It depend's on what kind of game but when I do (heavy 3D games) I usually get somewhere between 4-5h of screen time, looks like the most battery consumtive on GT7+ is the screen which ranging 20-25% drain/hour (I also always use automatic brightness)
But I actualy quite surprised with the idle time of the GT7+ that I got 22 days... (with some application management and airplane mode)
22 days? did u check its still alive eeveryday?

So I finally think I got my phone set up how I want it. I was wondering if you guys think that this is good? As far as screen time and length of constant usage it is the best i have had. I dont know how it will be under normal usage but i am hoping i will be able to go a whole day when i am not TRYING to burn out the battery.
My phone seems to be running awesome and real smooth minus the proximity sensor problem on phone calls... and the occasional wierd little glitchiness from the ICS tiny bugs. like once the white text turn green in lock screen and lock screen didnt sense my touch and kept green flickering. forcing me to pull the battery. With the occasional little glitches that make me turn it off and then on to reset it. Had it since it leaked and have had to restart and pull battery a total of maybe 5 times. With gingerbread I would have glitched maybe once every couple weeks.
MY Phone:
NS4G ICS 4.0.4 IMM26 Stock n Locked.
Some GApps disabled that I don't use. I leave off GMAPS until I use it. Only a couple widgets on my home screens.
Obviously have it setup with a black background. Settings how I like them now. Had the screen on the whole time to test this. Screen brightness around 60%. This is the best battery usage I have had. When checking running apps my Ram usage is right around 140 used with no apps open. Just in case anyone is wondering.
I had 3g on at first 2 bar signal for the first couple hours. I was on the internet cruising forums, groupon, craigslist, watching rock climbing videos. played some bubble blast. a little bit of gt academy racing and some other games.
then turned on wimax with great signal the second half. doing the same stuff. scren on the whole time. playing with my phone the whole time. except for maybe 30+ minutes when i was eating and stuff.
Before this on gingerbread, I averaged about 3 hrs screen on time. Also when I first loaded ICS I BURNED thru battery Under this type of usage.
here are my screen shots. IS THIS GOOD,GREAT OR NORMAL OR WHAT you think?
With my combo i get more than that. Playing all the time, with wi-fi on, 3G always, i get over 7/8hrs.
all depends on rom/kernel selected..

What do you have? I get nwhere near that
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
I would say five and a half hours sounds pretty decent even with brightness at 60 percent. I keep my screen on auto brightness but have never tried leaving my screen on nonstop. I should try it sometime lol

Thanks for responding everyone.
Jinsoku3g- What setup are you running? About how long do you think you burn thru a battery at those settings i described?
Kalitza-
WOW that is a lot. What combo do you have? What brightness setting? I am trying to compare what i can get before i go the custom rom route to make sure it is worth it.. If i can actually get 2 hours more screen on time with the same screen brightness settings then i would definitley make the switch. Lower brightness settings and auto brightness saves a ton of battery and bumps me around the 7 hour mark.... considering auto bright mode is always around 25-30% when i check it. my screen is never over 70%... it is so bright i cant look at it up close.. lol...
Also, are you OClock'd/UC and/or OVolt'd/UV?
So as long as we are at comparable screen bright levels. It makes me think how much better it could be. Would like to plz know yer stats upon testing? Screen % and Oc/Ov-Uc/Uv. Do you have any screenshots?
Thanks for the input guys. I am always up for hearing more about where i stand in your opinions. I know why/why not to root and all that. Just wanting to see if my stockness tweaked is comparable enough to please my needs.
Hello,
I'm new here and have a quest about my new tablet
I bought the Transformer Pad Infinit a few days ago and I think that I could use the battery for 9 hours more or less.
But my battery is extremely weak, I just use this 3 or 4 hours with the GPS off and bluetooth off too. The wi-fi is just on in the half of this time, and waht I do in this time is play some games and use the internet. I use the "Energy Economy" mode all this time and the light of the screen is in 20%.
I guess my battery is more weak than others... What can I do to "fix" it?
I would to say "thanks" for everyone, and I'm sorry by my english, I don't know english so well
The battery in your Infinity may be not charging to 100%.
I don't get 9 hours with moderate use...I see around 6 hours.
My wifi and GPS are always on and the screen is about 30%.
The batteries aren't supposed to have "memory" meaning: they should be able to be charged over and over from any discharge level back to a full charge.
There also might be something running in the background that is taking down your battery charge.
Have you browsed the battery saving tips in the stickies here in the TF700T forums?
Is your Infinity the LTE version by any chance?
Some info:

First: Thanks
I search in the internet and I found that the Li-Ion batteries have to charge arround 30%~50%. I do it much times.
I was using a animed wallpapers and I change it by a normal wallpapers. I guess this make some efecty
I search here in the forum too, things about the battery saving, I found somethings that can be helpful, but no "so beautiful"
I don't have the LTE version, I guess nobody have it, Asus is so stupid when we talk about "3G/4G"
I don't know why, but mysteriously, the tablet use about 600mb of RAM and also nothing is running, just the things of the systen.
I guess it's strange, maybe that interfere in the battery life no? But how can I "fix" it? SImply have notthing running and 600mb of RAM are in use.
Thanks again, and again: sorry by my english

Yes, animated wallpapers definitely use more battery than static ones.

That's OK. Unused RAM is wasted RAM, and unused RAM uses exactly the same amount of battery as used RAM, so no need to fix anything here. Interesting for battery use is CPU utilization by running processes.
I have to admit the battery life is not brilliant on this tablet. It very much depends on the usage, this wasn't really the case with previous LEAST powerful galaxy tab 8.9. Even during playing games it easily lasted 8-9 hours.
Worst infinity battery times observed ( balanced mode, brightens < 30% )
- playing hard core 3d games, like dead tigger, battery dead in 3-4 hours
- playing less intensive games, battery dead in 5-6 hours
- browsing battery dead in 7-8 hours.
- watching movies, battery dead in 8-9 hours.
so anything between 3-9 hours can be normal with infinity. I cannot even imaging battery life in performance mode, IPS+ full brightens
I was with fear, 'cause for a moment thought that my battery was the only one that is "not so beautiful" But I saw that is not a problem with my tablet and yes with this model.
I'm Brazilian, here the Asus is a perfect nothing. Here we have just the TF101 who comes with 1 year delayed. So I buy the tablet in other country and I don't have warrancy, if my battery was with some problem I don't know what I would.
Here if I call to Asus they would hit the phone in my face before I can say "Transformer"

Ummm...
So you ... own the Asus Infinity TF700T?...or the TF201?
...don't get hit in the face please!...especially with a phone...maybe a small phone wouldn't hurt a lot.
I hope your face doesn't get hit though...
God I love Google Translate...
Asus very clearly says "Battery life tested under power saving mode, playing 720p video playback, Brightness:100nits, default volume with headphones." on their website. If you try something else, you'll get different results. Basic scientific fact.
Also, I can't stress this enough: Kill off all bloatware! No you don't need to root the tablet for it (most of it, anyway.) The more processes you run in the background, the more power they consume. Simple as that.
And WiFi EATS battery like you wouldn't believe. It's so horrible it's not even funny. The WiFi unit is very powerful, which is why it eats so much. So yes, using WiFi will eat your battery.
andoid uses RAM differently than Windows. Forget how it works there. Android reserves RAM for processes, even when they're not in use.
Could be the Google Location bug? there's info on that here somewhere too.
Go to settings --> Battery and see what uses the most percentage.
I find my Z3's battery life not that impressive as critically acclaimed. A lot of people have posted their battery estimated time to be two days or more but for me, even after cycling the battery from 100% to 1% twice I still only get 1 day and a couple of hours more. For sure I can make it through one day with probably a lot left but I'm sure not a heavy user. Dumb ways to die 2, crossy road and wordament are the only games I play and they aren't even that big of games. I don't play them much either, maximum of 2 hours combined in a day. It says the screen takes up most of the battery consumption a but I usually just leave it on WhatsApp and do nothing. HOW??? AND WHY???

Do you really care about some dumb estimations? What is wrong with you all?! My Z3 works for ~2.5 days with like 2 h+ a day of PowerAmp at max volume , dropping to ~30 %... WiFi off (also not available for location, check that in wifi settings), location on precise settings (no wifi obviously), screen time 1-2 h. Projection is just a projection, why would you care? It just takes the average load, so if you turn it on after an hour of playing a game it will show a lower value...
exactly... want it to live a little longer? use the stamina mode.. (helps with screen off and some screen on battery life depending on how u configure stamina mode..)
all in all a very nice phone with a good battery capacity..
im starting to think 3000mAh should be the minimum/standard in every smartphone that comes after the Z3... u can seriously feel the difference compared to older phones with less battery capacity..
u need to learn how to use the phone without keeping an eye on the battery percentage.. im starting to get shocked when i hit 70-60% by the time im off to bed..
yes at days i get down to less than 10% but without keeping an eye on the battery percentage its living longer...
stamina mode on 24/7 , 3g/4g on 24/7 (no wifi) , auto sync on, whatsapp, instagram, twitter and 2 bbms sucking my battery but nothing this beast cant handle
by the end of the day im at whatever percent ... and sot between 2-7 hours ..
(not bragging but i guess i wont need bbs/amplify/greenify/bmw... with how the stock rom is working)
Well gaming will ramp up the CPU clocks/voltage so lower SOT would be expected.

Not sure why he doesn't realize this.... Screen on for 2 hours playing a game is going to use your battery.
I'm having the same issue as OP. Been through around 5 charge cycles so far. I don't play any games at all. Main usage is for WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, a bit of camera use and general web browsing. It's usually an even split between being on WiFi and 3G through the day.
I've had the phone for a week and my battery usually lasts around 28 hours (30 max) with around 4 hours of SOT, (with stamina enabled from 50% down) which I'm kinda disappointed by, given how everyone I see on forums posts great stats of 7-8 hours SOT. (Beats the crap out of what my old Nexus 5 was giving me, but still - bought the phone because I didn't want to think about my battery anymore)
Don't know if I just have a defective battery or I'm doing something wrong, but does anyone have any tips, or anything in particular that you do to ensure your battery lasts two days?
I read that the Facebook app is a bit of a hog, but I don't see any flags under the battery usage page, or any warnings in the section that monitors which apps are power hungry. Going to uninstall it and see if it makes a difference. That apart, my screen brightness is usually set at around 35% (with adaptive brightness on) Any other suggestions would be very welcome
Thanks!
Hey guys,
I just recently got a refurbished phone from T-Mobile's insurance replacement. My brother gave the phone to me instead and opted for something else. So phone right out of the box had 100%, used it lightly and I noticed every 4-5 minutes that i spent looking at the screen the phone would drop between 1-2% and this is just me looking at settings and downloading updates. So I figured maybe it was just the updates being intensive.
So I get my case and screen protector and I turn off my phone and let it charge on off to 100%. Turn it back on and start using it like I normally would (keep in mind if I have stamina on) I like to have my screen brightness at the highest while watching videos so I watch 3 videos over my LTE connection on youtube and then I hope into my car and listen to a audio book that's already downloaded. Time lapse was probably about 30-40 minutes.
When I get home the phone is down to 85%. Is it normal to lose 15% in less then a hour on this phone? This worries me because I want to utilize the life log and during my 9 hour shift at work I listen to spotify about 6 of those hours... maybe I have a dud battery? Every where I go everyone says it lasts all day with moderate use... but at this rate my phone would be dead before my shift even ends...

Um what? What kind of phone did you have before? Did it have better battery life? Because the only phone I've ever had that had better battery than the Z3 was my Z1C (usually 7 hours)
Also, max brightness and 5 minutes per 1%? You know that equals 8 hours of screen-on time? IE a better battery than ANY PHONE ON THE MARKET HAS? You need some perspective, your expectations only make sense if you came from a Nokia 5110
I had a iphone 4S before this. My expectations are like this because every where I read reviews everyone says "insane battery life" "Lasts all day" and even the sony site boasted how the phone can last all day with stamina off and with stamina on it can last 2 days and with stamina ultra supposedly a week. This is why I'm worried about what's going on with my device.
If there are better sources with realistic numbers i'd greatly appreciate it to put me to ease.
I just set all the settings on my phone to get the maximum battery life except ultra stamina and even froze/disabled apps that i don't need. Yet I'm still draining just the same, I like to watch videos on youtube and play spotify and watching vids on youtube for about 30-40 minutes I drain about 10% with all the new settings. Brightness is also on minimum now and have that option for it ticked as well.
Just wanted to give feedback on the phone and having it for a week now. The battery life is truely amazing, It almost drains nothing when in standby its like the phone isn't even on at all yet sync is coming in with updates. This is a great phone and I have yet to have it die on me before getting home.
Hello there,
I have a K1 since a couple of month, update 5.1 installed.
While I can get a pretty decent battery life, there is still one thing eating most on my battery : the screen.
Most of the time, I get 2h and a half of screen on time, no auto brightness, set to the minimum. I end up with the screen being responsible of 85 or 90% of the battery drain !
This is bugging me a lot since I travel a lot and would like to be able to watch 4 hours of videos with a full charge...
Is my screen on time normal ? Is there any tips I can use to increase it ? I'm not rooted right now but I can look into it if necessary.
Thanks for your help guys !

To watch locally stored movies using MXplayer i get 5hours of movies. (10/30% screen brightness).
But yeah battery life isn't great on this device and yes the screen is always the main drainer for me too
Exactly what C4 says.
If you watch movies you don't have the brightness on 0%. What can make the difference is watching offline vs streaming! Streaming of course eats more battery.
And when you are a traveler consider a 10k powerbank to more than double your on screen time.
Well, the powerbank seems indeed to be the ultimate solution.
What bothers me is that you can tweak performance for app and stuff... and they end up taking no power at all anyway (not toking about heavy gaming of course).
Screen is always eating all the battery. I wondered if a custom kernel could make a noticable difference on this...
On any recent mobile device, when using it, the screen will be the biggest battery drainer, by far.
Only thing you can do (when using an LCD based device), is lowering the brightness. That's all.
