galaxy tab newbie :( - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello and please forgive me !
From yesterday i have the device that i wish for about 6 months: Galaxy Tab 2 P3100
im very-very happy, but....i want to root it and put Jelly Bean on it...(stock first...then maybe custom...)
i don't want to lose warranty on it, so how is the best way to root it and return to stock if i need warranty?
also, how can i put jelly bean on it because here in Romania, on Kies or OTA no update is available...but i know that jeely bean is out...
My P3100 now has ICS 4.0.3
AP: P3100XXALD4
CP: P3100XXLD4
CSC: P3100XXALD1
Don't say im lazy, but on this forum are so much info and i cannot filter it to find what i need
Thank you very much!

4.2.2 has been released today for P3100.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium

i used Odin v3.07 and put P3100XXCME2_P3100OLBCME2_XSE.zip wich is 4.1.2 open version for P3100 and is working....
also i have root it
is working like a charm....
where do i find official 4.2.2 version? and from what country? i think it must be open version, i'm afraid to brick my dear P3100...
thank you!
on sammobiles i found this, i think is the newest one:
Model: GT-P3100
Country: France
Version: Android 4.2.2
Changelist: 1198223
Build date: Mon, 29 Jul 2013 02:17:49 +0000
Product Code: XEF
PDA: P3100XXDMG6
CSC: P3100OXADMG6
MODEM: P3100XXDMF2
is there any risk to put ROM from another country?

[Q] What happens if i root with a different CSC number firmware?

Dear everyone,
I have Samsung Galaxy S Advance (I9070)
with the following info:
PDA: I9070XXLF4
PHONE: I9070XXLF4
CSC: I9070TMHLF1
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9070XXLF4-CL11002255 [email protected] #2
Build: GINGERBREAD.XXLF4
Android: 2.3.6
I didnt find firmware on SAMMOBILE.com, and i downloaded this firmware: sammobile.com/firmware/?page=8&view=6098
FIRMWARE INFO:
PDA: I9070XXLF4
CSC: I9070CNXLC1
Version: 2.3.6
After that i rooted it with ODIN, and everything was successful.
I have some questions:
Would it be bricked if i recover (unroot) with the different firmware (diff. CSC code)? Or should i wait for my version of the original firmware?
Is there any other way to unroot?
Thanks for help!

you maybe did not rooted your phone coz you downloaded an official rom from sammobile but with a different region!
your stock region was Hungarian T-mobile (CSC:I9070TMHLF1) and changed to Romanian vodafone (CSC:I9070CNXLC1)
but is it still OFFICIAL NOT ROOTED firmware!
so of course you can put back your original T-Mobile hungarian rom with CSC all in one from sammobile site:
this is what you need:
sammobileDOTcom/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-I9070&pcode=TMH&os=1&type=1#firmware
ui:kérdésem ezzel kapcsolatban: nem zavart be a másik csc?gond nélkül működött a teló a hazai hálózaton?

Hi,
I have the exact same issue but only with N8010 (wifi only). I also tried installing Gnabo's rom (v6) via twrp but i was greeted with the same issue.
In a sec i'll try out omni rom (4.4.4) and i'll share the results with you.
Have you already found a way to solve the issue?

Wifi works on Omni rom.
Can someone help us please..
Also I can't flash the official (kitkat) rom via odin through my PC because my data cable is broken.
-V
Now, with odin and pc, i flashed rom, and work well all.
I think the Mobile Odin not the best choice (with all due respect for the developer!)

Hmmm then how do you explain the wifi problem when I flash Gnabo's rom via TWRP? Which is independant from (mobile)odin procedure.

Bro there is a website which has almost all Samsung official Rom for all devices.
Samsung updates dot com.. Google for it.
Try to find latest Rom for your Device and check country region as well.
And check if it newer than installed on your device..
Then download it and flash via Odin..... Good luck
Sent from my GT-S7582 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
download the newest stock firmware from sammobile.com . If your phone doesn't have any carrier restrictions than you can use odin to Flash the firmware and voilà . You'll have the newest stock firmware available for s2
