U can see in the screenshot for me video mode is working.
Do one thing clear data and cache from setting app.

It is capped at 5 mega pixel
But have many option in setting like macro mod etc

4.click and update
5. Reboot and after that you should have htc icons.

Please PM which devices this will work on and I will reopen it. Typically Sony camera apps only work with the Sony framework.
