[Q] Stable ROM for Q Mobile A8 - General Questions and Answers

I am looking for one stable ROM based on JB for my Q Mobile A8. I used Stock ICS , Stock JB and ROM Android 4.1.2 LeWa already but phone gets hot , Battery gets drained quickly and there are frequent crashes with all of the above ROMs .
Any suggestions/Tips about the "best" stable" ROM would be appreciated.

Hello all, based on your knowledge and experience, what is the BEST, MOST STABLE, BATTERY FRIENDLY, SMOOTH, POPULAR and PERFORMANCE ACCELERATED 4.1 custom ROM (I know it doesn't have a 4.2 based yet) for the Note 2 N7100 that has the most upgradable potential? [Q] Best ROM lag-free (4.x only)

I am searching for a Jelly Bean ROM which is as fast and smooth as possible and be compatible with photosphere patch and face unlock. Also I want to tell me the best kernel for performance as long I don't care much about battery life.
P.S.Where is Sense 2.1 GB?In the thread of the ROM in the download link it has only NexusSense 4.0 which is ICS and it's laggy.
P.S2.Is there any photosphere patch compatible with CM9?

[Q] Help Plz...Stuck.! Confused!

Hello Friends !
By proffesion i m a It professional but i was not much involved in Android Development/Experiment.
i had updated my phone to JellyBean 4.1.1 from service center.
But after alot of research i Rooted my Canvas 2 Phone in nov 2013.
lots of apps were there to use, i used it.
Then i heard of ThunderZap Kernel 2.0 and i decided to use it .
i used Quadrant Standard Edition to view the change after installing it but unfortunately i saw that performance was degraded a lot.
but i continued using it had many problems in between.
then yesterday i decided to try any custom rom, after a self evaluation i decided to use MIUI Custom Rom.
i followed the mentioned procedure as said in the post by @Akhilendra Gadde.
flash 3.12.13 and update it to 3.12.21
i followed it completely.
now my phone is looking awesome.
UI is too good.
but....I M facing Problems.
1. Rear Cam is not working.
2. Play store download not working.
3. Unable to Install any apk files/apps.
4. default browser i unable to download complete files.
5. system is laggy.
i have udated the download limit in downloads but still having prob.
i m using thunderzap v2 kernel.
why should i use any script as they suggest suvibooster.
if anyone know/tried and want to suggest me any custom ROM with no Bugs plz suggest me.
Pls use these roms
For 4.1.x
1 JMP ROM
2 Lewa ROM mufti. Armaan
For 4.2.2
1 legoice fusion
2
For kernel use an****xu 3.4.5 Final 2 Oct
It works great
Sent from my LegoIce_Fusion™ using xda app-developers app
Kernel mismatch!!!
Hi...actually u r using 4.1 kernel on 4.2 rom,so the consequence are those bugs. Either use a 4.1 rom or 4.2 kernel with 4.2 rom.
May be you can try Suvi ROM V16 it has android 4.2.1 . Its best UI and good performance. But while your flashing custom ROM from 4.1.1 to 4.2 then you need to update into latest Kernel (4.2). We cannot able to provide you the Kernel link due to GPL violations. Try to google it you can get it easily.

[Q] confusion Stock Firmware vs Stock Custom ROM

Stock Firmware vs Stock Custom ROM. A confusion for many years i have for all Android Phones i rooted (Samsung, LG, Sony)
For example:
my Base ROM is IceCreamSandwich (ICS), because it was easy to Root & Install Recovery on ICS.
Then i have flashed JellyBean (JB) Stock based Custom ROM on it.
now on reboot 1st LG logo on very start says (ICS version) but later it boots into JellyBean ROM.
My Question is:
does firmware ICS still has any effect on Phone? or now only JB ROM (stock based modified ROM) has full control of mobile??
Install the last fw is always a good road... maybe first you can read others experience s

For example:
I have 2 LG mobiles one is on Base Stock Firmware GingerBread with on top Stock based Custom ROM JellyBean 4.1.2
my 2nd mobile has Base Stock Firmware ICS with on top Stock Custom ROM JellyBean 4.1.2
My Question is:
does having GB vs ICS vs JB firmware makes any difference for Recovery?...or installing main JellyBean Custom ROM on top cancels effect of firmware on it???
i mean having latest firmware improves battery and radio/mobile/wifi signals?

Gingerbread verses ICS Battery life is very different, ICS and up will give you better battery life, its always best to have the latest android version on your phone because more apps will work with your device the higher it is.

it might be that the jellybean rom is not jelly bean or it just kept the ics logo

Modding request!!!! Gtn7000

plz make a system ui of gtn7000 jellybean stock like marshmallow 6.0 so we can experience a latest marshmallow system ui without install any other custom rom..
bcoz battery life is very good of stock rom against any other custom rom..and we can enjoy beautiful ui of marshmallow in stockrom.:victory::laugh:
Is anyone here?? To make this happen...for us:angel:
Honestly stock roms are really out of date, and believe me, it eats a lot of battery and mostly RAM.
I suggest you to upgrade to CM 12 (Android 5.1) as it is the best version you can have.
