[Q] Galaxy Ace The End 4.0 Rom issue

Hi,
I got some trouble, no program can unlock the keyguard on my Ace.
I use Tasker with Secure Settings, and stuck on a job, when the phone should awake itself and unlock the keyguard (aka "slide to unlock" screen), but nothing happens.
Also tried other programs, such like No Lock app, with fail.
In conclusion I think is something wrong with this rom,
I hope for some help if anybody sees this, who know that rom.
Notify the developer maybe or sg...

Hi, it probably is the dalvik vm error, it has been corrected in vo-1's 26 march rom. I don't have time to update the end rom , so I suggest you use his rom or another of the newer roms based on vo-1. You can probably get away without wiping data since they are the same base.

workaround
I've found a nice workaround, and therefor I can keep my beloved The End rom.
Just had to check the unlock with Menu button option in CM settings, then simulate the keypress with Tasker. Works like a charm.
In every other aspect this rom is perfect for me so far, I don't want to change it.

[Q] Disabling newb startup tips

When installing a new rom and going through the initial boot, is there a quick setting to remove all the nagging start tips that ask you to enable motion and tips like "Swipe across the screen to unlock"?

Good question as that annoys me too. I think if you go to settings right away and disable motion it will suppress those (not certain on this). I don't know of a fix for the" swipe for unlock" type messages though. :/

I guess there is no quick way to disable all the tips as I'm sure all devs would insert it into their roms. But if there is a way to change one setting instead of getting nagged 15 times, it would be great to know about it!

[CM11][LG G2] How to disable the Knock On feature

I've looked everywhere for an answer to this, but so far to no avail. Is there a way to manually disable this Knock On feature included in the stock software? I'm running CyanogenMod 11 nightlies and it causes my phone to crash 50% of the time and gets annoying after a while. I looked through all the system files on the phone and can't even find a pointer. Be as complicated as you want with your answer. Thanks.
P.S. This is not a new problem with CM11. Did this with 10.2 as well.

On the stock software its easy !! Go to configurations > general > gesture > on/off screen (its the first option) !!

If your still trying to figure it out i found it after about 3 hours of searching its located in settings under display and lights just uncheck "double tap to wake"

Disable Knock on / Knock Off
Go to settings, device, display and lights, and uncheck double tap to wake. Then settings , personalization, Interface, Status bar, and uncheck double tap to sleep..

Is there a way to disable knock on during calls only? My face keeps unlocking my phone and apps are opened or settings changed. It's annoying.

Found a FIX disable Tap 2 Wake/ Knock code
Hi all, I have a LG F220K (LG Optimus GK). :silly:
And I'm running a modified version of LG G2 CM11 (currently on M6) on my mobile.
After flashing CM11 ROM I figured that the option to deactivate the Tap to wake/ Knock code feature is not available in the Settings menu itself.
The Tap wake function is something I hate as it turns on display and press buttons during calls, so somehow I was lost with all the forums having only questions yet no answers...
This is How I sorted it!!! (Sorry, I am not allowed to post images or links as a newbie)
1. Please install Kernel Tweaker from the play market (It's free).
2. Open the Kernel Tweaker, access the main menu of the app by tapping the top left hand corner.
3. Browse through to Kernel (Under Kernel Params) tap open.
4. You will see that it has two options Under Kernel Tweaks "Double Tap 2 wake" and "Sweep 2 Wake", there will be two ticked boxes.
5. Untick both boxes and exit!!!
Now you can tap on screen like no tomorrow but Tap to Wake/ Knock code is no more... :highfive:

Me as well! I hate Knock-On as it always turns on the screen in my pocket.
I tried Kernel Tweaker but there arent any options under Kernel Tweaks for me to choose from. Im running C-Rom 7.1 which is CM based I believe.
Is there an .apk or sys file I can disable? What kind of file and what is the name of the file/code that is responsible for Knock-On?

You can probably try with "G2 Tweaksbox", it uses the xposed framework and has many tweaks available... hope this helps

Question Does the screen-off unlock fingerprint icon always stays on?

Recently, I've experienced the fingerprint icon always turning on when screen off. It should be turn off after some time until I raise my phone. It happen last night and I just realise it. I really don't know how is this happen. Even after formatting my phone, it still does that. Can someone confirm this again with your fingerprint setting and let me know the interaction when you choose "screen-off unlock" to "Show fingerprint icon". Thank you in advance.

there is an option to let it stay in locked screen, i had it too and turned it somehow off.

yes I know they have that function to turn it off. But when choosing to turn it on, it should be gone from the screen until making the device detects movement like picking up the phone.

I dont remmeber how but after changing top another region repeatedly it fix by itself. You couild try. Maybe thats the issue with the rom.

It actually got fixed after updating, what rom you ended up using and liked the most?

Question Does anyone have LockScreen Notifications?

Hello,
I have tried every option to show the Notifications on the LockScreen either with Details or only the icon with no success!!!!!
Is it designed that way? I didn't think so but this is what I am finding out
One more thing,
When I pause the song/podcast via my Wireless headphones, I need to unlock the device so the audio will continue after i press play?
Is it the same issue? that once the screen is locked the device basically is cut off?

Hmm kinda weird what music player are you using that it won't show on your lockscreen for me Spotify works fine on my lockscreen.

I use Podcasts Addict and Spotify as well,
But both of them and ALL ALL other applications are not showing.
PS: I noticed that the Screen Lights up when I receive anything but it doesn't show up;
I need to Unlock the device to see from which application and what the details of it.

Have you tried this >> Settings >> notification and statusbar. You can find there the setting for notification on the lockscreen.

It seems that my settings page is different from yours;
I don't have the "Advanced Settings" also Notifications on LockScreen is Already Enabled.
PS: I am on the Chinese Rom, Version 2.45.

Oh oke i'm on global rom V4.12. maybe someone on Reddit can help you?
It this the first time that you can't see the notification or is it since you bought the phone?

Since I got it, it's been the same as this; a VERY BAD experience that I am having.
Otherwise, the device is great.
Unfortunately, i can't install the Global Version!

Looks like this time they locked people out of installing the global ROM.

Any One have an Idea About this? And I am the only one with Chinese ROM that facing this issue?
