ÜBER™ (for the wonderful logo!)

With Minimus dead, I'll use this thread for Paranoid Rastakat.
What is Paranoid Rastakat?
-Paranoid Rastakat is a project I have been working on for a month or two now. When I was away to study for APs, I used Paranoid Android and Rastakat as my daily driver. Sometimes Minimus, but mostly those two ROMs. I kept switching between them as I liked certain aspects of one ROM compared to another. Both delivered what I needed and were amazingly stable and fluid. So when Finals and APs came to a close, I decided to try and bring the best of both worlds together with the philosophy of Minimus. I'm happy with the results.
Can you add x, y, or z into Paranoid Rastakat?
- It depends on whether Rascarlo adds it or the Paranoid Android team adds it. I want Paranoid Rastakat to be a ROM that sticks to what it is meant to be from the start.

Minee

Awesome, things are looking to speed up in this thread!!!
Going to give this a try in a little

Looks good! I have to ask, did you see any improvements with the O3 Krait patch?
I thought those were Krait 200 specific and that the new kernels and that 4.3 already came with these patches built-in for all Krait versions.
(2,3 and 400.)
Well, if anyone could provide before and after benchmarks.. I would greatly appreciate it and I know others will too! :victory:

The Mysterious ROM is a ROM based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It exists on Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 and Samsung I9100 and Samsung I9300 and Maguro and Tilapia and Hercules and Toro and i9100g and Manta.
Features :
Added Linaro
So fast !
Added Bionic optimizations :
morfic said:
bionic is the "libc" of android, there are hardware optimized memcpy/memset and a few others for cortex-a9 and/or armv7-a, but also others specifically for krait, using those instead of stock bionic versions perform the same job a lot better than the more generic versions in aosp.
That affects memory throughput significantly and anything where you move data and need memory throughput using those functions will benefit from it.
there are other (math) functions that can be optimized more for the particular hardware

Working:
Wifi
Incoming calls and texts
Display
It boots doesn't it?
Charges
Note: I disabled SELinux because of the incompatibilities from AOSP.
Pretty much everything else
Not Working:
Top Priority:
1. 3g/HSPA+ Stuck on 2g bands from AT&T. AT&T people can see 3g bands? Looks like I accidentally pulled the exhilarate bits.Need to see if flashing the radio will make a difference.
This bug will not let you make outgoing texts/calls.
[STRIKE2. Must flash kernel on top of this rom, I don't know the root of the problem. Working on it.[/STRIKE]
3.Captivate keys (soft keys) for home and search are not working. Partly my side and omni's side. I don't think the msm8660-common keys are working correctly across all variants (skyrocket/Hercules)
4. You must remove setupwizard from the gaaps, it fc.
5. Usual CM bugs (gyro/speaker) I think i fixed the speaker but I need that part tested. I'm using the aosp parts to try and fix it.
6. GAAPS always forceclose
If you have another bug, please provide a logcat and a description of how the problem occurred.

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][2/3/14] 4.4.2 Kit Kat BAKED [D800] - USB TETHERING WORKS!

Hello and welcome to the unofficial thread for Baked Kit Kat 4.4.2 D800. Thought I would try and fill a gap here, I am a device maintainer for Team Baked on the LS980 (Sprint) but am also going to be contributing as device maintainer for the d800,d801,d802, eventually the international and d803 versions aswell. I WILL NOT be maintaining for the VS980 as Travis is maintaining that device already. I don't have this device so you guys are going to have to be my testers to make sure everything seems to be in working order.
How To Install:
Make A Nandroid Backup In Your Recovery
Wipe Data/System/Cache/DalvikCache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Reboot
As I have asked in my other threads, please don't have 20 people reporting the same issues if there are any, it's just annoying!
Update: 2/2/2014 - After spending a few days sorting out issues, we come one step closer to finding a solution to our problems. I was having an issue with my test build getting through Setup Wizard but after noticing the problem, there should be no problem.
We simply just need to update out beta gapps is all.
A quick little change log for you guys for the 2/2/14 build:
A lot of stuff is always added so I won't always be able to set out the full list of changes
Navigation Button Color Picker Added
USB Tething Now Works (Thanks acardinal)
If you aren't updated with the T-mobile theme engine, we merged the fully themable phone dialer *Inverted*, Desk Clock, and Stock Email to source
If you need Gapps for now until we get ours up and released try these: http://goo.im/devs/bevigilant/pa-gapps/
NOTE: SOME OF THESE ISSUES ARE SUBJECT TO DIFFERENT VARIANTS OF THE LG G2 AND COULD BE AN ISSUE FOR ONE OR ALL OF
THEM, I CAN ONLY PROVIDE A CHANGE LOG FROM WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED FOR THE SPRINT LG G2 AKA LS980 BUT IF THESE WERE ISSUES ON YOUR DEVICE THEY SHOULD BE FIXED NOW ASWELL, IF NOT, CONTACT ME ASAP
Update (2/3)
Setup Wizard No Longer Force Closes After Skipping Activating Mobile Service
In About Phone Section Build Says 2/2 but it's really 2/3
If your internet doesn't work right away via the Play Store just do a reboot.
Known Issues
Have to select Language 2x in setup wizard
Carrier Settings causes a meltdown of force closes

Those are just app updates Chris, you'd have to check the apps logs to see whats new.
For like my first few weeks of building I was using a vm and kept running into errors related to 'hardware'. Got really frustrated with that so I made a partition with elementary OS Luna which is based off Ubuntu 12.04.
I was having all the qcom errors in the beginning of trying to build it. First off did you sync aospa's main branch for nexus devices, or aospa legacy? And then which msm8960-common are you using? I accidentally have both cm's and aospa's in my device tree and them every time I build I manually edit cm's out.
Sounds like you got it figured out for the most part but you're about at the stage where stuff gets frustrating. Unless you feel uncomfortable, you should pm via hangouts, I sent you a message with my email.

Had a problem with adb also and I just desinstalled my phone from the device manager, unplugged it and replugged it and it installed by itself

Hey Chris, I've had a ton of ADB issues in the past, and I found that using a freeware program called USB DeView (assuming you're on Windows) to fix up your assignments can fix it easily. There's definitely some trial and error involved, but here is a decent guide I found that goes over the program: https://www.topnotchtablets.com/FixUSBproblems
It's also mentioned numerous times around XDA, and honestly it's the only thing that's ever worked for me.
Also, check your PM, I'd like you to clean flash the latest build I have and see if the 'Soft reboot on Force Closing 3rd-party apps' is still happening, because I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say that, and I can't see anything obvious in the logcat, but I can force close anything from within the Android Settings and it works fine with this build
Hey cryptecks.. I would like to thank u for the link..I'm running it now and its smooth. One question though..what's beat APN ? Att phone or att pta?

Maybe this is why. Option to chose adb and apps isn't present in neither superuser or dev options.

Above post pertains to PC recognizing phone
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk
I don't have those options above on either my tablet (running official PA) or my phone (running my PA build) and my three computers all recognize them both and can adb as much as I want.
The problem is definitely in your computer, drivers, and/or USB cable/port (on PC), unless I hear from quite a few more people. Did you try USB Deview?
Sent from my One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'm afraid of that deview.. Lol
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk
---------- Post added at 08:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:08 AM ----------
I've also noticed when I have unofficial twrp it does this. Which I am on now. The official doesn't do this
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk
Deview is going to solve the problem for you, not the ROM, because I haven't heard it from any other testers, which pretty much means it's something to do with your setup.
In better news! I plan on posting my first build up in a couple of hours, and for those of you who are testing, here is the projected changelog from the "test build" you guys all had:
- Charging LED works! (I pretty much refused to release a build to the public without this working because I rely on it myself so heavily)
- LTE select-able properly through Settings > Mobile Networks
- (Still waiting on the build to finish to test, but SHOULD BE) PA's built-in Lightbulb app, tile, and widget are fixed.
How's it going so far?
Sent from my KFSOWI using Tapatalk
---------- Post added at 07:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:39 PM ----------
Is charge light pertaining to this or beta 7?
Sent from my KFSOWI using Tapatalk
The build that is currently compiling is the changelog I was mentioning, in comparison to the beta that I sent to you and others. I'll post it as soon as it's done, can't give an exact ETA but it will be tonight.
Oh. I wasn't asking for an eta..I was asking if the charging light is for this or beta7
Sent from my KFSOWI using Tapatalk
Gotcha, well I had actually jumped ahead (incorrectly) of PA. The build tonight will be synced properly with PA's build 4.2 - Beta 1, notice that they've bumped from 4.0 to 4.1 with varying amounts of betas and now they're on 4.2.
This will make a lot more sense when I get on the same release schedule as PA, which they just switched to having new builds out on Monday nights. Tonight it seems like I'll be at Beta 1 with PA still having not released b2 yet tonight. If there's anything awesome then I'll build a beta 2, but expect to see Beta 3 next Tuesday morning (April fools haha).
Hope that all makes sense!

Which Android 7.0 Nougat ROM available, is your favorite?

Which Android 7.0 Nougat ROM available, is your favorite?
1. Tugapower by @danieldmm
2. Cyanogenmod 14 WIP by @jgcaap
3. Pure NEXUS ROM
4. CM14 Unoffical [NRD90M]
5. NucleaRom NOUGAT [Android 7.0._r14] + Radioactive Kernel
There is no "best ROM" you have to try yourself and decide.
Tesla N beta is actually one of the best roms I've ever used for the opo, it's got amazing battery life and a plethora of features. It's incredibly stable for a "Beta" build.

I will leave this thread open as long as everyone stays respectful of each other’s opinions. Try to refrain from saying best or worst and just list off the pros and cons of each build.
Thanks

For me TugaPower is best Android N ROM for Oneplus One now. Good battery, stable, V4A, OTA, smooth. I have tried every N ROM except Pure Nexus

Whichever has the most up-to-date device and kernel trees.
Right now, that's probably LegendROM or Slim.
Omni will be best once the device bringup is done.
I tried Tesla N and Pure Nexus N. They are fast, smooth, OMS support and no big bugs. But battery drain quickly compared to MM (Darkobas)

I tried 1, 2 and 4. The one I'm most likely to recommend is 4. The other two I used wasn't as good as this one for daily use and everything I need is working perfectly on 4.

Haha that's funny. Just now I noticed this ROM don't have theme engine.
I tried only SlimRom N by NoSpamDan and I don't see why I should move away from it in the foreseeable future. Very, very nice ROM, clean and stable.

The latest Google Camera from apkmirror ( this one ) works fine for pics and can shoot 720p videos without issues.
