Hey guys,
I have a rooted htc inspire running cm7. I was running the Inspired asop rom when this problem started. The problem is that i seem to be unable to get a data connection, The icon on the status bar is greyed out, still has an H with the 2 arrows, and 4 bars, But still if i go to the browser or market or anything involving data it dosent work? I thought maybe it was the rom so i flashed different ones, same result. i reset the apn settings, still the same. now im at a loss. If anyone could please help me id greatly appreciate it! thanks
AJ.
Still can't figure this out. Please help.
Did you make sure data was enabled under mobile network settings?
What radio are you using?

I have an AT&T HTC Inspire 4G on h2o wireless, last week i rooted my phone using Android Revolution HD 6.1.1, before I was rooted my internet and MMS were working fine now since being rooted they do not work at all. I had download from the android market the h2o config app and before it worked but since rooted it does not work anymore. can someone please help me?
I had the same problem, you didn't flash a new radio after rooting and the stock one was not meant to be kept so your going to neew to pick a new radio to flash.
Have you messed with your APN setting recently?

What Rom?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda premium
I just tried to use my phone and I have no data connection. I've been using the wap.cingular apn for a while now with different phones and different ROMs. Right now I'm using a HTC One X with ClearROM 4.5. I haven't have any issues til today a few minutes ago. I already try switching flight mode on and off, rebooting, re-entering the APN information. I don't want to flash the rom again unless it's necessary. Is anybody else experiencing the same issue?
Same thing just happened to me with the lte apn on x140. I had to nandroid back to aokp

I also tried flashing the rom again, flashing a different rom and no luck. If anyone knows how to make this apn work again please let me know. I'll appreciate it
Never mind. It looks like at&t had something to do with it. It just started working by itself again.
I have a rooted evita running 1.73 with stock HTC sense. I also have an unlocked and rooted Nexus 7 tablet. I am unable to share files using WiFi Direct. I can connect fine but can't find the WiFi Direct option when trying to share from say, gallery. I have looked on Google and others seems to have this problem, but no solution is offered. I've looked here and can't find a suitable thread. Does anyone here know why this isn't working?
Update: Since I've started using CM 10, I've had no problems.

look for task manager app and verify if it is in the backgroud.
youo can use tibackp also to look for it in the system.
OK guys. I'm on one of last months cm10 builds. Hboot 1.06. I've tried a bunch of radios with the cm radio installer. Edited my build prop values. I cant seem to break 6-8mbs. Was getting insane speeds on trickdroid.
Any input is appreciated.

Hey folks,
This has stumped me since I started flashing custom roms and I'm now at wits end and am begging for someone out there to shed some light on this...
For some strange reason, I can't get Wifi tethering to work on any custom roms. I've tried Embryo, Pacman roms with no luck. I've checked, rechecked and rechecked my access point names for Rogers and the only thing that happens is that I can get devices to connect to the Wifi hotspot but no data can transfer.
However, if I do a full wipe and load stock Rogers JB rom, my tethering works fine.
I've included pictures of my settings. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Holy [email protected]! It worked! A thousand thank yous!!!
I've abandoned really good roms because tethering didn't work and it is one of the things I use everyday...
Still can't believe it...
Glad to hear it!
