[Boot Animation] [HD] Marvel Intro [Sound Included] - Galaxy S 4 Themes and Apps

A rooted phone is needed, and custom boot animations need to be enabled. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897969 to enable custom boot animations
The two files for this boot animation are located below.
To install the sound, rename the ogg file in MarvelSound.zip to PowerOn.ogg and replace it in /system/media/audio/ui/

Seems very good..thanks. i tried to flash it throught cwm but no go. How should i proceed ? In the topic you mentioned they give flashable zips to do it.
Thanks

After enabling custom boot animations, download/install "Boot Animations ★ root" from Google Play and run it. Point the install location in the settings menu to /data/local/ and then use it to install the download MarvelBoot2.zip. You could also do it manually, though. I just find this way to be the easiest.

I couldn't get this to work for my RAZR HD the animation seemed too short and sound didn't work. I am rooted and on custom ROM and I just used es file manager to rename the files and move them to system files as appointed to. Any idea or was how I went about it wrong?

Installed it tonight (to replace a horrid custom ROM bootanimation). Works like a charm!
Suggestion: if you could make the bootsound be like from the latest Marvel movies (the sound of comic book pages flipping), that'd be awesome.

unzip the sound zip at your computer
rename the file from Marvel-Comic-Intro.ogg to PowerOn.ogg
now push the file to your s4 with any root explorer into system/media/audio/ui and overwrite the file
reboot

Boot Animation Request?

I don't know how and where to post this so I'll put this here...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAyE7IPAm-I&feature=related
Can someone make this into a boot animation with the sound and full instructions? Please and Thanks
Give me a couple of days.
Do you want that "transformers" banner logo in there? I'll make a couple different versions layer on tonight.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Ok thank you very much.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I would like one with all the gears and things turning without any of the Transformers faces or words in it if that would be okay. Thanks!
I have the first one ready to test. This is exactly as it appears on the video.
To install:
Download the file, or files if you want the audio. Rename the animation file. Depending on the rom you are on, it could be bootanimation.zip or VZW_bootanimation.zip. Extract the mp3 from the android_audio.zip. Find your current boot animation one and rename this one to that exact name. Either rename or move your current boot anim, just in case you don't want this one. Now place the renamed file and the mp3 into the same folder you found the original one in. Again, depending on the rom, this could be in system/media or system/customize/resource.
Let me know how it works out for you guys. I will do a couple more versions of this also.
Works great! It's in landscape but it works good. Could you make one in portrait without all the transformers faces and words? Sorry, I don't mean to sound picky. Thanks a lot! Awesome work.

I'm not sure. You need root permission to write to system, not sure if astro has that. I know es file explorer does. I could make you a flashable zip if you can tell me where it goes in your Rom.

Try es file explorer. They recently added root capabilities. Go to settings towards the bottom and turn on root explorer and mount system as rw. That should let you copy the boot to the right folder.

What do you mean reflash? The entire Rom? No.
Edit. I just reread our conversation. Are you trying to place it in the zip for the Rom that you downloaded? If so, why? Use es file explorer, go to system/customize/resources and place the file in there, not in the zip.

oh, and if u want the sound file, its http://www.droid-life.com/2011/08/26/download-official-droid-bionic-boot-animation/ there...just couldnt upload the ogg file
This is actually pretty cool! I'm gonna give it a try on CM7.

u dont open the file, u place it in the correct folder or adb push it into the correct folder of your phone that handles the boot animations......in CM7 case, u just put the file in system/media folder, where you will see a bootanimation.zip file already, just replace it and reboot!
Thank you : )
So i haven't messed with adb at all and when I try to put in system/media it says installation aborted. I am downloading it to my computer then transferring to system/media because when I download to phone it doesn't show up do you think it could be a file error on the sd card? Thnx in advance
I can't get this sh*t to work at all so imma say cm7 does not work for this boot animation as far as I know. I tried replacing it in system/folder and got nothing Idk what to do.

i have CM7....u need to get an app called "Root Explorer".....that app will allow u to overwrite read-only material and alter them! In this case, u download the animation, u then copy or move the file to system/media, but make sure u click the Read/Write thing otherwise it wont work....then u just reboot
The boot animation looks great. But I would rename your original bootanimation.zip file to bootanimation.old then place it in the directory. Just ing case you are unsatisfied, you can just delete and go back to whatever you had originally. Also does anyone know what I have to rename the sound file to to get it to work properly in the /ui directory ?

This "s2" remove.
Copoy it and paste with Root Explorer in data/local
Download this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=787669&d=1321694724
Save it on SD Card.
Copy and paste this two file with Root Explorer in system/bin
After press some seconds on paste files, and select Permissions, put a check mark for r,r,rw, and OK, Restart.
For Cyanogenmod don't need this two files. Just copy bootanimation, and past it with Root Explorer in system/media and Permissions, put a check mark for r,r,rw, OK, Restart.
Rename file in bootanimation.

Making CWM Flashable ZIP from mobile phone

Hi there
My experiments come to an end. Pls note the steps below
(1)at first u need a sample zIP download it from below link
http://d-h.st/ZYX
(2)download "PowerGrasp file manager" from link below
http://d-h.st/t3u
(3)open the sample zip from file manager(do not extract) u will see
Folder meta-inf (don't modify it leave it as it is)
now make another folder named system under this make folder app(For apk's)now cut and paste any desired apk into app folder
(4)now file manager asks compression level choose normal(6)
(5)Now exit this zip operation
Hurrey u have created ur first cwm flashable zip from ur phone itself
Goto recovery and flash it. Off course it will work just try and hit thanks
-----------------------------------------------------
Hints
/system/app - all the system apps (SystemUI.apk etc)
/system/framework/ -framework-res.apk,android.policy.jar
/system/media - bootanimation.zip
/system/lib - libraries (*.so)
---------------------------------------------------------------
For rom's flashable zip u need to edit the updater script u can do this also in mobile(like notepad++ in PC)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aor.droidedit
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HIT THANKS if u like my work. Don't think just hitttttt
Great thanks testing

If u want to make flash able zip of boot animation then u need PC
With this u don't need PC. Understand the thread now u can create flashable zip right from your phone
Basically it can be used to make flashable zips/roms. Or edit existing roms to remove stuff you don't want before flashing all from your phone.
