Noob with a New Note! Please Recommend 100% FREE Apps & Themes!

Finally I have bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note!
Never paid so much money for a device before and at first touch I love it!
As I saw the video when I registered here I realized that I really was a Noob with a New Note!
And yes certainly I want to make the best of it.
As a writer, the capability to quickly jot down is something invaluable and that is exactly what the NOTE does! Awesome!
Frankly, after buying the device I do not have the money to buy any apps for some time and hence this thread to request you to share your experience with absolutely FREE apps and themes. Preferably, ones which do not have ads as well.
Could you please recommend FREE Apps & Themes which you have enjoyed?
For starters, I have figured that one needs a good launcher app.
Could you suggest one?
Having been to the Android Market I have downloaded and installed two apps which I liked a lot!
1. Opera Browser
2. Google Sky Map
Look forward to putting loads of apps and look forward to making loads of NOTEworthy friends too!

Than you are a newbie to android as well, otherwise,you may already have experience with what kind of apps you like/need.
Personaly, I just use the stock launcher, nothing too wrong with it.
I'd advice to install ClockWorkMod, to easily flash different roms as they are tweaked and optimized to give more speed and fluidness.

Yes am a newbie to android as well and gradually getting accustomed to it. Actually have no idea about flashing roms either but would love to learn soon with the help of seniors like yourself!

This is how the google play store beta works, you have to join the community and only then you will have access to download the app, if you click the link posted there it will give you an error until you join in..

is it possible to run this on a Android Headunit with USB Camera support ?

with the increase of Android Head Units 4GB 32GB 9 cores this application would be a great add.
The view itself could be strip or hidden and based on events send warnings to the screen.

We are a group of Television followers. We always like to watch the English shows and movies in TV. But we faced the most difficulty in finding what we wanted to watch and the guide or schedule provided by the DTHs in India were not helping us. We had to check the titles with IMDB or TVDB for ratings and reviews to know weather it is worth wasting the time or not watching it. So to overcome this problematic situation we came up with an idea of making Watchr where we can easily get the title of the movies that will telecast in channels and easily see the rating, runtime, year released etc to know that this is the movie we want to watch.
We would like to share this app to all others like us who watch English Movies in India and would like to get the movie info easily on their smart phone. This app gives you the schedule of many movie channels of India at glance so you can know which movie is worth watching. This app also shows you the top 5 rated movies of the day from across various channels so you can decide which movie to watch today.
This app is in Alpha version, so if you face any problems or bugs report us here and we will try to fix to soon.
If you want any other feature in this app then reply it here and we will try to implement it soon.

Hello All,
We are sorry for the late update, we were fixing up major issues in our data collecting servers side!
In this version we have changed many thing around. Now you can see what movies are now playing in each channel directly from the channel screen.
New Reminder feature to let the app remind you to watch a movie. Click the clock icon in the channel schedule. The movies which are already telecasted will have a disabled clock.
New Settings menu to change some settings.

Update 0.20 Alpha

We are sorry for the delay. Our system took a lot of time for repairing but we have made a lot of improvements to the app
First of all we really value you feedback so the app now has the option to send feedbacks to us (please do send us your feedback about the app. We would really appreciate it). You can use it to report bugs or problem.
The data is now stored locally, so no need to be online to check schedule and others.
Reminder feature is improved, you can see all the reminders in a list and can just swipe them away to remove the reminders. When you add a Reminder then you will get a notification before 5 mins of movie's starting time.
