When you say kernel do you mean the entire boot.img or just the zImage.
Eitherway I can help you.

Sorry accident post. Didn't mean to post. =/

This is helpful to those who know what they are doing. However most of those people would already know how to do this no? What would be even more helpful is a tut on how to do this.

I have an app called stickmount that I would like to put into this zip. The apk seems to already have a meta-inf with certs. Do I delete that dir and just insert the rest of the files and folders from the apk into your empty.zip? I have zipsigner on my android to sign the zip file when done. If you want I can attach the file so you can view the tree?
I would like to install this app from twrp.
Thanks

Most Theme Dev's could care less about how a zip file is made, they just need something they can flash with the proper mount points and binaries to distribute there work.
This zip makes it easy for that.
If you want a tutorial you can ask in Q/A and I can explain how to make these if you need help. But I am sure there are already hundreds of tutorials on how to make flash able zip. Thats how I learned :good:

No, those folders are for that specific app. You could place the app in the system/app/ folder and pay special attention to any lib files.

Thanks for this and I agree. I could always do this myself if I had to but I love when all I have to do is grab this and throw my stuff in it and am 100% confident that everything is right. It's one of the first things I download if you have the device I do and release an empty flashable zip. Definitely appreciated.

Here's a flashable update.zip that has the keyboard from the LG Optimus 2X. You can find a screenshot of it at:

Is the 3rd_party directory in the zip unnecessary? I added it in an attempt to get the Swype-like feature of the keyboard working, but I'm not sure the feature works anyway. Here's a much smaller version of the zip without that dictionary. Can someone test it and see if it still works? If it still works I'll add it to the OP.

I'm not sure. I tried for a bit but I couldn't seem to. It might be something as simple as a missing lib, but I have a feeling it's more complex. Unfortunately I think it will have to be up to someone who knows more about android hacking...
how do i manually removed it...??it crashed in me.
or is there an undo patch??
You can either go in and manually remove the files in the zip with root explorer or just reflash your rom.
Any way for you guys to make one that non-rooted user can have

[BOOTANIMATION] XoomNexus

This is the Xoom boot animation ported for the Nexus One. All credits go to tntdroid over at the androidcentral forums for his DroidX port.
Instructions
Place in tools folder, open a cmd prompt and:
Code:
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
Link.
Link2
Alternatively, flash the Xoom-signed file in your recovery of choice:
Link
Note: The little honeycomb bee is not part of the bootanimation but rather seems to be a splash screen, which as of yet N1 users can't change.
Do these instructions apply to the HD Desire port also...like MM's 1.7 build? Or is there some other location to push it to?
Thanks...looks cool.

[Patch] G2X pre-dexopt Apr: 26

This download is a tweak for T-Mobile G2X (NOT Optimus 2X) STOCK ROMs. Always do a backup in ClockworkMod Recovery first!
This fix pack includes my fix for the LG 'pre-dexopt' issue only. For me I found that - after an initial slow boot (where the dex files are created) - this made the device run more smoothly in general use. Share your feedback!

Thank you! Just installed. I no longer have the ridiculous lag when adding an app shorcut when using the "add" in the menu of adw launcher. Scrolling also seems faster. Thanks again!
edit: after 1 hour of use it's becoming apparent that this is a very significant fix. there is a very noticeable difference in speed and responsiveness throughout the rom. also, download the zip using a computer as it doesn't download correctly when using your phone

I installed the stock rom download from here, but it doesn't seem like it's included. All I got is the S-Note
or if anyone knows any stock rom has those included, please post a link. I dont mind to reflash~

Edit: never mind, my story and angry bird is not included in the update. But someone mentioned shaped match. what's that?
Its in S-Note. Draw a circle, and it will put a proper circle. triangle, etc
^^ heh?.. being a bit vague, arent we?
i drew a circle.. and it's my circle.. but not a 'proper' circle'...
Ok, being un-vague, its under productivity tools, shape match in S-Note.
There are obviously times you may wish to draw your own circle.
