[Q] How to change app permissions - Galaxy Note 10.1 Themes and Apps

I used ES file explorer in the past, but recent updates to the app have made it so I can't figure out how to adjust the app permissions. Does anyone know of another program to do this?

Hi, for example I use LBE Security (found on xda the english version) and Xprivacy on Xposed framework (you can find it on general android forum!)

Got this almost sorted need help :)

Ok so I got the lenovo s880i googlefied. All is syncing and I have cleaned all the crap from lenovo on it. Now, I have some more questions : How can I find the system APK for system languages? I wang to add some european languages. It is android 4.0.4 ICS. I installed GO desktop too, wich is a way better launcher/desktop than the crap lebovo default. How can I make it the default system launcher ? Will it work if I just place the apk in to system/app and erase the original desktop? Or should I link it to the system somehow? Then finally I would like to replace the stock phone dial module for the original ICS one. Is that possible or it's a compiled part instead of an apk?
Many thanks!!

For the system apk's why don't you try with titanium backup, it has this as a feature, it works fine (tried only twice, with no issues whatsoever )

Hey thanks to those responding ! I know already that you can do that with titanium. I prefer to do that manually though, as I alredy know the file system. Can somebody experienced with coding and more knowledge abou the system internals come five a hand here?

[q ]Android manifest. Xml

Is there a app /way to edit out Android manifest. Xml on phone?
The farthest I've come with is viewing the manifest.xml with fx file explorer /root explorer?
All I see in the rest of file managers /browsers are just question marks ??? ??
Hope this won't be another blank thread.
Hurrah to the first reply

With this https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5tb2Jpc3lzdGVtcy5vZmZpY2UiXQ..
No issues to view the manifest.xml, just from the start you'll have to select 'unicode (UTF-8)' for encoding, if you get full/trial version there shouldn't be a problem to edit this files
Just an free alternative method,I found out recently :
You can use hex editor(free app on play) to edit out manifest.xml to remove permissions, if that's your aim. For example, change e in I.N.T.E.R.N.E.T to I.N.T.F.R.N.E.T
simple.
Although my aim was to remove shared user from Walkman, which isn't easy to do by this method

[app] [flash] CWM flashable MX player

Dear friend
First of all i make you clear that this is not my work I signed the app. Using cert signer and made it flashable zip so that you can install MX player using CWM,
The advantage is that you need not to reinstall the app every time after resetting your phone
Like system app. It will remain in your phone after wiping and resetting your phone too
If you ain't like this app then you can remove it by using Root App Remover which is available in playstore
The link to flashable MX player is
https://app.box.com/s/i357orilspobxqigqhb4
Thanks
Have a good day

Nice work, but wouldn't it be possible by simply copying the api to system /apps folder using root explorer ? Or simply adding to the Rom before flashing ?
I am not sure but as far as I think you need to sign the flashable zip, by just shifting to system/app using es file manager and changing permission to rw-r-r won't work as expected, and I am talking about stock rom

It doesn't need to be downloaded through xposed installer, the reverse tethering app will install it itself
Just in case somebody needs to know...

Use a file explorer
I recommend ES file explorer
1 . Open es file explorer
2 . Grant root access
3 . Change browse permission through root menu
4 . Goto root /system/app menu and delete which app you want
Remember, thing what you are doing before deleting it .
Click to collapse
5 . Reboot device (necessary for some apps )
You successfully deleted a system app
