot partition), but better safe than sorry, after all, we can just shove everything back when finished
Consider ir a backup routine, and you'll have an updated bk

That's an entirely different scenario. Each and everyone of us would need to wipe clean if that happens but usually a system and boot flash would do just fine
The N5 has been my FIRST of many, many, many Android phones and even Windows Pocket PC phones that I haven't felt the need to unlock/root etc. Everything has just worked great on it and I have always been able to do everything I wanted to do from this phone. I have been so satisfied with the phone that it has kept me away from XDA for a while. Don't know if that is a good thing or bad, lol. I used to be on this site for hours every single day and now I feel like I am light years behind in rooting. HA!
L has me interested though and I am contemplating unlocking my bootloader for it which just becomes a PITA with losing your data and adding things back and all that great stuff that takes so much of your time. Then if things suck you have to flash back to something else and the never ending process continues. The N5 has gotten me so much time back in my life but I feel like it might demand some of my time back to it. Oh I hate this stuff!!!!
I think I'll make a backup, just in case, as someone said previously, I would prefer to make a clean installation if it's needed and use the image provided by Google.
Thanks!

Unable to Wipe Data since CM13

Hey ! First of all excuse my english I'll do my best.
I flashed CM13 to test it. To do that I flashed the TWRP you can find in CM's thread and just after I wiped the data because without that you're unable to wipe cache/dalvik/system. After the flash everything was right except for some reasons in my opinion this rom wasn't smooth enough so I wanted to go back to EMUI (damn EMUI never thought i could want to go back to this again).
To do that I flashed The "normal" TWRP and tryed to wipe my data. It was impossible. Si I tryed to restore my nandroid, impossible too. Some errors messages.
So I flashed the CM's TWRP and was finally able to wipe my data and restore my EMUI nandroid. After that I tryed to flash again the "normal" TWRP and take a look at the wipe options to see if I was able to wipe data or dalvik or whatever but the same errors messages came to my face.
Is there a way to fix the wipe of my TWRP without rollback to stock and root again ?
I hope I was clear, my english really sucks.
Thank you guys.

seams he's not good enough to get that so I'll explain more !
for some reason or flashing roms u' might get some errors while flashing roms or trying to wipe data ! ..
restoring ur nandroid sometimes need to be restored throw the same recovery but for some binary errors while restoring or for some reason it wont !
I recommended to do the following :
Use the full restoration method to get back into stock fresh . ( to do that all u need is : download fresh rom from official EMUI website then send it to SD card , put it into ur phone , make sure its off , press volume Up+Down+Power for 3 seconds or 4 then will start getting back ur original Software ) if u got fail might be for some reason of a kernel so u'll need to do the ADB Method will be later if fail only .
now after getting back to stock install TWRP again and make nandroid restore only for data without system and cach and delvik
u must get all ur phone back as will but the restoration should be only above same rom version and custom number .
GD Luck ..
Thank you for the "not good enough" man I'm flashing roms since 2009, I had a lot of phones and a lot of way to flash roms. My english sucks, not me.
I know how to erase the recovery but I already try to flash different recovery, it's obvious for me that my problem is here because of the encryption missing of the DATA partition who have been erase by the CM's TWRP. I try to find a way to fix the encryption without get back to stock because it's a pain in my ass and if I can do another way I'll be happy. I hate come back to stock, it's a waste of time to come back to all tweaks I made on my actual rom.
But if I have to come back to stock I'll do it.
I'm use to work with phones more open than Honor so I'm a little disapointed about all the pain devs have with this phone.
Thanks for your help anyway. Oh and yes, I can be wrong about encryption but I don't think so.
Much love.

Thanks man but between I have an answer of surdu_petru in private message whose telling me to watch here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70131271&postcount=350
So the problem seems to be with encryption, I'll have to come back to stock, this will encrypt the DATA partition and fix my problem. IMO it should be said somewhere in CM's thread.
Thank to all of you.

Verizon Pixel stuck in bootloop. Please help.

Hey guys. I really messed up. I was running 7.1 from launch, and have had the systemless root basically since the beginning. I attempted to mount /system as /r/rw (for the stupidest reason) and my phone booted into a "no command" bootloop. Is there any hope for me? I can access recovery (I think). I can get into adb and fastboot and get the device recognized by the computer.
I will donate, buy coffee, anything for some love. Thank you so much for your time!

Thank you so much for the reply. I think I could even do a factory reset from recovery, but I'm not sure. I'm pretty new at this. I was really hoping there may be a way I could backup my data first, or even fix the issue, as I'm pretty sure I know what happened. I think my permissions are set wrong, but I could be entirely wrong. I found this guide that sounds like my issue, but it is for a different device. I've tried adapting it to the best of my ability, but I can't get the phone in ADB mode from recovery. http://www.gizbeat.com/2103/how-to-change-file-permissions-through-adb/
Wouldn't hurt to try knowing you can also just flash stock images.

I really appreciate any and all help and would gladly donate to this site or any individual user who is able to help me solve my problems (I hope it isn't against your rules to say things like that).
Thanks again.

Sorry, I was unclear, that was my fault. I believe I know how to flash stock images. That is something I have done since the OG Droid. I was asking if you may know anyone who may be able to help me attempt to backup my data, reset my permissions, or even get the phone into ADB mode before I resort to losing everything. Again, apologies for being unclear.
No worries. I would just look online and possibly post another thread here or just wait for replies.
Flash the stock image but remove the -w from the script to keep from losing data. Search around here for instructions. It's been described a zillion times.

Is this what is referred to as a "dirty flash"?

I suppose one could think of it that way but it really isn't. Everything other than data will be wiped and flashed. It'll all be new with the exception of your data partition. Removing the w allows you to keep all your apps and their settings in tact. The rest will all be new though. It can't hurt to try it. If it doesn't fix your problem (which it should) you can always run it again and wipe data along with everything else.

I was successful. Thank you so much. What can I do for you to show thanks?

Yes. But in reality it is not much different than taking an OTA. That never wipes data. I only clean flash if I am having issues after a dirty flash and I can't remember the last time that happened.

Recovering a deleted video from Note 5

Hello there,
Unfortunately I deleted an important video from my Verizon note 5. I been trying to recover the video for two days but no luck. I tried Samsung Data recovery, dr.fone, Recuva, and many different software. I came to the conclusion it's not possible without rooting my device which I would if I know how,but from what I read there was no successful way to root the Verizon version. Any idea, or a recommendation would be really appreciated.
Thank you!!

It's probably to late without having some sophisticated software recovery tools and taking the phone apart.. I guess if it was mine, I'd create a backup of everything I needed and then do a factory reset and when it asks to restore thing's after the reset tap yes and hope that it did back it up to your Google account and save it but I really think it's to late. Make sure you sign back in with the correct(same) Google account. Before doing any factory reset make sure OEM unlock is ENABLED in developer settings!!

Thanks for the replay, why is it too late? I used the phone for one day after the accidental delete and have been using another phone ever scene.

It's could be to late because the memory blocks that it was stored on could have been overwritten already by now and that makes it to late it's gone and something else is in it's place.. That's why I said maybe your Google account might have backed it up so you can email Google and see what they say about it..

Thanks a lot for your try to help. It was not backed to the cloud for sure because it was deleted right after it was recorded. Do you think there is still any chance to recover it by the factory rest method? Also, Is there any software I can purchase to help ?

Probably not.. You can ask around but a lot of the software or apps people sell don't do what they say they can do but I would search around and try to read reviews on some of the applications because other people will tell you whether they've had any luck or not but I would look around before the factory reset because if you do that you're definitely overwriting the memory blocks for sure!!
Still looking for some way to recover the file but no luck. Didn't use the phone ever since.
I wonder if you have set up to sync before. If yes, maybe you can check out in the trash of Google Drive. It is allowed to recover deleted data within 60 days. Or you can try FORecovery to recover your data, which I have used before. As I know, it's have nothing to do with device version while the software identifying and rooting your phone. Anyway, just take a try. Hope this is not too late for you.

Thanks for your reply. For Recovery could not recover the files as it couldn't root the device.

If the video is super important and you absolutely have to have it you should take it a recovery specialist and don't download or put anything else on the phone because it can overwrite the memory blocks.. Usually when you delete something the system just marks the memory blocks as reusable and able to be overwritten but if you don't do anything to cause it to be overwritten it's possible that it's still just sitting in the memory blocks and you just can't see it..
