I need a new retractable charger, any advice?

If I am to get a Galaxy S Phone - or any new phone for that matter - they require Micro USB. I have a bunch of Mini USB accessories. But for some reason, I am having trouble finding Micro USB products. Where can I find some good ones?
Questions include:
Mainly, where should I look to find a good micro USB to USB, for my car?
I occasionally plug my Touch Pro into my TV with my soon to be useless Mini USB to AV Out. What do I do now? I have seen some Headphone To AV Out, do they work?
Micro USB to HDMI? Is that supported across most phones?
What kind of charger does the phone (or most phones) come with? Is it one of those AC Adapters, with the USB plug plugging into the AC Adapter? But the USB Cord is like, one foot? Will I need a regular cable too?
Questions, questions!! So many!!

[Q] Male Micro/Mini USB to Female Regular sized USB

Does anyone know if I purchased one of these can the Transformer then read memory cards or use other USB peripherals?
no one has tried yet, try it for us and find out!
I would if I had the tablet. If it does it would be a major plus.
Well we know for a fact that the 40 pin connector that is used to hook up the tablet to PC and charger through USB allows for USB host, we just don't know if it would be so simple that all we have to do is use a female to female converter.
I would think that it would work, because that's how you transfer files to the tablet. Not sure about peripherals though. If this does work it would easily make this better then any tablet.
if I can get myself to put down the money and if someone posts a link I'll try it.

I meant usb female to USB female since I don't have anything with microUSB just wanna test host.
Just bought http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BSN4UY female to female adapter, I'll test USB host I guess
The tablet only has a micro, so I guess I don't understand why you would buy that item.

The tablet doesn't have a micro port, it has a proprietary 40 pin to USB male cable with a proprietary 40 pin socket. So you need atleast reg female to reg female to get host at the minimum.
Never mind just figured it out. You are going to use the micro usb cable that can with the tablet and hook up the female to female. Sorry.
I thought the tablet did have a micro usb host?
only ports are the proprietary connector used for hooking it up to the PC/charger/dock and mini HDMI out. But the proprietary connector supports USB host.

NEED HELP FINDING A CABLE.
I need it to be about 5-6 inches.
It's for a project I am trying to do.
The one I really need is....
Female mini usb to male mini usb, No adapter just a cable
like this>>>
Cable in picture is:
Micro USB Male to Mini USB Female Adapter Converter (9CM-Length)
I would search/call MonoPrice
Agreed I use http://www.monoprice.com all the time
Female mini usb to male mini usb.
Female mini usb to male micro usb.
but the length of the one in picture.
I looked all over the web and, I don't think they make that cable!

Perhaps it is your search terminology? I Googled Mini USB extension cable and found plenty of results, one of which lead to this forum. If you find one that is a little long USB is very easy to shorten, just 4 wires

USB OTG on TF300T

Hi
this tablet support OTG or not ??
on duck there is USB 2.0 port , but I do not have the duck
so can we made OTG support via a micro usb to usb cable?
Hi! You need original asus USB host. adapter.
For the record, that's this thing, it connects to the 40-pin port:

ooooh . that's pretty expensive
Could one not just use the port->usb charging cable that came with the device with a $1 USB female to female connector?
I don't think so, I remember reading something about only the dock having the required host-only/USB OTG chip.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005PAINXQ/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00
You can get it a little cheaper on Amazon, but you are going to have a VERY hard time getting anyone that will ship to Iran.

[Q] Help with otg cable

Sorry, i am new to this site but I wanted to know if I can use my standard USB charger, short out certain pins to be able to go into otg mode, I made my own female to male cable so I'm happy, but I was wanting to know if it was possible.

You most definitely can, but you have to mod the 30-pin connector itself -- it can't be done on the other end of a USB cable. You will find all the info you need here:
