ROM that supports shutdown animations? - Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

I couldn't find a thread on this, If there is one forgive my ignorance.
I'm running Cyanogenmod 10 Nightlies with the stock kernel and while customizing my phone I wanted to change the boot/shutdown animations. It was easy changing the boot animations, but when I went to change the shutdown animation it wasn't so easy.
Every thread supplies a file and says "it's easy" they tell me to put the file /system/media/shutdown but I've tried that so many times today and it just doesn't work!! Lol I finally came to the conclusion the Cyanogenmod doesn't support shutdown animations (or maybe I really am doing something wrong)
In any event does anyone know any ROMS or kernels for our phone that support shutdown animations? I would love to have on (I even found one to match my boot animation!)

Those exist????

"Boot Animations work with any rom running a kernel that supports custom Boot Animations.
Shutdown Animations work on Eclipse 1.4 and 2.0, TweakStock 1.4, Tweaked 1.5 and 2.0 and InfinityROM"
I'm not entirely sure if we have any of those are on our phone, you would probably know better than I would

If my memory is functional, the above listed ROMS are Tweaked (TW) Stock ROMS, but still mainly stock..
What I DO know is that our CM 9/10 ROMS don't support shut down animations, I think it has something to with he kernel..

When I feel its stable. Soon.
Sounds good, can't wait to try it out once it's stable.
What can we expect in this rom? Or more specifically, what'll make it different from the others already released?

I think you can Enable boot sounds in almost any roms... My g2x is running CM7 nightly 221 and in the beginning it did int have any but then i Flashed in Morfic's Trinity T15 kernal and now my phone has boot sounds... I prefer 2.3.7 based roms so there you go
MIUI
MIUI is by far the easiest to change the boot sound. just go into the themes, edit current theme, then change the Boot Audio.

No, it doesn't have all the customizing that Tweaked does, yet. But from what I remember in the past it's a solid ROM and will get some features. It's something to get you up to FP8 until Tweaked comes out if you want to be on a custom ROM.

[Q] Porting MIUI v5

Heya guys! I'm a little new to this but I've been a pretty decent member of XDA and most importantly, like many of us here, a flashaholic. I'm not a dev at all nor do I currently have any abilities, skills or anything to be called one. Anyways, onto topic, I've been trying to port MIUI v5 to the skyrocket because it is one sexy beast from what I can see. Of course, with no skills whatsoever, it's been a very difficult task. I've only been searching and using guides here and there only to run into a wall because there isn't a guide for v5, or at least not yet.
The first time I tried to port it, it wouldn't boot at all and would be stuck at an unresponsive black screen after the samsung logo after powering it on.
However, this made me research a little bit more and I made a second port using the Galaxy Nexus MIUI rom from the official site and using CM 10.1 nightly 20130501. I only managed to make it go to the MIUI boot logo screen and it's stuck there now with no progress and I am now confused. Lol, so uhm... any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated please? I'm willing to learn and would appreciate any help. In the mean time, I'll also continue to research. Thank You!
I believe Team Rookie would be able to help with that, they are in the Development section.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727.
You shouldn't use cm 10.1 to port miui v5, miui v5 is still android 4.1.2 based whereas cm 10.1 is 4.2.2 and on top of that the nightly builds are rather unstable right now. You should use a cm 10 stable build. I have been trying to port the ROM myself and only get as far as the boot animation, but i can tell you mixing bases probably won't work.....

Yes haha I realized after further research in that miui v5 was actually 4.1.2. I am still trying to port it now and still to no avail and only stuck at the boot screen. Perhaps I should learn how to modify the framework. I'm pretty sure that's the only possible problem. But of course I wouldn't know much of where the problem lies xD

The miui script has a bunch of aroma stuff in it. There's also a bunch of additional folders in the miui rom. So I'm debating which script to edit, the miui or the cm10. The miui has a bunch of mccblk's in it though that scare me. I know I have to at least change those to match the i727 but after that I'm not sure what's going to happen.

As far as I know the only way to hard brick one of these phones is to flash a kernel from another device. Soft bricks are easy fixes as long as you know how to use Odin and in some cases all you have to do is reboot to recovery and flag another ROM. I am still stuck at the boot screen as well and what I've added to the updater-script were also a few things for the xbin and su and busybox. Since v5 doesn't have an 'invoke-as' I was a little stuck there as well. And to think I was a little happy that it managed to flash and go to the boot screen successfully. Looks like there is a lot more things to do lol

I was hoping no one would ask that I've been piece mealing it and I don't remember all the steps. The miui rom structure is quite a bit different then most. I haven't decompiled any apks though, just putting the right pieces in the right places. A lot more luck than skill. I've also lost the ability to see my external sd card with the computer either thru usb or mounting in recovery. Root explorer still sees it though. Don't know what that's all about.
