ChocoDough's MF3 Debloat list - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

Here is my personal Debloat list for MF3. I realize that some of the things that are on my debloat list some people might find useful and want to keep. But this list is just the stuff that I don't use.
My main purpose is to make this as close to a GE type ROM as I can but still maintain some of the TW parts that I like.
There are a few files which I was looking for more information before adding to the list. I couldn't find a good description for a ELMAgent.apk, DirectConnect.apk, and DirectShareManager.apk. If anyone has some info on what they are and safe to delete, I'll add them to the list.

Well yes and no. hehe
I just download a workable ROM zip file from the Dev section here and just deleted / added what I wanted to it. It's pretty easy. So the ROM I flash on my phone has the stuff deleted before it's even flashed.
As for getting the MF3 bloat back, just download a MF3 ROM in the dev section, unzip it with either Winrar or 7-Zip, and just get what you need from there.

I wasn't sure if that was going to work, thanks!

If you feel some app should not have been removed please let me know.
I think all the apps you removed does not affect. But the
HTMLViewer.apk
MyFiles
vpnservices.apk
wipeoutreceiver.apk
would be useful!
Sorry if it is a noob question.
How can we remove the apps 'safely'? Is it by uninstalling or can we delete it from the /system/app folder?
Thanks in advance.

Both ways its okay. Problem is that some apps have a different name than the filename, which is why I have given both where different. I use titanium backup, wipe data and then uninstall.

Look at the list again.
There are VZW apps on it but only related to the network
if this list is correct. it would be the first time Verizon is getting a pure Android experience on their network.
From what I hear is the phonesky.apk is the vending.apk and the two vzw ones are for LTE but I could be wrong I just saw this on another forum.

It would actually. The only two phones that are pure Google are the nexus phones which Verizon did not get. You may be thinking vanilla or aosp but those had vzw bloat on them pure Google means no bloat no carrier apps or anything. Eg is Sony xperia play. Its vanilla but not pure.

seems a nice feature, but i'd think it would be an battery eater!
I know you've subtly hinted at the fact it won't run, but some users don't bother reading, or don't comprehend English well enough to understand more complex English. But you need to add a warning advising users that these applications will not run on their current android setup. Any attempt to install will most likely result in force closing.
they cant install.need new sdk for that ...so dont worry
if someone is to stupid to push some of those apps without backup first well no cure for that lol

Just search bro.
You can easily delete a lot of apps like
BuddiesNow.apk
CertInstaller.apk
Dlna.apk
DualClock.apk
FactoryTest.apk
InfoAlarm.apk
Layar-samsung.apk
MyFiles.apk
PicoTts.apk
SamsungApps.apk
SamsungWidget_CalendarClock.apk
SamsungWidget_FeedAndUpdate.apk
SamsungWidget_StockClock.apk
SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk
Street.apk
Swype.apk (Unless You Want This)
thinkdroid.apk
TouchWizCalculator.apk (Unless You Want This)
TtsService.apk (Unless You Want Text To Speech)
TwWallpaperChooser.apk (Unless You Want the TouchWiz Wallpapers)
VoiceDialer.apk (Unless You Want Voice Dial)

You can check "Running Apps" you'll see hibernated apps not running. (not system apps only datas like whapp, viber, facebook blabla).
Hibernating don't freeze apps permanently and I'm not developer of Greenify If you have issue contact with developer.

I thought it to be usefull. It helped me to decide what to freeze/uninstall.
I don't want to offend, but I would suggest to write a small (at least a half sentence) explanation, to EVERY app. That's more noob friendly. I don't know more than half of the apps what they actually are, or what for.
Before remove the keyboard, please install one of you choice. Without one, you will get a nice useless answer machine
