Any installable or flashable camera app to get that camera working with Cyanogenmod? Loved that camera; is the one thing that might bring me back to TouchWiz once 4.2.2 becomes available.

Touchwiz camera's rely on too many things specific to a touchwiz base. AOSP can't run those camera's.

Do we have a Touchwiz 4 rom? I know we can get the launcher but didn't know if we could get things such as the motion gestures and the browser stuff?

It would have to be done through porting. Idk maybe a cappy has something based off of it, but probably not. The only devices who have this are the gs2 and maybe the note, which porting from hem is extremely hard.
Ok thx for the info. I had looked around but didn't really find to much info about it.

Has anyone been able to get this new camera to work on Ics, particularly the 360 panorama sphere. I don't really care about the keyboard or click just the camera.

The camera works. Even the photosphere but it works so slowly that it almost unusable on our phone. The first version I downloaded only camera and video worked. There is another version out where photosphere does work tho.

The one I've got will take one pic and then freeze and have to point way up in the air to get it to start I've tried about ten different zips all same result

Like I have said in another thread, photosphere requires lots of RAM that our device can't adapt, that's why we can't have it to work properly

This is an OLD phone. Photosphere is a new feature for the newest release of android. You cannot expect everything to work as intended on old hardware.

The Gallery has issues as well. Crashes whenever you attempt to Edit or Crop a picture.
For what its worth here's a link to the version I'm using.

Aw. Lame. I'd stay with the new Gallery and Camera if editing worked. Wonder if anyone will fix it.
Hi Dao
do you think we can make changes to this apk, making use of the camera, while disabling other features like photosphere and editing and instead direct their links to the GB photo editor and regular gallery ?
Has anyone been able to shoot HD videos with this apk ?

HD video worked fine for me. Tested it just now. I'm gonna keep using the camera as a default as I am on miui and I can always crop photos using the miui gallery. The editing feature is not a big deal for me. Maybe someday it will work.

I don't know about All Share, but S Beam is just the dressed up version of Android Beam. Pretty sure there is no core difference.
Jelly "Beans" Rom is a TW rom with AOSP looks... if that's what your after... stability and features of touchwiz with all the cartoonyness checked at the door.
Sbeam uses nfc and wifi direct and android beam is just nfc I think. With another samsung device its faster to transfer stuff then just android beam with a non sammy

Thanks! It looks like that's the one
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
There is also Wicked Sensations ROM.
IIRC S beam uses WiFi-Direct and can transfer music, videos and other files while Android Beam only uses NFC (maybe BT as well) and can only transfer contacts and small things (this may have changed in 4.2)
I was wondering if there is significant quality difference in the shots taken by stock ROM camera and AOSP (CM10.1) camera? I understand OEMs make a lot of optimizations in their software (Sense?).
I don't notice a huge difference.
Try it and see.

Guys I found 4.3 Google play Edition camera and Gallery app fully working on 4.2.
It is an app file. It ll not replace original TW 4.2 camera and Gallery app rather it ll be installed as separate application. No root required. If you don't like it just uninstal it. It's simple
