Hello guys,
Thank you for taking your time to read, apparently when I charge my phone at 80% a green light appears on my phone which tells me its charged. Obviously it hasn't as its 80% not 100% I seem to think its something called "battery stats" but I cannot delete The file I looked everywhere. I'm using ROOTBOX ROM. Can Anyone help me please
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
If you try a new ROM the battery will recalibrate. Even if the total battery storage left is 80% (wear and tear), the phone will still say 100% when fully charged.

Hello all,
I have been having a situation with my phone where while I am using the phone and the battery reaches about 80 - 75% the phone just dies without even shutting down, and when I turn it back on the battery is at something like 1%. Even more strangely, if I turn it off and wait for like an hour then reboot, it is back at 80%. I have calibrated the battery, so I am sure it is not a calibration issue. Also, this has been happening on every rom that I use. I had a Vibrant but traded with my father but I have the battery from the Vibrant even though they are the same.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I have discovered this is due to the battery itself and not a calibration error. I am using a new one now with no problems. Thank you very much for the suggestions though.
Gingerbread or Froyo?

I am using gingerbread 2.3.5
It is newest valhala with a voodoo kI3 kernel.
Go to recovery and go to advanced/wipe battery stats and fix permissions

You need to calibrate your battery. download the battery calibration app by nema from the market. Charge your phone to as close to 4200mv as you can. Calibrate in the app. unplug phone immediately. Let it die completely. Charge it back up with no break

Thanks but I have tried this before posting. I did not let it run empty though, so I will try that.

The whole point is to let it run empty after clearing the stats when the phone is full...

I've been charging my phone on a regular basis. Daily in fact. But the stats tell a different story. Anyone else with the same problem? Anyone knows how to fix this?

further explain what the hell do you mean? you need to give us a bit more detail on what exactly are you encountering or specifically ask why is this happening.
I included the screen grab didn't I? It says 6 days plus on battery. When the phone lasts only a day. See the screen grab.
And this is after the JB OTA update.

Your being to broad that doesn't mean anything to me all I see is 6days and your charging it every so often what's wrong? Your phone is lasting a day? Explain what exactly your doing you need to specify and further explain what your doing.
For example
In screenie I have 4 days on one charge.
I watched some netflix and barely any usage it was very minimal. And about every other 6 to 12 hours I turn off data and switch on airplane mode as you can see.
Another thing leaving your phone on for that much time just IMO makes the battery life die faster rather than fully charging do your usual stuff till the day ends and once done at night just shut it off charge turn back on in the morn.

Isn't this a bug? It's only supposed to tell me the time the phone's been running on battery since the last charge. See screenshot from my Photon 4G for example.

there is no bug at all. it tells you the time since the phone has been on no from the last charge.
Lets say i use my phone and im around 30% and its been 8 Hours since i turned on my phone from 100%. once i plug it in it will keep track of the time my phones been on (Up time) not from last charge.
there is an app called Better Battery Stats but it causes wakelocks but it will show you those type of stats and more
I think you are mistaken friend. The discharge graph shows the time since the last recharge. See http://support.google.com/android/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2677609&topic=2677645&ctx=topic (last para) for details.

well on my Epic it will say whatever time its been on since turned regardless of being charged or not, ive tested it out on several devices i think your losing your mind haha what does it matter anyways?
Its simply telling you how long you have been using the battery not when it was off the last charge.

For me it happens when the recharge doesn't make the battery goes above 90%. The graph will "reset" when the battery is charged above 90%.
I'm rooted unlocked and romd and my battery dies so fast and I can't tell why. The whole day I've set CPU to power save and even in the settings power save is turned on. No apps are left running. It's been 7 hours and I'm on 53%? Is this normal or is my battery bad? I'm running the latest GalaxyMod rom.
Get GSAM battery monitor off the market and let it run. It will show you what's using your battery.

Maybe Try a different kernel. That has happened to me on certain kernels.

How many hours of screen on time is there for those seven hours.
I'd say any thing over one and a half hours of screen on time is pretty decent for 53% over seven hours

Okay so my screen takes up 28% as for apps System and Kernel take up 14% each then Kik at 11% and Xda at 9% the rest don't use that much. Any advice?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Are you charging with wall charger or car charger? Car chargers give a quick charge that eventually ruins batteries if used often. Also others have said to let it drain completely and use CWM to reset battery info. Then full charge and wipe battery info again. Once fully charged unplug replug charger in until it takes less than 10 seconds to show fully charged and reset battery info again. Doing that 2-3 times is said to help refresh battery. I did it once and saw a slight difference.
I'm just using a normal wall charger

Hi people, im having the 0% battery problem and ive spent hours trying to search for a fix but everything i've tried does not seem to work for me. I came across this guide but its just a fix for Xperia ARC/NEO. Is it possible that somebody can create something like this for us?

basically the phone continually shows at 0% battery, everytime i switch it on it switches off automatically. when i put it on charge the phone does not switch off but does not charge either, still displays as 0% and as soon as i take it off charge then the phone shuts down. I've replaced the battery but no luck, tried different chargers but no luck as well

Same as mine then. Sometimes it shows 1% and can be used for a few minutes. BUT... if I go to the hidden menu (3845#*920#) and choose port setting and change the port to CP USB the battery meter goes up to 100% and I can use the phone as usual. To bad it shows 100% all the time till the phone dies due to battery drain.

Hello guys
I have since 1 week a very weird problem my phone is very warm on the top of the phone and the battery just drains down I charge it in the night so my phone is 100% in the morning and when I get it out of my pocket after 1 hour 68% left and the top of the phone is just very hot
How can I solve this I don't have the time to bring it away because I need my phone for school and work
This problem started when I upgraded to 4.2.2 the Spanish one and I flashed back to 4.1.2 yesterday but the problem is still here
I also deleted everything on my phone wiped it nothing helps

I'm having the same problem, although phone is not getting any hot or anything like thath.
But battery is draining like hell. In a few second it will go from 15% to 0% and phone will shut down automatically.
Also when phone is fully charged it will drain battery pretty quick even with screen switched off and just music playing it will go dwon from 100 to 70 in one hour.
I've switched off all push email, facebook stuff etc. not usibg 3g much, got no clueue whats causing this to be honest.
Battery Callibration
hi,
I've had the same problem and I used this and it works
Download Battery Callibration in the Google Play Store.
You need root
Good luck
I will try the app

You don't need this app because li-ion accu calibrate it self when it is empty and you load it again.

You could try Greenify or Wakelock which will point you in the direction of what is using resources and to hibernate the offenders.
Quite useful apps.
I've tried greenify and it was causing more damage than good
