(Q) Zerolemon battery not fully charging? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey guys, just got my lemon 2 days ago and its going great. I got about a 2 days on the first charge. I plugged it in at 2% like the instructions say and it started charging. I woke up this morning and it said it is fully charged and I took it off and as soon as I did, it went to 59% and has been draining really fast. Within 30 min its down to 52. What's going on?

That's happened to me on stock battery before, I think it might still be charging it when it isn't actually 100% like the phone indicated. I just plug it back to be sure. Let it get to 100%. My zero lemon never did that but it sounds like something common

Follow what Joshua said. Be sure it's the factory cable and charger, remember a few people saying it may be their cable. Of course they had a few to test.

You can also try an external charger. Charge it out side the phone. Idk if you can calibrate it but that might be worth a shot.

Weird battery glitch.

So, got this weird glitch. I'll have say 30% of my battery left and I'll power cycle and suddenly I'll have something like 4% left. And power cycling doesn't help or anything. And plugging it in just charges it from that 4%. Anybody got anything?

Just thought about this. I should probably let you know I'm on the latest official stock.

Im runnings the official Roger's GB ROM on my Infuse ATM and I've had similar issues. Mine goes a bit deeper though.
When I first got the phone, it wouldn't charge to 100%, whether it be on or off. When the phone finally charged to 100%, the second you unplug it, the battery widget I had and the built in battery meter on the phone said it was at 80%.
While using the battery, it would drain, sometimes suddenly dropping from 40% to 10%. The only way to get the phone to charge to 100% while its off is to charge it for about 8 hours or overnight. Even then, upon bootup, the phone read anywhere between 80%-85%
This is the OEM battery. Im going to try my luck with a battery off eBay that claims to be "OEM", but so far charging for 7 hours straight with the phone off, it wasn't able to reach 100%.
So im hoping it's not the phone itself. Ive charged the phone with various charges, usb cords, and used juice plotter to keep track of things. Definitely something fishy going on because my graphs always show a sudden jump from 85% to 100% in a span of less than a minute =\

I don't think it's b/c of the rom your on, happened to me when my phone was stock. I tried to let it die, but once it hit zero percent, it just kept going till the "true" battery percent was drained. Im on S7 now and it still happens occasionally..

Extended battery on g2x

has anyone let the charge on there extended battery died and got to charge backup.Im trying to charge mines again but doesnt turn on but it was working a few moments ago 8(
Yes.. Sounds like a defect. Take the battery out and place it back in then let it charge for a couple of minutes.

[Q] Battery Discharging while connected to charger

Hi guys,
I got a mt4gs a week ago and it charged the battery at first but then after 3 days of use i connect it to the charger but still the battery is discharging, I got another battery but still its discharging while connected to an ac adapter. I am rooted and running miktouch 0.5. should I return the phone?
If it's doing the same thing while connected to your computer thru the USB, I have to admit it DOES sound like a mechanical issue.
That was happening to me awhile ago too. Mine was due to the USB charging pins being bent. I took the phone apart and was able to bend them back using a safety pin.
You also might want to try a different cable.
As a precaution, I bought a couple ankers and wall charger so I always have a spare.
Good luck.

got a new charger but still didnt work, going to return it.
Also have a weird battery problem on mt4gs.
Battery seems to drain while connected on AC, whether it's being used or not, but a restart shows it with more power. e.g. if I restart @ 52% when I restart it says 79%. if I restart again it may be 32% or another almost random number. sometimes 17%, 82%, 92%. I've tried all sorts of apps and wiping batter stats in cw.
Once I left it off and plugged in and the led turned from orange to green. But power on showed 92%. I tried two different batteries, it seems to be the same.
I worked properly before and I can't seem to remember when I realized it was doing this. Yesterday I also noticed, when I pull the battery for a while date and time resets. Dec, 1 1974 I think, Internal battery dead?
Anyone have suggestions?

I'm also having that problem with mine. Its in the cm9rc buglist, affecting users of some aftermarket batteries. I have the Hyperion 3500. Suspecting battery firmware issues...its always been a little strange. Reporting %100 for way too long, then declining normally for a while, then dropping from %30 to nothing pretty rapidly. Now on CM9 rc reporting is just random and inaccurate. Time to spend for an Anker. Ready to get rid of this heavy double-thick battery anyways. With consistent improvements in battery life I don't think I need it anymore.

Hmmm. Although I'm on virtuous Inquisition now. I was having these issues on the stock tmo from which prompted me to upgrade. Was on same virtuous Inquisition before that but went to stock because I just love the Genius button. :what:

I swapped out for the highly regarded anker batteries and my reporting problems have gone away. Battery drain now reports accurately.
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using xda app-developers app
Hoping that it would resolve I finally got a pair of anker with the charger. My problems didn't go away. Just the anker running 15° cooler

Battery drain [help]

I bought a moto g and it arrived on Thursday. I set up all configurations and, normally, battery over. I charge during the night and everything OK.
Yesterday I played a little and battery stay on 88%, and I turn off the phone. But the phone is for my girlfriend and I only give it today.
Everything right, she played and battery goes to 60%, few hours (1h or 2h) battery gone, and phone shutdown. I turn on again and only have 1%, but this 1% lasted more than 1h and she played games and have wifi on.
I think it's not normal. What you think?
Thanks, and sorry for my English.

Try factory reset your device
Sent from my XT1034 using xda app-developers app
Seems like some Gs are getting out of the factory with wacky battery calibration issues.
Charge it to 100%, do a factory reset, run it dry, charge again and use it normally through a few charge cycles. If the issue persists, contact Moto.
You can read about the problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545553
it seems to happen only once for a device

Thanks all, I will try and see what happen.

Best way to charge your Nexus 5 Battery

Hi all
I will be getting my nexus 5 tomorrow and was just curious if there are ant does and donts with regards to charging the battery. The reason i ask is i currently have a HTC sensation and after 18 months the battery had to be replaced as it was simply not holding its charge. My routine was to charge it overnight every night and use it during the day.
Does charging it through the night cause damage? im just a little bit more concerned as i will not be able to replace the battery with it being sealed.
Thanks for any tips
Chris
Hi,
Take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2511647...
I used to do the same thing with my HTC Incredible... I learned that it can damage the battery over time by not allowing it to hold a charge. Now, when I get home (depending on remaining %) I charge my phone, and unplug it during the night.
If for some reason the battery dramatically drains overnight, I'll charge it when I'm getting ready to leave in the AM.
That is just my method, but I have had great results with it for my usage.
Plug it in...

I have had this phone since it was announced. I plug it in every night when I go to bed and leave it plugged in till I wake up. My battery is fine. I have done the same with my note 2 also. Never had any problems

It's not hard to pop the back cover off and replace the battery when it goes bad. I just dont worry about it and charge whenever and take it off the charger whenever.
