I recently bought my second Samsung Galaxy S3 sch-i535 with the VRBMF1 update. Rooted it using Casual Root Tool using TWRP. Since rooting, i have flashed different ROMs - Goodness, Slim ROM, Jelly 'Beans', and Synergy. Each ROM with the Note II Camera gives me the error message "Can't connect to camera". This happens with both the stock camera and the Note II camera. When I flashed Liquidsmooth ROM with just the stock camera it works flawlessly, Has anyone had this issue or any suggestions for correcting it?. I flashed numerouss ROMS on my first Galaxy 3 so I'm wondering if the update has anything to do with it? Thanks
Try manually uninstalling and reinstalling the camera apk, then go to recovery and fix permissions

nope. Touchwiz apps like the camera require the touchwiz framework in order to work.

I have an S3, i-535 that I have been trying out some different roms on. So far I've tried Paranoid Android 3.68, pacman 22.2.0 along with a pacman milestone build and aokp mr1_build 6 and in every rom the camera throws a "failed to connect" error. With PA i as able to use the camera with an app (mx or instagram, i can't remember), but the other roms it was completely non-functional.
I see other threads here about camera issues, but there aren't many that I can see that actually resolve the issue other than "install the latest cm". I'd really like to use PA, so is there any way to have a functioning camera with PA? Or pacman for that matter.
I should also note that I'm already on VRBMF1, the phone came from verizon on that version, so I'm assuming I don't have to do anything to the baseband... ?

Try the latest AOKP nightly. I'm having no camera issues.

Just picked up the AT&T Tab 2 10.1 Wi-Fi/GSM and am looking at installing CM or another varient. My question is which Tab do I have? I notice the three different versions: P5100, P5110, & P5113. Which is mine?

Last month i braved upgrading my Galaxy Tab 2 to the custom ROM by CyanogenMod (11).
This gave me what I required with regards to having multiple profiles on Tablet for me and kids. However what i did not realise is that i would lose various bits of functionality.
ie The camera is not as good, the video camera is not as good and can no longer connect device to Samsung TV.
So what I am wondering is "Is there a Custom ROM" that delivers the missing functionality (believe they all need Touchwiz which is not built into CyanogenMod.
is there a custom ROM based on Android 4.3 (Jellybean) which also has Touchwiz? ie it will give me multiple profiles and the Samsung camera/video recorder?

If no one can help, maybe just make a nandroid of your current ROM and try out some others.

I believe sungsonic should work for you. Stock modded rom. I lost my cable so I cant check but its what I was dualbooting with cm11.
Thats the other option, just dualboot. One rom for you, one for the kids.

This is the one reason why the dual boot solution was made.
Or you could just rollback to CM10.1. I was having stability issues so I did that a few months ago. It's light years more stable than CM11.

I have a galaxy note 2 i317. I am using the Jedi x rom it is 4.1.2. I really like the rom and would under normal circumstances just leave that rom on this phone forever, but I just got a galaxy gear fit. It will not work with my current rom. I require 4.2.2. I can find roms, but many are less than 200 mb. I know that is not a full os. I downloaded ezkat and it would not install, so I went back to my jedi x backup. The ezkat was 1.23 gb and jedi x is almost 1gb. Any ideas on a rom that is kitkat 4.4 ( I only need 4.2.2 but if I am gonna update, I may as well get the latest update I can get) I want cyanogen also. I know someone out there has a perfect solution for me, please help me with fixing this. Thank you for your time in this matter
