I returned from cm10.1 alpha 8 to ddlf2. Then i tried to download whatsapp. Everytime i do, it stops at 2.00MB and stucks like forever. This is the only app that i can't download so far, I can download others.
Sideload it then.
Have you tried downloading it from the official Whatsapp page?

When I first installed apps to my infinity, the play store was fine. After i performed three or four factory resets, now market stucks at downloading apps at some point. If one app gets stuck at `Downloading` , that`s it: you can`t install it from the store anymore. It always gets stuck
Sometimes it follows this pattern
one app gets stuck --> cancel download manuall
the next one installs fine
the next gets stuck --> cancel download manually
the next installs fine
so on and so forth
Do you experience this? do you have any suggestions?
I tried rooting and replacing the play-store apk
trying to download with 3g connection. with wifi or ethernet but no luck
I have tried one more hard reset but again ....

Are you getting an error message?
Sometimes what helps is --in settings-accts/sync-- removing your Google account, then in apps/all-- force close the play store, clear cache and data, then go back to open play store--it will make you sign-in again. Then you should be able to download your apps successfully. Do you have it set to auto-update? That could cause a bottleneck if you have a lot updating at the same time.
After following the details instructions from LoLaTiOn, in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2138707&page=27 I'm stuck again with the CyanogenMod.
I started over again, following your steps with Odin 1.85
Flashed KPE, PASS.
Flashed LF2, PASS.
Flached cf-root, PASS.
Flashed CM10 and again the Cyanogenmod logo doesn't go. I didn't put all the step you mention, but apply them ALL step by step in the same order.
Flashed again KPE, PASS.
Flashed again LF2, PASS.
Boot and I received the same messages and problems that I was trying to solve upgrading to CM10, which are:
1.- UIDs on the system are inconsistent ....
2.- The application facebook (process com.facebook.katana) has stopped unexpectedly...
3.- The application google search (proces com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox) has stopped unexpectedly..
4.- Can't download apps from the Play Store (ERROR - xxxxxd could not be downloaded due to an error (-101)
5.- Can't access internet: The app Internet (process com.android.browser) has stopped unespectedly. Please try again.
6.- Same wallpaper of my own photo!!!
7.- Still have Angry Birds, Facebook, GT Racing and Skype!!!
And didn't try any more. :crying:
Many thanks to LoLaTiOn, who took the time to make an excelent tuto step-by-step. Unfortunately didn't work.
I don't understand why aflter flashing, wipeing data and clearing cache, and factory reset, I stil have my wallpaper photo and the apps like Angry birds and so on. I'm not reverting to FACTORY.
Has it something to do that my phone is GT-I9003L? The stock roms I download as KPE makes my phone boot as GT-I9003 only.
I don't think it's related to the roms being incompatible with our phone. I have reverted to stock, upgrading and using custom ROMs from here without any problems.
Have you tried formatting the external SD card in windows? Maybe that's the source of your problems...
I agree with you about the rom. I formatted the external SD with windows and after many other flashes, I formatted with the phone options to, but nothing changed.
I flashed again KPE and DLF2. The messages still appeared but I finally give up and return the phone to my friend.
If she wants to send the phone to Samsung they will charge him about USD 50, but I don't know if the can revert. Perhaps with JIG.
Anyway, will leave the post here so I don't use our forum members time and brain.
Tranks for all as you, who support me with this strange behavior!!!
So yesterday I successfully upgraded my Motorola Defy from 2.2 to jellybean using the latest version or the cyanogen mod. I also installed the latest Gapps. Everything seemed fine until attempted to connect to wifi. When I click on the browser app it loads then instantly crashes. Then I tried the play store but it would not connect. It says it is connected to my home wifi next to the connection but says not connected under the drop down menu.
To try to fix this I reinstalled the cyanogen mod and gapps. Same problem. Then I tried a later version of them with still no luck. Every time I have installed I have restored and cleared the cache. The lasted install won't even turn on wifi.
Everything I have downloaded has been from links on this site. I am a total noob at this and have no idea what's wrong so I've just given as much info as I can.
I have been using PAC ROM since the beginning of October and have had no problems with Playstore until a few days ago. I click install and either one of two things will happen. the download will start and then it will just stop. I've waited 30 minutes to see if it will restart but nothing happens. And at other times it will finish downloading but it doesn't start installing. I have tried clearing data of download manager, playstore and google framework. I reboot and try the download again but it still doesn't work. Any ideas what's wrong and hw i can fix it.
I also tried installing from a browser and it did not help.

also check if you have enough internal space
Yesterday, I decided it was time to update my optipop build. So, I backed up, I grabbed the new version and the new 5.0.1 PA gapps package and dirty flashed them over the old build. After booting, the google services started acting weird (chrome was freezing, sync wasn't working and google play simply closed every time I pressed it) so I tried logging in again and a clean flash, to no avail. Even a restore from the old backup didn't work. If I try to add any of my google accounts to the device, it gets stuck at "the checking info" screen. The animation keeps running indefinitely. And I've run out of ideas besides reflashing a stock ROM which I don't think will help.
Can anybody help?
