There's directions on flashing to Jb in almost every ROM thread. Also if you search for it, you'll definitely find it. When I started flashing roms about a yr ago, I just searched and found out how to do it, as did many others I'm sure.

[Q] Backed up ROM on Vibrant 3G installed on Vibrant 4G?

My husband has a Samsung Vibrant 3G, I rooted it and installed MIUI-NB_1.12.2_signed a few days ago and he really likes it. He just bought a used Samsung Vibrant 4G with the FFC on Craigslist today. Our question is if I make a ROM Manager backup of the current ROM on the 3G, can I install it on the 4G or is the hardware so different that it is impossible? Thanks for any feedback !!
Vibrant ain't sgs4g. Vibrant roms (nitpickers) brick sgs4g, ROM manager shouldn't allow flash work on sgs4g... ROM manager issue with sgs4g too.
Treat both phones/roms separately...

You did the right thing by asking first. If you need more help just go ahead and ask in this thread, plenty of people willing to help others who ask the right questions.
OK, we have decided to leave the OS virgin for now, no root and no custom ROM Maybe later we'll root at least. Thanks for the feedback and keep up the GREAT WORK !!

So I know for future reference, what is the easiest and best application to root the 4G? I have quite a few downloaded when I rooted my husband's Vibrant 3G, such as SuperOneClick and Galaxy S One Click Root All Models. Which one do you recommend?
Depends if your on froyo or GB
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
It's Froyo 2.2.1 It's probably a much better thing than being on Gingerbread to root, right? It's a PAIN in the badonkadonk to downgrade via ADB, been there done that twice with the MyTouch 4G's Successfully too, it was a huge learning curve though LOL
Eh it's the same really.just the method differ. For froyo you can find super one click 1.9 and use the PS nueter (sp?) Option just like you did with the vibrant.
are you planning on cwm recovery?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
yes, I know CWM pretty well since I started rooting MyTouch 4G's a couple of months ago, I find it easy to use and never had any problems on those particular phones. But then, the MyTouch 4G's are HTC phones, this is a Samsung and a completely different kind of breed If you have anything better and safer for rooting the Samsung Galaxy S 4G's, I'm all ears
You could hit the GB upgrade, root, and cwm all in one flash with my one click guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422824

Tell him it's ok that his phone isn't as good as yours/ours. Just once for me
If you decide on updating, 2.3.6 version is really smooth. There's a few ROMs around, just read up and follow any/all directions.

Seriously dude you need to chill, or you can politely ask a mod to move it to q&a. This rudeness is not constructive nor is it helpful to anyone.

Still no sights of any Developer who might be interested in porting a ROM from Xoom 2. or it is not possible at all.
Have searched XDA and google.. cant seem to find anything relevant
Please redirect me if any information

The home forum for your device is Here. You can check the general section for guides and tutorials that may help you decide which bloatware to get rid of...and as dannyboy_uk12 noted, there should be many optimized stock based ROMs in the Development forum Here.
