[Q] What in my software is keeping any gamepad from working? - Asus Transformer TF700

I bought a logitech F310 gamepad today, after hearing so many good reviews on it with this specific device. I have tried using the gamepad with games and I just end up spinning in circles, or when i try to configure, only the left and right on the DPAD work. When i go into Joy2Touch, it recognizes the bits of every single movement, and tells me everything about what i am doing and how i am doing it. It also recognizes the device and its model. Then when i go into JoystickTests, nothing at all is registered. I ended up just giving up and going to play some PCSX ps1 emulator, and the controller works almost perfectly fine (except for the fact that ab/xy are switched and i can't switch them back)
UPDATE: Through some appwork on JoyCenter, I have gotten almost every control to work, except that I always have both joysticks turned ALL the way up and to the side all of the time when ingame on any app except in an emulator. AB/XY are still swiched in my PS1 emulator, have not tried others and will keep it updated.
UPDATE: Something that I have noticed in JoyCenter is that when I load up the driver, I see that the dots for the joysticks for all the way left and all the way up are ALWAYS on, as well as two unknown dots, no matter how I calibrate or try to fix. This seems to be the only problem by now, but whether or not I have JoyCenter running or what controller (between stock gamestop tab controller and f310 Logitech, as well as a generic ps3 controller) So I have narrowed it down to something in the tablet's bios or base software hat is glitching up my USB/Bluetooth control input. Could I have a lemon?
I am running the latest CM with its stock kernel. I have also tried JB and PA with their stock kernels, in the latest versions as well. I am completely lost and stumped, and if anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Trouble bt pairing to my PS3 Sixaxis controller

Hi everyone. I really tried to do my due diligence on this before I posted. Everything I've read seems to indicate that ICS can pair PS3 controllers natively, with no need for the Sixaxis Android app, and no need for rooting. But I simply have no succeeded in doing so. I was trying with an older controller from the first generation of PS3s, and though that perhaps it was too old, so I went out and dropped $60 on a new official Sony Sixaxis Dual Shock 3, and I'm still have no luck. I have tried plugging the controller in by USB to the dock first, because some people seemed to indicate that that would help the two devices pair better. And while plugged in by USB, it works fine, I can map the buttons in emulators and use them with no problem. But when I unplug the control pad, hit the Sony button in the middle, and let the TF700 search for devices, it never finds my controller. It's found a Wiimote with no problem, but then of course it wants a pin, and that's its own problem. It's even found my Xperia Play on bluetooth, so I know it's not the bluetooth hardware. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Sixaxis obviously won't work since there's no root method. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is in fact a root method (look for debugfs, don't have the link handy), I use sixaxis and have my PS3 controller paired to my Infinity the day I got it.
I was able to use my PS3 Sixaxis controller on my TF101 with ICS (via bluetooth), but not on the TF700 for some reason.... It only seems to work while cabled (with the TF101, after using it for a minute as a "wired" controller, it automatically paired itself via bluetooth - after the first minute, you didn't need the cable anymore... Not sure why it doesn't work on the TF700. Strange...

It seems like (for whatever reason) Asus did not include the drivers for Ps3 controller in TF700. On my Prime and OG TF, it would automatically pair after using it once over USB. Not a big issues though as I had already purchased Sixxas app.
SixAxis app works great to connect the PS3 controller to the device, but it does *not* satisfy all requirements that the built-in drivers that other tablets and CM9 does. For example, I am an OnLive subscriber and the PS3 controller does not work whatsoever with SixAxis. However, I can plug it in via USB, or use a Xbox360 controller and they work great. This isn't a HUGE issue at the moment, but I did have dreams of having multiple Ps3 controllers and plugging the 700 in to my 60" on occasion. I have also found that when using the PS3 controller even with SixAxis' gamepad emulation, it often doesn't allow the right analog stick to function. At the moment, this is working much worse than on my TF101 w/ CM9 on it.

I wish I could run OnLive here in my country, because as far as I can tell, the app should behave exactly the same with OnLive when the 'Preferences->Gamepad Settings->Enable Gamepad' option is enabled. Evidently there are some differences that are causing issues. I'm not sure what problem you're having with the right analog stick, but you should ensure that you don't have any touch profiles enabled when in native gamepad mode, as they will override the gamepad inputs.
Can we expect Asus to resolve this (Bluetooth built-in connection) along with JB?

Don't get your hopes up.
About the only "viable" way I could see ASUS doing this would be if they made and marketed their OWN controller that could also be used with teh PS3 systems. But that would be still a limited market and would not be financially viable for them.
Well I thought I let you guys know pairing PS3 via the dock is working Idk if it's jellybean or clean room 2.3 feature but I have out working so far, check it out

Works also with stock JB.
Confirmed JB works
Just confirming that the JB update includes the drivers to use the SIXAXIS controller. I just got my TF700 and it wouldn't even detect the controller in ICS in the bluetooth menu, but it did respond when it was plugged in via USB.
Just updated to JB and plugged in the controller. As soon as I turned it on it added the controller to the paired devices list in the bluetooth menu and now it works flawlessly!
Cheers

[Q] XBOX Controller - Success?

Hi!
So I've managed to connect a USB reciever (made for PCS) to the tablet USB port and got my controller working on the tablet. Literally, working. Buttons are responding and it controls everything.
However, trying to play GTA Vice City has proven futile. It appears the controller is constantly transmitting a "right camera movement" to the tablet making it "turn around the character". No matter what I tried, it appears to simply be "jammed" with this.
Since no software was installed, and the controller is basically working with builtin drivers, I was wondering whether someone tried to do the same, had the same issues and found a work around?
I had the same issue. This is a known problem, described in several topics. If your Transformer is rooted, the solution is provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792531. It's for Nexus, but works for Transformers.
For non-rooted devices, I'm afraid there is no solution.

[Q] How to set up an xbox 360 wired controller via OTC?

I've searched all the forums, as well as the web, and followed every bit of advice and / or instructions I could find on the issue, but no matter what I attempt to do I can't get any games to work with the xbox 360 controller. Anyone have any idea how to get this to work with the skyrocket via an OTC cable?
More Details:
When I first plugged it in, the device seemed to recognize the controller (the lights on the controller would start flashing, the phone would give a message saying that a usb device is connected - but no games (I used emulators as well as games that are supposed to specifically support playing with an xbox controller, like GTA 3) were able to recognize or use the controller. Since then I've downloaded and installed a few different files on my phone to try to get the controller to work (.kl and .kcm files) as well as the app USB/BT Joystick Center 6 (which recognizes the controller and seems to work when I'm setting it up, but games are still unable to recognize the controller). I'm completely out of ideas of what to do or what the problem could be, so if anyone's had success with this or has an idea how this could be done, that would be fantastic. Thanks!

Can't get back button on Xbox 360 controller to work via OTG cable.

So, I have a weird issue, I have a xbox 360 controller working through OTG so I can stream games from my PC with limelight. All of it works perfectly except for the back button, not a massive deal but it's pretty important in some games. I tried googling around and didn't really find any relevant results so I was hoping someone could help me figure out the issue. I've already ruled out it's not the cable or the controller because plugging it into a Samsung galaxy tab 4 results in every button working perfectly. I'm currently rooted and running the latest build of the Mahdi ROM with stock kernel.
