That's old, get 6.0.3.3
How, I here you ask?
From jenkins on either of the latest nightlies pages, below the actual Rom zip download you will see a recovery.img (yes they publish a cwm recovery with every nightly if not already noticed.)
Download it!
Now using that recovery zip of 6.0.2.8 you've just posted above, replace the recovery.img in that zip with the one you just downloaded from jenkins.
That simple.
Flash your moded zip file from within recovery.
Goto Advanced, Reboot into recovery, to ensure the recovery did indeed flash correctly and that you've subsequently bumped up from 6.0.2.8 to 6.0.3.3 (unless 6.0.3.3 has been superseded by an even newer version.)

I'd done so, but 6.0.3.3 didn't have the ability to flash from an external sd card, so I went with this one.
fstab changed in 4.3, CWM still hasn't updated yet to support external sd, I think

Are there any charging issues? Other than usb charging. They kept me away from the 3.4 kernel previously.
Charger issues all fixed, except USB is stuck at 100mA instead of the normal 500mA. Normal AC/dumb/fast chargers are unaffected.

One note about Android 4.3, it requires selinux, which is a security auditing policy. We're working on properly implementing those. In the meantime, you could delete /system/bin/auditd to prevent it from trying and failing to enforce the policies constantly (battery drain)

Hello.
I just flashed this rom.
Somehow, I do not get prompted for root whenever an app requesting root is launched. It just fails saying it needs root without giving me the possibility to enable root.
Thoughts?
Edit :
Never mind, I managed to enable it by turning on developer mode by tapping repeatedly on the build number in the about menu.

CM does have an official source for the Galaxy S Relay 4G. It would be nice to see a official stable build of CM 10.2.
CM info page: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Apexqtmo_Info
Source Repositories:
Device: http://www.github.com/cyanogenmod/android_device_samsung_apexqtmo
Kernel: http://www.github.com/cyanogenmod/android_kernel_samsung_d2
I have not yet tested this or rooted my phone. I would once there is a stable version. Just thought I would let you know where to get the official source code from and maybe if your a dev you could help make it stable.

Well to put it politely, the person you are questioning above is a leading member of team ApexQ who have collectively managed to get those CM sources in to the CM tree you listed with there hard work & determination.
Read the threads and become familiar with your device & the team behind the developments for our device.
Those CM sources didn't get there on there own
You will stumble across stable Roms, not least CM10.1 thread, they are stable and kick the [email protected] out of the stock touchwiz you are currently running.

We should get CM10 as soon as CM10 nighties start. Pawitp already said that all the sources for the Captivate are in place, but he doesn't have time to compile a test build (there is a test build for the i9000 along with a thread on the i9000 forum). If all the sources are in place, it should be possible to compile from source. The kernel itself may also have to be compiled from source independently. Of course if you are able to compile the kernel from source, you can use the i9000 CM10 build and do a kernel swap.
Edit: It is important to note that a CM9 kernel will not work for a swap. THS has changed the partitioning for CM10 on the SGS devices. the /system partition from CM7/9 is not large enough for Jelly Bean, so the /datadata partition has been removed and the space has been split between /system and /cache. This means that performance for loading applications may not be as good as CM9 (at least until the cache builds up). For more details, look in pawitp's i9000 CM10 thread.
has anyone tried yet? I flashed it and it completely wiped my phone... the settings->about doesn't even say RC2.... i'm going to hold off... i think this was a test build debugger. is it just me?

dman !!! thought you was rocking the Note ?
I would recommend that you put information such as Changelog, Installation instructions, Bug tracking, Rules, etc. Because this thread is probably going to be closed if it consists only of a simple link.
Looks good tho
Doesn't seem like a good idea to post a link in the development section, of other people's work. You are doing good by informing people about the RC, but don't you think this should be in General Section.
Description and Disclaimer:
This is an Alpha version of CM9 (Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4).
There is very very limited support for this as we are currently working towards Jellybean here
Myself and anyone else working on the unofficial CyanogenMod ports will not be able to promise that this won't make your phone explode into puppies, unicorns and rainbows.....or a violent fireball. You are accepting this risk by continuing forth.
Working:
Multitouch *NEW*
USB Tethering *NEW*
Bluetooth
Notification LED
Wifi Hotspot
Auto-Brightness
Voice / Data
SMS/MMS
Audio
WiFi
NFC / Android Beam
App Switch button = Menu
Auto-Rotation
Proximity sensor
Camera (Still shots and Zero Shutter Lag)
Video Camera (works about 85-90% of the time. The other 10-15% you get a garbled video output)
Not working:
Video Camera is flaky.
Panorama Camera images.
Installation Instructions:
Download the latest CM9 .zip file from here.
Download ICS Google Apps from here.
Reboot into CWM or TWRP recovery.
Factory Data reset. (MUST DO THIS if coming from a non-CM9 rom!)
Flash CM9 .zip file.
Reboot.
Reboot into recovery.
Flash ICS Google apps.
Enjoy!

No it wont, causes boot loops, plus all the fixes are fixed in the kernel trying to get back from recovery/rom boot loops.
Edit: In case someone else tries this in the future.
Just download the rom if not on computer already
Extract the boot.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
then boot into recovery
wipe cache/dalvik
reflash cm9
Download not working.
Downloading fine for me.
Can i get away with flashing this over the last cm9 build, or has there been enough changes that i need to wipe?
Thanks for pushing out 1 more build H8!
Thanks so much for the build. I have a question though. What is the process of getting the One X adopted as a device with "official" builds?
IS our userbase too small? I've never fully understood how all of that works.

It is my understanding from the CM10 thread that CM9 won't be made official because, as-of the release of JB, the official CM team has moved toward supporting CM10 only.
As for CM10, the devs can work toward making our build official once it is mostly working. At least, that's my understanding of the situation.
So they got official cm9 to rc status and dropped it?
FWIW, we are still working on merging cm9 up. Our focus is getting JB done though.
Got nothing to do with user base .

CyanogenMod 10 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*

*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
This is the support thread for CM10 on the Samsung Epic 4G. It's a major work in progress. It may cause all the things in the disclaimer to happen, or steal your girlfriend while you are busy flashing ROMs.
WARNING: If you are not already on an official CM10 build, this will wipe your data due to a resizing of the mtd partitions. If you wish to go back to another ROM, you will need to ODIN back to stock.
Recommended steps before you install:
1. Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
2. Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
3. Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
4. Boot into CWM recovery. Make a full Backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
Additional Disclaimer:
Any bug reports coming from an Unofficial cm10 build, or a modified/patched Official cm10 build (modem patch, kernels, etc.) should be directed to the originating thread. It is hard enough to provide bug support for the official releases without having to worry about bugs that may have been introduced by outside means. Bug reports are very welcome if you can reproduce them after flashing back to an official, stock build. We do want to be able to fix all the things. Thank you.
Nightly Install Instructions (starting from 20120904):
1. Download from get.cm. Pay attention to the filenames. Don't grab a CM9 build by mistake!
2. Reboot into recovery and install.
Nightly Changelog: http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/#epicmtd/cm10/next
Preview Install instructions:
1. Download cm-10-20120901-PREVIEW-epicmtd.zip [Mirror 1] [Mirror 2] md5: 73fd0294a9cd9e18938a3347cc01f09e
2. Reboot into recovery and install.
**Google Apps are not included in these ROMs. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them.
Known Bugs:
- Fixed in nightly 0911 DO NOT adjust the Maximum CPU frequency. (Preview build only)
- Fixed in nightly 0911 Headset mic is not working.
- Wired headset buttons don't do anything.
- Phone may enter deep sleep while on a wall charger (not USB).
- Occassional reboot possibility is present, but it could be days between them, if it happens at all.
First because I had a premonition this would happen five minutes ago.
Welcome
Bugs I am aware of
Before you flash make sure you have the correct modem!!!
If you flash CM10 with non epic modem you will have issues!!!
Flashing CM10 from any other Rom will wipe data!!!
To flash FROM CM10 > TO any other rom will require Odin to repartition!!
Use FC09
Currently the head set Mic does not work.
There are some occasional random reboots.
There is also an issue with how the phone sleeps while on charge.
SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One nice feature (although still under review and not yet merged):
Go to Settings -> Performance, and check the option for High end graphics effects. It will give you the cool dimming effect when you pull down the notification screen. It may or may not require a reboot to take effect, I forget.
EDIT: The screen already dims, but this will make the notification pulldown semi-transparent. And yes, requires a reboot to take effect.

That's how I got mine to work.

Thank you. Got it to work. The dots weren't there which is probably why I never thought to do it. Had to force them from rom control. It seems the menu dots aren't on a lot of places, such browser and others. Not sure if it reason from rom or not. Shows on my Nexus 4, but it's rom is 4.2.2.
Not meant as a bug report, because I know this is not a maintained rom. Just curious is this is normal behavior.

i have this three dot menu issue as well. i am not sure if its a issue with my vendor tree or if its a pacman bug for there 4.3 branch which is alpha phase

Problems
I flashed this rom, and dont get me wrong it is amazing actually Favorite rom so far.:good::good::good: But i ran into problems when the "system UI" kept crashing randomly, esp when installing, also the paranoid hybrid ui wasnt wotking. I jost want phablet mode really. And save the worst for last, the rom kept breaking my super su root. When i root on this rom it says that it cant find my su binaries....
...ok now i restored a backup and tried both twrp and normal and both cant update the binary. When i tried to use superuser instead it said the root was under "legacy", and highlighted red, so it changed it and tried to root but still failed. idk i think it may be rom but not sure.
but anyway sweet rom.
happy flashing!!!!
yep i am aware of the bugs in the build. i am sorry that system ui is crashing. just for u guys runnjng this. Pacman finally added Flo to source so soon someone from the team will post a official build, but until then i will still try to update'

new update..small updates in source. synced to Pacman Flo vendor tree now. Still no Phablet UI. i think random ui crashes when downloading is fixed.
new update...phablet Ui is fixed
I love Nexus devices.
They get much love from devs.
Must flash, can't resist
The reason we haven't released is because of all the bugs that are getting ironed out with the 4.3 merge. Most of which you have experienced. We're waiting to release a stable build. When ready it will be added to the nightly buildbot.
i knew that. i have mention to BKjolly about this. that is why this was originally in general. i have respect for the pacman team.

cant wait to try!!!
This is an unofficial build of the Android open Collective Project (AoCP) 7.0 based on KitKit 4.4.2 built for the d2vzw. There is no official support for the d2vzw, so after being notifed by some happy d2att users that were using AoCP, I decided to build one for myself.
I am not the dev of this rom, all I did was add in the device and vendor files needed to make it work on d2vzw. This is not a port, everything has been built from source.
As with all things root, I am not responsible for anything that happens while flashing this rom. You take responsibility for your actions. Nandroid is your friend.

Just installed I'll report with any problems. All good so far.
Gonna test-drive this pup later today. Sounds rad!!
Thanks maang!!
Thanks for the Rom. Can someone running this rom post a screenie or 2? Would like to know what this Rom has to offer. Any special features or anything?
Are the other Roms in the download folder built by you too? I saw Validus and Slim in there and was like wtf? Just wondering...
I just flashed it to check it out. It is pretty much like the other 4.4 Roms with the addition of halo and app bar. I can't get appbar working though after enabling it and adding icons to it. Its a good ROM but it is heavily themed and extremely RED!!!! Just a little much red for my taste but like I said its pretty smooth, everything works and it runs pretty well.

Yup, I build a few to test myself. You can try those other roms if aocp isn't to your liking.
I'll post a screenshot or two shortly.

I see BMS is included (YAY!), but what's the base framework on this one? AOSP or CM? I haven't heard of AOCP before, so I'm interested to get more info and see how it varies from the other roms out there now.

The stock CM kernel comes default, I didn't bake BMS in there (my username is there only because, well, it's my username that built it ).
I leave it up to the user to flash whatever kernel they want.
Added some screenshots.
Ooh I love RED! In for 1.
I theme everything red. Nova, SwiftKey, weather/time widget, et al. It is a color that is both pagan and eclesiastic.

excellent ROM. I'm using the i535 in the UK and just flashed it... really loving it. Good work.
Just one thing though, Ive been having issues with the proximity sensor. I must stress Ive been having this issue with all custom ROM's (not just this one). When i make a phone call the screen immediately blacks out, then i cant bring it back to life.
I fixed it by removing the hardware component; i.e. i literally removed the proximity sensor from the phone. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be?
Thanks
Lightning
the proximity issue was fixed by following instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48885560&posted=1#post48885560
The ROM is working g out great. Seems to be doing good on battery. And connection is fine. I feel WiFi is kinda sloe sometimes but its probably just my phone. All in all good ROM.
Having some install issues, install fail and displays symlink: some symlinks failed.
Error executing updater binary in zip.
I have downloaded the rom twice, checked md5 before flashing. First time I can't flash a kitkat rom...

Hmm well I am on twrp and typically always disregard those recovery recommendations... Too bad for me. Thanks anyway!
