Hello dear, I have T959W was hanging on Sam Logo (no recovery just download mode). I flashed it by flash file which it mentioned here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956025 [ROM][HEIMDALL] Package For T959W Wind/Mobilicity Canadian Users . phone opened normal but there was no Base band and imie null.
Please if any one have the original flash gimme a link.
Thanks in advance
There is no odin pack for the "W" model, nor do you want to try to flash a "V" model odin pack.
I state clearly in my instructions several times that you need to flash a modem to get your baseband back. After the 1 click package flash, you still need to boot to CWM and flash a modem.

How can i check the firmware version if my phone is stuck on samsung logo. I cannot dial *#1234#, and was wondering if there was any other way to tell. I bought the phone off ebay, and it worked for a while. Now the phone gets stuck on the samsung logo, so i can't dial that number.
If you are hung up with the boot loop, it's difficult that you'd able to know the firmware.
I suggest flashing a stable stock ROM via Odin.
Go for either xxkpq or,ddlf2.
Detailed procedure to install can be found on the stickies of Android development section.(you'd have to install pit file, then xxkpe, then either xxkpq or ddlf2)
But if you still have warranty left, and want to still retain it, try to see if you can figure from the box or sticker under the battery, the county or region it was made for.
And flash firmware accordingly.
You can find the list of firmware (region specific) on the stickies on development section, with download links.

No, you can't directly flash ddlf2 directly if you need a clean install.
As ddlf2 is a value pack, you'd need to install xxkpe first, add it has all the components of gingerbread, viz. Bootloader, modem, csc, kernel, pda, param, system etc.
I request you to follow this order.
Latona.pit from xxkpe, then xxkpe, then ddlf2, then appropriate cf root kernel for ddlf2.

If you don't need a clean install, and you are on any gingerbread version, you can flash ddlf2 without any issues.
But it's just recommended to go for a clean install to avoid future problems.

Hi,
I´m a neewbie to Samsung. My phone is a S6 SM-G920F, Baseband G920FXXU1AOCW
I came form an HTC and I´ve seen that flashing things are very different. So here are my questions:
1. I think, my bootloader is unlocked but I didin´t know for sure. So how can I check this?
(My HTV showed me this by using fastboot, didn´t know if there is fastboot with Samsung and how to start it - only know the download-mode and how to enter TWRP recovery)
2. Flashing firmware via Odin (i. e. from sammobile.com) means to loose my root again, right?
3. If I loose root, where do I get custom Firmwares and how do I flash them (if this is possible)?
4. If not, is it enough to flash bootloader and modem through Odin?
All answers are appreciated. Thanks in advanced.
Maybe someone can link me to an step to step instruction...
Fastboot is android doesn't matter who makes the phone.
If you flash a rom from sammobile then you will go to whichever stock you pick.
Other ROMs are available here. The phone is new. There aren't many yet. Cyanogen mod isn't available yet.
Root is available by flashing cfautoroot with Odin. You will need to get the specific one.
You can replace the recovery by flashing twrp team win recovery project with Odin.
You can flash boot loader and modem. Make sure you get the right region. The modem frequencies are different in different places.
You may find flashing a whole ROM even stock will fail. This is because the partitions are not the same size for all s6 stock ROMs. Don't ask me why. You can open the tar find which file stopped the flash delete it from the tar and flash again.

Thanks for answering. My questions had an other intention, I think.
My S6 is already rooted and I have a custom recovery (TWRP) :good:
I would like to know if you have to flash a whole firmware or only bootloader/modem? Because I didn´t seen a post here for a full firmware yet.
I am not familiar with the differences between htc whole firmware and samsung bootloader/modem
Actually I am on Firmware G920FXXU1AOCW. But there are newer ones like XXU1AOE3 or XXU1AOE4.
In the days of my htc you couldn´t flash only bootloader or modem, you had to flash a whole firmware (like radio, drivers, bootloader, modem etc.)
Flashing only modem and bootloader will it update i. e. touchscreen drivers? If not, where do I get this ones? You know, because of root I don´t get OTA´s anymore...
The modem just controls how your phone hardware connects to carrier towers etc.
The boot loader is a tiny thing that tells the processor where and how to load the OS.
The software for pretty much everything is in /system.
Many of these releases are the same software, region specific. The dates are fairly unimportant for the same version number. They generally reference the time when they were uploaded by someone. Not that they have updates and fixes.
Just wanted to know can I change my phone logo MetroPCS to say T-mobile with all the T-mobile add on. I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 by MetroPCS
please help i accidently flashed the bootmodem.zip from weta audiophile site in BL section of odin.
now trying to flash stock firmware faills. i cant enter recovery no matter what i do. i tried latest trwp in odin/ with and without unikernel/ iflashed bootmodem.zip correctly in AP section of odin. I Still cannot flash stock firmware. it says W REV Check Failed device 3 binary 2. all the time. what can i do ? i can only enter dl mode and cant turn off the device. in 60 min i gotta go to work . and sammobile site decided to turn bad gateway 502 while i was allmost finnished downloading latest firmware.
and yes sammobile site is still down.
im not sure this help, but try downloading a bootloader from any of ROM threads and flash it to your mobile.
So,
Today I flashed the UK BTU firmware (G920FXXU3COI9). However, when I extracted the file it had 4 files for AP, BL, CP AND CSC so I used them all. However, now I can't go back to my previous firmware (G920FXXU2COH5) because when I try flashing it with Odin it says on the phone: sw rev check fail.
I want to go back to this firmware because I have a Nandroid backup with all my stuff and it doesn't work when i try to restore it on the new firmware. Can you help me with the right file to flash? Do I need the CSC file of the old firmware as well? Can you help me please?

Hey guys I need some help please. I am a bit of a noob and was trying to flash the PartCyborgRom using the BootLoopEdition firmware onto my originally G955U (which I had flashed with the G955U1 FW a while ago). And after I flashed the PartCyborgRom AP file through Odin, nothing happened as in the instructions, so I tried resetting the phone and continued to next step (not a good idea on my part) then I loaded the BL file and midway through that Odin gave me a "FAIL!" and the phone is stuck on Download Mode with the following error "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [system]Fused 2 > Binary 1".
I tried going back to stock and flashing all of the stock fw through Odin, but anytime I try to flash anything I get that same error. If I try to reboot the phone normally it tries to upgrade system but looks like nothing is on the phone anymore and is on bootloop. I am not sure what to do, did I **** up really bad and brick my phone?
I can't even get back into Recovery mode! It simply goes on a boot loop where it doesn't find anything in the system.
PS. when I tried to flash the PartCyborgRom my S8+ was on the latest G955U1 fw.

You are trying to flash old firmware. It sounds like you are already on firmware with the v2 bootloader and you're trying to flash firmware with rhe v1 bootloader. You need a stock firmware that has a 2 before the last four digits of the firmware name.
Firmware
It should be all well and good flashing stock firmware with the number 2, but I can't find any on XDA and any links outside either fail or try to make you pay because it's over 2GB... If anyone has a copy and space on their google drive, I'd be very grateful for a valid download link!

Try sammobile.com.
Free download of the latest firmwares but might be a little slow.
