Get the GApps .zip file onto the internal storage (aka transfer from your computer to the root of your device or email the zip to yourself and download it on your phone). Go into Recovery mode. Select "install zip". Select "choose zip from sdcard". Then just choose the GApps zip file and it'll start installing.

When I am trying to install the update.zip I am getting the following message:
ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.8
--Install form sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/update.zip
(No such file or directory)
Installation aborted
But I know and triple check that the file (update) is on the root directory
What I am doing wrong?
Are you using Rom Manager? Don't, reboot into recovery
Make sure the update.zip is not update.zip.zip
Make sure the update.zip is not a .rar file
Its much better to "Select the zip file" than it is to let cwm pick the update.zip on the root of the sdcard

Did the gtab_tnt_lite_v4.10.rar unzip to the filename 'update.zip'? you need to look at the name of the file pulled from that .rar.file. If it's something other than update.zip then you need to select ' install .zip from sd card' in recovery, then select your .zip file manually

The rar has the update.zip, but read somewhere that CWM 0.8 finds the update.zip in sdcard and other latest CWM looks the update.zip in sdcard2.
so try CWM 0.8 , or if you have an MIcroSD copy the files to it and run.

The file update is named correctly
I selected the "choose zip from sdcard" it took me to the micro card not the internal sdcard.
Then i would try CWM 0.8 (since this has been tested by many including the mods and recommended ) or try copying the files to the internal memory.

If you have Rom Manager installed then scroll down to the bottom when you open it to "Flash Alternate Recovery" and you should be able to flash ClockworkMod 2.5.1.1-bekit=0.8. Then reboot into recovery.
Do you have cm6 installed on your tab? If you do then it handles the sdcards differently and you may have to put the update.zip on the external sdcard and flash from there.

Thank you @thebadfrog flashing the ClockworkMod 2.5.1.1-bekit=0.8 as a alternate recovery works.
First of all,
I did some research on the forum and the web and couldn't find a clear answer to my problem.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S (with Bell Canada). I used SuperOneClick to root my phone. Everything worked fine.
But when it comes to ROM installation...
So I download Rom Manager and do a custom recovery image... says success, but the update.zip file appears on the internal sd and not external (so, i made a copy on the external - which made a second one appear on the internal wtf, but when i unplug it's at the right location on external - and put a copy of the ROM by the same occasion)
I then do a reboot recovery through ROM Manager. There I select wipe data/factory reset. When I select the option flash zip, i get this error : failed to open mnt/internal_sd/update.zip (No such file or directory)
What am I doing wrong ? Any solutions ?
Select the option to " Select zip from SD card " then select the zip file you are trying to flash. Hope this helps
I get the error msg when I select that option.
so you select "intall zip from sdcard" then you get the error "failed to open mnt/internal_sd/update.zip" ? That error is the error that most get when they select the option to "apply sdcard:update.zip"
Your phone must be rooted.
You should install a custom recovery image like CWM or TWRP.
You install Rom manager from play store.
Download any compatible custom ROM.
Now place the custom ROM in your external SD card
open Rom manager
click install ROM from SD card
choose the downloaded ROM
if it has an update patch, choose it also but it should be in sequence... the main ROM first on top and then the update and other patches.
click on backup rom and wipe data and cache.
and finally select reboot and install.
and the custom ROM should get installed.
it's preferred that you backup your rom first and then install.
Battery should be at 95.
HELPP!!!

just try to install this cwm 6.0.3.1 from this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548856
after that if u want to install a custom rom we have only cm11 with an android 4.4.4 try this
Here is the link for cm11 https://yadi.sk/d/LFvTYxc0esWHJ
And here is the link for cwm 6.0.5.1 gt-s7272 https://yadi.sk/d/iWzthzvzerDqw
For Gapps http://d-h.st/users/TKruzze
just do this start with cwm 6.0.3.1 and follow these steps :
1- wipe data / factory reset
2- install zip from sd card
3- choose zip from sdcard
4- CWM Recovery 7272 6.0.5.1 Final.zip
5- advanced --> reboot recovery
6- mount and storage -- >format /cache --> format /data --> format /boot --> format /data and /data/media (/sdcard) --> Go back
7- install zip --> choose zip from /storage/sdcard1 --> choose CM11.zip
8- reboot system now
9- go again to recovery and flash gapps
THANKS TO ZIM555
I see if u don't know how to install gapps from recovery go to recovery and do this
install zip --> choose zip from sdcard1 --> and choose gapps.zip --> reboot system
and it's done
Hi,
I want to install the Noble Nougat Experience 4.5 so the first I did was to copy the zip file into the download folder. Then i booted into revovery (twrp 3.1) mode, wiped all but internal storage and did a format data but the zip file was lost (I think format data was one step too much?!) . Then I tried with adb sideload but I alwyas got the error "can't load xy.zip" so I tried a random zip file from desktop and this was loaded properly. Now iam stucked in recovery mode with no OS and no idea how to get the zip file to install it.
Can someone help me please?

Hi,
connect your s6 to your computer in TWRP go to Advanced the ADB Sideload then swipe to start sideload
After that press Cancel.
your device must appear in your computer as MTP device so, move "Noble zip" file to your device And flash it.
Regards,
