Urgent Joupunutbear weird !!! - HTC Sensation

Hi
This is my second sensation Xe first was fine due to when I read each and every thing and unlocked the bootloader plus by wire trick I achived S-off...
Now this my second device I have done same thing...
But in the bootmenu its written Joupunutbear on top instead of Bootloader locked or unlocked...
Any suggestions ?
Second problem I achived installed Clockwork Recovery but can't achieved to install 4ext recovery which is super awesome....
And my battery is draing like tap water before installing a Rom on stock it was working fi9 may be its related to Rom problem or may be that joupununtbear which is written on top...
That's why I couldn't remove the remvoe perm root.bat....
Coz its said in the last do u want to install Hboot I said yes which is a final step... But it said done and exit ...
From till then joupunutbear written on the top....

juopunutbear on top means that you have the patched hboot which is also unlocked
juopunutbear hboot came when you chose yes for hboot
there is not something wrong at all
about 4ext how did you try to install it?

[Q] hboot 1.23 and says s-off but locked

So i was in the middle of following the steps in the s-off and perma root thread and i ran into a problem. Hope someone here is nice enough to help me out.
So i ran revolutionary and everything went smooth. I already had the clockwork mod zip in the root of my sd card so i just rebooted the phone into hboot. When i went into hboot it detected the pg58img file and ran it, it prompted me if i wanted to update and so i did. It rebooted the phone and then i went back into hboot. The hboot said it was 1.23 and said Locked instead of Revolutionary as it displayed previously.
When i try to run the pg58 file in hboot an error occurs and said it is not compatible and only asks me to power off. So now at this moment it displays 1.23 version of hboot and s-off and says locked.
What can i do after this point? Any help i can get would be fantastic, thanks.
You're still good.
You're locked out of some of the most advanced fastboot commands. But that's it.
You still have S-Off. ADB will still work. You can flash ROM's. Etc etc etc....
It's a known problem. But it's not really a problem.
It's not like you divided by zero and destroyed the fabric of the universe or anything.
This is a noob question but how would i install clockwork recovery? I thought i would try dl from market but it said i didnt have root permission(obviously)
Is there a thread that has a solution to my issue or maybe you can quickly guide me out of this? lol Just kind of confused as to what i should do next lol.
Look in the development section for a thread called guide to s-off.
Skip the s-off part since you've done that.
Go right to the part about installing recovery. Following the directions. It's incredibly easy. It'll take about 3 minutes.
Once you have clcokwork recovery you can flash custom ROMs. You don't actually have to root the stock ROM. (Though you should make a backup of it just for kicks. You can do it all through clockwork recovery)
Yea I tried it multiple times already. I have the pg58 file in the root of the sd and when i go to the hboot it says
"Model ID incorrect!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot."
Thats the only option it gives me so i am not able to install clockwork recovery.
Do you have SuperCID?
no i do not, would that fix the issue? i thought that is just for installing any rom on the device. My issue is that i cant get recovery to work.
I would think that is the next step after i run the perma root zip.

It should. Follow the SuperCID instructions here. Then update your firmware via the bootloader with this package that rmk made. It includes ClockworkMod Recovery.
Cool, thanks. I will definately try this as soon as I get off work later today and post up a status regarding the issue

He doesn't have use of Fastboot commands. I am pretty sure they are needed for super CID. Let me check.
He can't super CID as Fastboot commands are used.
Have you tried to run the correct RUU.exe? I think that would change back your h boot. There are zips in the development section you can use to downgrade but you may need super CID to use them.

Yes, he does. CID commands will work with 1.23.xxxx. I've done it myself. Advanced fastboot commands won't work (he can't flash a radio through fastboot).

Yeah, I had SuperCID to flash the new firmware to use an ICS ROM, then changed it back to the T-Mobile one after. No worries, it's confusing.

Okay, I am not near a pc atm so I cannot look where they are located, if you have the adb tools you also need another program called Net Framework installed on your pc.
Make sure your phone is powered onvand usb debugging checked when plugged into pc. I find it easiest to hold the mouse over the adb tools folder, press alt & ctrl keys and right click on the mouse and choose open command window here. Now type the command "adb devices".
Good luck.

First boot can take 10 minutes to load as the Davilk cache is being recreated. Also, did you perform a full wipe first and check the Md5 checksums, make sure your downloaded ROM is not corrupt.

then flash it from phone connected in fastboot
"fastboot flash boot boot.img" (remove quotes)
alternatively
use the tool kit to use this boot image and flash it 9how? --i dont know coz i havent used it )

because he probably did what I just did. A quick google search on how to root a HTC Sensation (XE) will bring up a page saying you can use this tool for the Sensation, even though the tool is for the One X.
i did the exact same thing he did, as the tool says you should flash the Kernel. meaning I too am stuck with a phone that get stuck on the HTc white splash screen...
i don't know about this guy but my phone says:
*** UNLOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.29.0000
eMMC-boot
and it goes to the white splash screen if you select any of the options...

If your phones boot loader is unlocked
With the htcdev unlock tool and your already using 4ext then make sure smart flash is enabled (recovery > tools > enable smart flash) then do a full wipe and reflash the rom.

well, some of us, like myself didn't use a guide from this site. but come here to look for our solution. for example the guide I followed made no mention of this 4ext...
hell, even after spending my day trying to fix my phone, I still don't know how to install a ROM properly...
But that's your problem you used tutorial and even tools for completely different phone. Furthermore, you didn't read tutorials here, but you have the nerve to crawl here to find help. That's hypocritical to say at least. That being said, XDA's purpose is NOT to fix your problems that arised from your inability to think before you act. If it's tutorials weren't good enough for you then, it's help can't be enough for you now.

Htc sensation hboot 1.27.0000 s off

Hello. I had my HTC Sensation rooted, S-OFF and a custom ROM installed but the phone started playing up so I sent it back to HTC. They wiped the ROM and got rid of the recovery and changed the HBOOT to 1.27.0000 but my phone is still S-OFF!
I am puzzled however, how to get a custom recovery? There is no need for juopunutbear is there if my device is already S-OFF?
I want to have a custom recovery to install SuperSU and a custom ROM (Mike1887 Revolution Hd)
Any help?
My BootLoader is locked, too
your bootloader is not locked you just need to flah a new one and wrong section

It says 'Locked' at the top, is it just saying that when it is unlocked? And how do you flash a new recovery? I've done it numerous times before but I'm clueless?

Both of you do this
Get the control bear folder.. From my soff guide.. Link in my signature (don't worry you are not going to do soff procedure again..)
Extract the zip file and keep it somewhere
Connect the phone from bootloader/fast boot to pc
Open command prompt from the control bear folder.. (if windows hold shift + right click - open command windows here)
And type this
controlbear -i
That's all. You will have juop bootloader aka unlocked bootloader

[Q] Power Button Not Working In HBoot

Hi, I have a rooted sensation XE and I wanted to upgrade firmware via Hboot but my power button does not select any of the options (it works normally when using the phone). I can scroll through with the options using the volume - (my volume + does not work anymore but it has never caused problems so I havent had it repaired) but when I hit the power button nothing happens.
I am rooted and S-off with revolutionary Hboot 1.27 with 4-ext and venom 1.63.
Also I can only access Hboot through 4-ext or from the phones reboot options, I cannot access it by taking out the battery and using the power & volume - combination all that happens is the HTC screen comes on, goes off, comes on... you get the idea!
My phone is working in every other way but I do like flashing roms and I am concerned that if I have a bad flash I wont have a Hboot to fall back to.
If you know how to use adb I'm pretty sure you can flash firmware using adb
If your confident using adb I can give you commands
And about being worried about not having hboot to land on adb can easily reboot into bootloader but I suggest getting buttons repaired.

I am happy using adb, but my main concern is fixing the boot loader, I have put a zip file on my sd card (pg58.zip) which the bootloader would normally find and use but it does not even look for it.

weird, bootloader (not fastboot) should always do a quick scan for the file if the SDcard is inserted, regardless the way it's spelled. but like mentioned you can flash the file with ADB or fastboot. you don't really need bootloader for that.
so your hboot started having issues after you updated it from 1.18/17 to 1.27? or did you start rooting it from 1.27? what firmware are you running now? since you're on hboot 1.27 I wonder why you want to update FW.
you can check FW with
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
if you want to flash FW make sure it's spelled correct like mentioned above. Also do md5 check. you can install different bootloader to see if it solves the problem. if not I'd say send it for repair...

Thank you for all of you replies. My FW Version is 3.32401.3, this all came to light besause I wanted to flash Android Revolution HD7.1 which specifically requires you to have FW 3.33.401.x, (they even went to the trouble of pointing it out in red letters!) This is when I discovered the problem with the bootloader. I have got PG58IMG.zip (sorry about typo earlier) on the root of the SD card and the bootloader is completely ignoring it. As someone stated even if the file is misspelled, corrupt or whatever it should still look for it which it doesn't.
I am sure I could get the firmware upgrade to work using ADB, but I would feel alot better if I could find a way to fix my bootloader so that I could access it without using 4ext or the rom itself and I could use it when I did get into it without needing ADB.
I am just worried because I have had the odd occassion where a flash has gone bad for whatever reason and I have got stuck in a bootloop and other things but I have always been able to fix it by directly into bootloader or recovery and reflashing. As things stand at the mo the only way of accessing either of these is through the reboot options on the phone.

KGS Utility has managed to get me to bootloader and recovery but I keep on ending up in a boot loop no matter what I do. Can anyone reccommend a rom that is reliable on first boot. I am not worried about how stable it is afterwards.
Change of plan, I installed another rom and this one does not bootloop, it just gets stuck and I cant seem to get access to the bootloader or recovery, any ideas?

bootloop or ROM's not booting mostly means your ROM and FW don't match.

Problem with bootloader unlock on my sensation

Hello!!!
I have one problem with my sensation bootloader unlock. I took Unlock_code with HTCdev site and I start the unlock screen appears, yes or no, and when I click yes and power button phone freezes. Also when I run reboot bootloader also freeze. He prayed to for help. Pictures are attached.
P.S. Also when you are fallen cell phone shows HTC logo and go to end reboot reboot and when I go into recovery then get an error shown in Fig.
Sorry for my bad english.
If you want to unlock your bootloader to flash custom ROMs or a custom recovery, then I would suggest you to s-off your sensation since the HTC Dev unlock won't work.
The s-off method by ganeshp is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26280760
Read the thread carefully, and if you need the windows version for juonuput s-off then shoot me a PM and ask me for it. Recovery.io only supports Linux (as for now)
You can also install Ubuntu on your PC to use the Linux version.

Hmm... so you can't boot your phone. In that case, I would run a RUU, and then s-off...
Here's the RUU info and downloads: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26541170

I think for unlocking bootloader from HTC dev u needs to b on completely stock , mean stock Rom , stock recovery
But u r using custom recovery , that's y it hangs when u select yes
Btw u can run ruu for complete stock , run ics version of ruu with same cid
I think this is a only option for u

i agree ruu.exe is the only option
but can you have custom recovery when you are on S-ON and locked bootloader?
Just install a Ruu for your Sen. And retry unlock bootloader and s-off
