I would have bought one, but after reading all the negative reviews i changed my mind

Not too sure whats with the bad reviews of this. I've got this case and it's pretty good. No complaints about it what so ever. OK at first was a little stiff to get in and out but after a few days of phone coming in and out it does loosen it self a bit.

I got also the DHD pouch, after 4 months i still like it. and my phone fits perfectly.

yeah , i have my pouch for 3 months too and really no complaint, saved me a couple of times when i dropped my phone accidentaly.

I've previously ordered one of these, but it got ruined by some douche.
They're great, no complaints. No idea why it has bad reviews :S

They claim they're official, and manufactured directly by HTC, even though they blatantly aren't:

I've just got a full refund from them pretty much instantly, and I get to keep the case as "a gesture of goodwill".

Yes they do. I'm sure it's fake, as I previously ordered a case directly from HTC, and I compared it to this one.
The material is different, size is different (my device simply falls out of the fake one, whereas with the original it was kept inside). The general feel of it just says "fake" all over it.
I've taken a picture of the cases side-by-side. They don't look too much different in the picture, apart from the size, but you can really tell when holding them. The real one is on the left (looks a bit tatty as it got damaged slightly), fake on the right:

Does the real one feel like real leather?
Mine does look like the one on the left. The reason i thought it was fake was that i'm fairly sure that it's made of plastic, both from its feel and especially from looking at its edges, which merge into the case's main body and seem to be just be plastic that hasn't been stamped with the leather print..

Yeah it does. I got a second opinion from my mum, she agrees with me - although she did say that if it is, then it's not very high quality. Bonded leather?
Mine does look like yours yes. The edges of the case are plastic though I think, to make it durable.

I bought one of these and strangely it is not the same as the ones pictured. It doesn't have the cut away on the bottom and feels too large for the phone (if that s possible?). There is no way it is real leather either. Still for 4 quid it does its job quite well - no complaints really but the cheapness does show.

If you got it from the link in the OP, then it's definitely fake. If I were you I'd send it back, but it's obviously your choice, just make sure you don't put it in your pocket upside down

The irony is that given all these durability videos of the S5 being dropped, run over by Tesla's, etc., I'm reconsidering if I need one of these.

Several benefits. Feels like glass and is much, much nicer to use than the plastic ones. Also they will shatter in the event you drop your phone face down and saves your actual screen. This is great because it's much easier to replace a $25 dollar glass screen protector than a $100-$200 screen. Mime USA makes my favorite. I have used many over the years but none better than Mime's and Mime's customer service is superb. No one else's even compares to it. Would never think of buying any where else again.

How is the application process? Just like the plastic ones or is it ridged? I guess what I'm getting at is if I do not apply it properly or there is a speck of dust under it can I easily take it off and reapply? Thanks a ton for any info!

Issue is it isn't Amazon Prime so it is at least $8 in the US versus the $6 it used to be with Prime.

For anyone who needs to know, majority of the glass screen protector for the S5 does not have round edges, may be the next few batches will.
Even without the round edge, it shouldn't make any differences, the S5 edge is slightly raised about 0.5mm.

They are awesome. This was my m8 with one of my favorite designs. They don't really touch the screen and typically if they are full screen you have the ability to get a screen protector that only covers screen.

Slickwraps is the ish. I just ordered the white leather finish. We'll see how that goes. Really curious to see how it feels in the hand.

Ugh I just got my metal frame one and I hate it. Its so tight it feels like your gonna break the phone every time you put it in or take it it. Its awful. It also affects signal slightly.

Well any metal frame one will have SOME signal loss but I didn't find anything noticeable. I will agree with the tight fit but the last thing you would want would be a loose case., How do your buttons feel? Mine are difficult to press with the case on. I LOVE the case otherwise.

The buttons are practically useless, there is no feel. I agree about the tightness but it is wayyy too tight. I really thought I was going to break my phone taking it out.

It's a really good case, the kind you can permanently keep on... But the buttons are crap.. You almost have to dig your nail into it for a press.
The case was almost impossible to remove. I needed pliers to pull the tpu out from under the bumper to free one of the corners, so the rest can come off.

Those were amazing. I had lost mine during renovation of my home so I have $1 artscow pads now.

Looks good. I also received mine in the mail yesterday after waiting nearly 3 weeks. It was the old style which doesn't stick in the corners. Needless to say, I immediately contacted Intelliarmor and they processed a refund. I'll give them credit for at least being responsive.
I guess my point is, beware...they are still shipping the older version.

I guess I got the older version today but there is a crack in the screen itself which seems to cause a bubble that I cannot get out. My second screen although I have not put it on yet seems crack free.

i got mine two days ago. it doesnt have the cutout for the camera, but it has some glass underneath the bottom speaker unlike in the video. is this the old version?

Same version I got from Amazon yesterday. Just came in stock last Saturday. I love it. No issues what so ever

1.- Old version [deprecated]
2.- New version (regular fit)
3.- New version (case friendly)
So.... Yeah.... I hope @intelliARMOR send me the regular one, I personally don't dig those wide borders, and I think I'll be ok with a Spigen Ultra Fit.

I ordered a couple during the two-for-one sale way back when; first one had an issue with the bottom corner not adhering properly, but I got a perfect installation on the second one. But that I know there's a new version with cutouts, I'm going to have OCD over that...

The screen protector revisions is getting out of hand. That said, I bought a pack of 3 no name ones for $12 and they had all the correct cut outs and work great

FWIW,
I just got mine a couple days ago. Was backordered for a long time... I got two when they had that buy one get one free promo.
Anyway both don't have cutouts for the front camera, has a cutout for proximity/ambient light sensor, but has the gap at the bottom below the speaker...
I would have rather had that bottom covered, and a cutout for the front facing camera, but I'll just have to live with it.

Not at all. I'm not sure why some people would prefer it without the added protection.
