[Q] Samsung Galaxy 3g keeps disconnecting -plz help - General Questions and Answers

Hi
I have an Samsung galaxy ace advance GT-S6800 , Gingerbread 2.3.6
For some or other odd reason the 3g ( h ) icon keep disappearing and only when going to phone info with code *#*#4636#*#* and restarting the Radio under "WCDMA only" will it connect to the 3g/H network.. success for 5 minutes or so and then it shuts down again..
Can anyone help with a fix or solution
Thanks in advance

Ok here u go
Assuming u r rooted
Update ur cwm version
I prefer v5.5
Google it up and flash via cwm
For roms installation:
Put it in ur external sd card
Then go to cwm
Select wipe data factory reset
Select wipe cache
Select wipe delvik cache
Select install zip from sd card
Select choose zip from sd card
Select choose zip from external sd card
Chooze the zip file
Reboot

Hi all there this is my First thread.
First I would like to Thank XDA for giving this opp to me.
and i would like to thank all those who contributed to this becoz I haven't done any thing for this.
Im just posting the method i tried and it worked fine.
Moderators forgive me if it comes under any violation and if so i would like u to remove this Thread.
I thank :good:aorth, bdigitalstudio ,garyd9,DarkSwanKnight:good: For all the gud work they have done all Credits belongs to them.
Warning am not resposible for the consequences if any thing goes wrong,Am posting the method that i used to root and Install CWM 6.0.1.0 in My tab P6200.Use It at ur Own Risk.
Prerequisites
* Make sure u have Enough Charge Left(min 30%) for a safe side.
* Download the Attachments I have given and place it in ur External SD card(all credits goes to those who made those Files).
* Make Sure u have Stock 4.0.4 Rom.
Now lets Begin.
1.Root ur tab by follwing the method Mentioned below
* Download attached root.zip and CWM.zip and place it in ur External Sd card.
* Get into Recovery Mode by pressing Power button and Volume Up button continuously(Hold it both at least for 30 secs max)
* From the Stock Recovery navigate to the option Install zip from external sd card by using the volume buttons.
* select the Install Zip from Ext Sd card option by pressing the power button
* Install it by selecting Yes-Install CWM.zip .
* now navigate to the CWM.zip file u placed in ur External SD card.
* Now the temporary Clock Work Mode Recovery will appear.
* It is A touch Based Clock work Mod Recovery so u can use ur fingers to select what u want.
* In that recovery Select the Install Zip from SD card.
* Navigate to root.zip file u downloaded and scroll to select Yes-Install root.zip it to install.
* After Installation Completes u have Rooted ur tab with temporary Clock work Mod.
* Don't Reboot If u want to Install Permanent CWM,or if u just want root ur tab with no CWM installed u can reboot now.
2. To Install Clock Work Mod 6.0.1.0 Permanently
* Select Install zip from Sd Card again.
* Navigate to the recovery.zip file u have downloaded.
* Install the file by selecting Yes-install option.
* wait until it says Installation Successful.
* Now reboot and Enjoy ur Rooted tab with CWM 6.0.1.0 installed.
Thnk for All those who really Worked hard to get this work done.
Bro, please take note, cwr temporary only use for flashing, don't ever use to wipe. It will brick your device, since i already brick my tab, and only can be save until u change the new main board. So please be careful.

Yup...With stock recovery all good, but with cwr temporary it brick my tab 3month ago, just to share because i've already change my main board 3month ago. So be careful especially for ics4.0.4. Because some people also bricks after wipe in stock recovery, Thks.
For save rooting, i suggest using supersu 0.94/0.95 from chainfire it can flash from stock recovery. And flash aorth recovery (6.0.1.0.img) using mobile odin. So we can avoid using that cwr.
how to use mobile odin and flash the recovery? U can check to aorth thread and ask senior members for any help.

So far everything seems to be working i think, my tablet should be rooted and apps such as setdns should have no problem. But no.. I installed CWM-SuperSU-v0.94.zip thinking the old supersu version i use was the cause, and still no promt asking for permission. Any idea how to get this root thing fix? :\

Have patience,wait for 10-15 minutes.
First of all, you shouldn't have used Rom manager. It bricks our device
Read the guide in the top of general section and install a proper recovery from odin.
Maybe the zip you have downloaded is corrupted. So download it again and try.
Make sure you are on official gingerbread(2.3.x) and not froyo(2.2)
If none of this works, there is something seriously wrong with your device.
But don't worry, you can flash stock via odin and revert back to factory state.

Which customize ROM?
For customize ROM you need with ODIN instal Clockwork Mod Recovery (CWM).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339640
Now you can install custom ROM. Go in CWM and go on wipe data reset, wipe cashe partition in Advanced wipe dalvik cashe. Install ROM and again go on wipe data reset, wipe cashe partition and in Advanced, go on wipe dalvik cashe. Reboot phone. It need wait about 5 minutes for system up.

Do this straight away:-
1. Flash Froyo 2.2.1(4 package) of ur country.
2. Then flash Gingerbread 2.3.6(one package) of ur country.
3. Then flash cwm via Odin.
4. Flash the custom rom thereafter.
Since it seems a bit complex issue, u need to try this to ensure zero errors.:sly: Btw u can try above steps in ur spare time.
As for me, I always try all methods that I know b4 concluding anything.

My galaxy fit rebooting continuously

I had rooted galaxy fit with 2.3.6. Today i did factory reset on my phone including wiping memory card(as i had increased my internal memory using external sd). Since wiping and reset my phone is continuoudly rebooting. I also tried restore option but nothing happened. I do not know much about it. Please help.

Did u use cwm recovery to format the samsung stock rom??:what: If yes... then it's O.K. No need to worry. Just flash any custom rom (cyanogenmod 7 recommended for flashing the very 1st time over samsung stock rom).
Note: Do format /system b4 flashing.
I do not have much idea about this. Would u please explain the procedure.
Sent from my Micromax A116 using xda app-developers app
Enter recovery mode by pressing & holding Home+Power buttons together when the phone is switched off.
Since ur phone isn't turning on & u mentioed that restore option is not working...I guessed that u might have cwm recovery...coz restore option belongs to cwm recovery... CWM recovery is used for custom roms...while the Android OS installed on the phone at the time of purchase has it own different recovery (known as stock recovery). Stock recovery has much less options than cwm recovery.
BTW how did u format ur phone...?? from settings or via recovery??:sly:
I did factory reset from setting. After that it restarted and opened the boot menu from wher i selected the wipe option
Sent from my Micromax A116 using xda app-developers app
During formatting via settings, the phone automatically reboots after succesful format. & boots directly to home screen (not ny boot menu).
Now can i get my phonr back in initial stage by flashing any rom or i will have to go to service centre.

For 4 pkg f/w(e.g. froyo):-
